## EdCast Reviews
  ### 1. EDCAST REVIEW

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kajal T. | Claims Adjustment Associate, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

**What do you like best about EdCast?**

EdCast combines personalized learning paths, content curation and AI-driven recommendations into a platform that streamlines knowledge sharing and skill development. The emphasis lies on rapid onboarding and on-the-job learning, so training time aligns with operational needs.

**What do you dislike about EdCast?**

Users find the management of API/integrations difficult, as many are solely controlled by the vendor.

**What problems is EdCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EdCast brings together personalized learning paths, curated content, and AI-powered recommendations in a single platform designed to simplify knowledge sharing and support skill development. The platform focuses on quick onboarding and learning in the flow of work, ensuring that training time matches the demands of daily operations.

  ### 2. Personalised learning, intuitive and easy for admins

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria N. | Product Manager - Third Party Employee Learning Solutions, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2024

**What do you like best about EdCast?**

Customisations and flexibility of configurations

**What do you dislike about EdCast?**

API/Integrations are hard to manage. A lot of integrations are only managed by vendor.

**What problems is EdCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Advancing upskilling, personalised learning we saw more engaged employees.

  ### 3. Pretty but what a mess.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Facilities Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2023

**What do you like best about EdCast?**

* Easy to make visually engaging without any coding
* Can highlight information specific to your company
* Can easily incorporate other external content or internally-created content
* In-line player allows users to see content with one click in the same window -- for the content it works with.
* Social features and knowledge sharing seem appealing, though we haven't been able to get any engagement in these due to all the technical issues.

**What do you dislike about EdCast?**

* A lot of technical issues on mobile
* Reporting is non-existent. Nothing useful in the system. Any useful reporting is an extra cost.
* Constant issues. Data connection from Cornerstone not working when it says it will. Assignments disappearing. Email doesn't work. More and more content doesn't work with the inline player.

**What problems is EdCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were really excited to create a more engaging user experience, share more internal information, and highlight information related to current initiatives; however, we are over a year in and are ready to give up on this. There's a lot we are missing from the demonstration and we have constant issues. I'm confused how it works so much better for others. I think this may be a great product someday, but it's not there yet and there's a lot to tackle before it is.

  ### 4. A tool for content and LMS

**What problems is EdCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can uplaod one content at a time and while uploading if I choose thumbnail it wont be there I need to edit the cars again and assign the image

**What problems is EdCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The EdCast LXP introduced the concept called skills passport, the skills passport allows me to create an Inventory of skills that the current employee possesses. So whenever there is a new requirement that comes in I know if this gap can be filled up by an existing employee. And this has helped me in increase in productivity, reduce employee churn rate and most importantly reduced cost.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deepak A. | Sales and Operations Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2021

**What do you like best about EdCast?**

I liked some features they've added like "smart card" and "progress tracker" I haven't seen anything like it before. The smart card feature is personally my favorite since it allows us to stay up to date with our industry and we can find all this information in just 1 place. The progress tracker feature is excellent as it allows one to stay on track with our goals and helps with necessary prompts when necessary. Overall I feel the app goes beyond generic e-learning platforms and has excellent learning content.

**What do you dislike about EdCast?**

I personally felt the number of choice of courses for each topic was a little too much. Since it creates more confusion.

**What problems is EdCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have observed Edcast has helped me stay committed to my learning goals in the long run with their features and also options of multiple devices and platforms. In this way, it easily blended into my routine instead of me having to having to make time for it in schedule.

2. Badges - You earn badges when you complete a course or module, and you can share the same on
social media

Plus the content integration & customisation is a breeze.

There are parts of the platform which are still using old UI and need little enhacement.

**What problems is EdCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ease of integration and diversity of the content partners was a primary solution for our organisation.

All this put together with the powerful integrations from various platform have made Edcast a Ideal LXP platform which is sure to lead the way in this industry.

**What do you dislike about EdCast?**

I could see some features like group, follow, sharing or commenting are still not that ready in the sense that not many people are using and interacting with them.

**What problems is EdCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Edcast has brought forward a unified way of learning and managing learning for our business. It's integrations and availability on multiple platforms enabled a 360° learning ecosystem in our company, overall we found Edcast to be a complete LXP solution.

  ### 21. The Worst "Modern" Software Ever

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2021

**What do you like best about EdCast?**

I like the idea of it. The CEO describes it as the "Netflix of training" and that's nice.

**What do you dislike about EdCast?**

Three primary reasons:
1. Deleting any copy of a basic SmartCard deletes the original (WTF?) and there is no way to recover it; there is no "trash can" of any kind.
2. Windows 95 in MS Word copies and pastes better than this crap software; it's like a nightmare copying the same exact content and getting different results!
3. It constantly breaks. Even after being promised "all will be fixed" it can easily be broken by copying and pasting.

**What problems is EdCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm just doing my job!

  ### 22. It's like OTT of learning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Events Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2021

**What do you like best about EdCast?**

EdCast LXP motivated me to learn, it inspired me to learn. When the LXP was first introduced in our company, I was only exploring and stumbled upon a course on Machine Learning. I took up the course and gained ML skills, which I feel is the future skill.

Also, we also get access to an app that allows you to carry on from where I had paused.

**What do you dislike about EdCast?**

There are new courses, and content added frequently, I wish I would get a monthly guide or an update. This would help me in selecting new things to learn.

**What problems is EdCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EdCast LXP clearly helps many other employees like me to Upskill themselves and be future-ready.

  ### 23. Gained skilled using EdCast LXP

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhay J. | Senior Manager - Occupier Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2021

**What do you like best about EdCast?**

The simplicity of LXP is remarkable; you just select topics of your interest and their AI recommends you courses. I am into sales and marketing, but yet I was able to learn coding and created my own website - this felt rewarding.

**What do you dislike about EdCast?**

The android app sometimes fails to log in, tit requires some bug fixing.

**What problems is EdCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been waiting to learn something new, and EdCast LXP truly helped me to upskill myself.

  ### 24. Constant Innovation and Evolving User Experience!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frank Z. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2020

**What do you like best about EdCast?**

I like the evolution of the platform throughout the year, with updates to the web app every 6 weeks and mobile every quarter, EdCast takes feedback from clients and incorporates recommendations into updates in a timely manner. In addition, the "Learning in the Flow of Work" elements, with widgets for Office 365, Teams, and even Google Chrome, it makes it easy for our Learners to access the platform. It's VERY easy to create content and has reports in place to report and monitor content that may not be appropriate for the platform. Their Support team is very responsive and communicates progress as well as offer mitigation in case the issue can't be solved immediately.

**What do you dislike about EdCast?**

Some updates make logical sense, and some might not take the user experience fully into account. It's easy to alert them and develop a plan to update, but sometimes it requires discussions to make Engineering understand the use cases. Administrators can't proxy in as users to see their experience in the system. It does not allow Admins to complete content for users, all user driven.

**What problems is EdCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

EdCast really gets the business involved in learning! It's no longer ONLY with the Learning function, so we are seeing great tacit knowledge being shared making it a great on and off-boarding tool. It also reflects current thinking and knowledge so content is relevant and fresh. Also, our newer employees really like the UX so they leverage the system a lot more, especially the mobile platform.

  ### 25. Platform is great, support could be better

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2020

**What do you like best about EdCast?**

The flexibility of the product to accomplish almost anything we ask for. I also appreciate they allowed us to white-label for my organization. The Browser integrations and MS team integrations are really cool as well.

The training and implementation process was great well. I appreciated their well throughout plan to how we get us started and what has been even more impressive is the learning experience connection resource center has been to keep growing and engaging our account. I feel we are just at the tip of getting started.

**What do you dislike about EdCast?**

Support team responsiveness could be slow at times. We sometimes needed to understand who was responsible for our service, but there were always willing to help. We have recommended that they provide one central person as our go-to person, and they work with the other in the background to reduce complexity of support to my internal teams.

**Recommendations to others considering EdCast:**

Ensure you have full leadership and IT support, and internal resources to carry this project to completion. I would also recommend that you are fully prepared to adopt this platform as a strategy. This will take 2-3 years to be fully adopted and as a talent and learning strategy. We also went about and beyond to integrate more systems than normal to create a full talent ecosystem leveraging EdCast as our front door.

**What problems is EdCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have multiple content sources, and multiple LMS's so we put EdCast on top and integrated all the content sources so it improves the end-user experience.

  ### 26. Some what challenging as a platform

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2020

**What do you like best about EdCast?**

There are significant amount of features and functions within the platform. These functions can help to get people adopted into the platform and allow many use cases to be covered in Edcast.

**What do you dislike about EdCast?**

There is very little usability focus in the platform. Features seems to come out half developed or developed against standard software usability guidelines. This makes using the platform confusing for the users and require training people before they get into the platform. In addition, integrations seem to have to driven by the customer, when we work with the edcast team, they seems to be unsure how the integrations should be designed or work. Edcast tends to the do the integration and then comes back to find out how it should be done - scoping of solutions is almost non-existent unless driven by the customer - instead of the vendor driving the project. Seems backwards based on my 30 years experience in the software business. During an internal usability study of the platform, numerous areas of improvement were called out, some of which are faults in the design of the platform and not something we can adjust on the customer end.

**What problems is EdCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using the edcast platform as a gateway to access learning content from aggregated content sources, leadership development, knowledge sharing, compliance training, etc. Given the is an enterprise implementation, other use cases exist that may not be known to the administration team.

  ### 27. How to deploy EdCast to 50000 users.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2020

**What do you like best about EdCast?**

The capability to easily integrate any type of content (internal and external) and third party partners. UX change drastically the way to consume and create learning. The on the flow of work integration such as Facebook and Google.

**What do you dislike about EdCast?**

The stability of the platform. The platform is sometime quite unstable and also some feature are not working properly such as search engine, filters...
The documentation, we are missing some basic documentation to use the platform.
The mobile version of the site.

**Recommendations to others considering EdCast:**

Don't under estimate the change for the Learning Community.

**What problems is EdCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mindset change regarding learning, and sift to a learning company/learning culture. The speed of implementing new digital training, the capability to integrate varisous sources (internal and external) to benefit of the best of the two worlds. UX compare to other learning solution, makes our life eaiser. The AI recommendation that brings insight and push the boundaries of curiosity. And many other.

  ### 28. Nice system for learning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2019

**What do you like best about EdCast?**

EdCast has a simply, clean interface and sync nicely from desktop to mobile app when needed. My company uses this tool for various required and optional learning resources to grow within the organization. You can easily add courses and learning plans to your queue as well!

**What do you dislike about EdCast?**

I haven't found too many things I don't like about this. I'm sure apps like this get updated often, which I hope becomes the case here - I like learning and sometimes the best times it's just me and my iPhone or laptop while commuting on the light rail.

**Recommendations to others considering EdCast:**

It's pretty awesome that this app blends content discovery with communications (ie - live streaming!!).

**What problems is EdCast solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I usually browse on Twitter, I end up wasting a lot of time, going from one link to another. However, it wasn’t the case here. Content related to a topic was all in one place and had sufficient info that I didn’t need to follow links which ended up not wasting time.

The content is very similar to a lot of other popular sites, but since it’s all curated for you under a topic, you don’t have to go around looking for people to follow. It’s nice when an app does that for you since I don’t always know the experts in the field to follow. The content could be more richer and have weighted opinions, but since it’s the first release, I would give them the benefit of doubt.
