It manages your patents and trademarks, with connections to the USPTO, CIPO, AU, and EU offices. It provides real time updates of your events and due dates and provides daily reminder reports of upcoming events and due dates. DocketTrak is well known for its ease of use, very different from the other docketing systems. It is customizable for reporting, rules, and form letters. PAIR Connect is our very popular feature that lets you connect to your Private PAIR account to import patent records. Plus, we have an independent e-office action email process whereby your office action emails are received by us and we automatically add the necessary events and due dates to your patent record, no PAIR connection required. This system is so user friendly and easy to customize. **What do you dislike about DocketTrak?** Nothing - it is worth very penny of the cost. **Recommendations to others considering DocketTrak:** This is one of the systems out of the box it may need customizations but they are so easy to do, you might as well. **What problems is DocketTrak solving and how is that benefiting you?** Every time I have a problem, I contact DocketTrak and they either come up with an immediate fix or add it to the next release. They listen to the clients needs and act on them. ### 2. The flexibility of building my own docket triggers and forms is huge and being able to send reminder and completion e-mails and letter right from the platform (after being reminded by the reporting system), along with auto-docketing of new matters, take several matters out of my hands so I spend that time elsewhere. The pricing is great. **What do you dislike about DocketTrak?** Not really a dislike, but I would like to see more integrations (though the calendar does integrate with Outlook and Gmail) - the biggest one would be allowing for Zapier integrations to assist in syncing full contact data of clients. **Recommendations to others considering DocketTrak:** Take time to think about what you actually need in a system and take a look. **What problems is DocketTrak solving and how is that benefiting you?** Less time docketing and managing the status of applications means more time to market to new and existing clients. ### 3. DocketTrak syncs with the Patent and Trademark Office (Patent and Trademark records/events) and allows the AutoDockets to trigger and create events. The auto-created events allow us to assign tasks to staff and keep work flow timely and efficient. One of the interesting things about DocketTrak is that it is highly customizable, if you want, yet it also is very effective in its simplest form. We have been using DocketTrak for years and it has helped our firm increase productivity and manage our patent portfolios very easily. The user-interface is basic, but it allows this platform to be utilized without any distractions or delays. Customer service and support are personalized and nearly instantaneous. Onboarding was very easy years ago and a customer support tech walked us through the entire process. **What do you dislike about DocketTrak?** There are occasional connectivity issues between the Patent and Trademark Office electronic systems and DocketTrak; however, these issues are usually remedied but re-connecting the syncing function. **What problems is DocketTrak solving and how is that benefiting you?** Staff task flow, docket management. The software is very easy to customize and the emailed reports help keep us on top of our deadlines. It is much more affordable than the other products I reviewed. Once I had committed to the software, I was delighted to find it very flexible and customisable. I can design my own docket templates for different countries, and update them easily. Ease of use: it takes me five minutes to create a new record, at most. If the patent application is published in the US, I can pull data from the public record with a few clicks. Very helpful for automating as many steps as possible, and ensuring quality data. I can attached my own documents, including PDFs and MS Word documents, to each record. There seems to be no limit to the number of documents I can attach. **What do you dislike about DocketTrak?** Certain kinds of characters such as % are not welcome in the text fields. The amount of data I can enter into the abstract or notes is limited. **What problems is DocketTrak solving and how is that benefiting you?** Making sure I was timely with responses and calendaring events and file reviews. ### 6. DocketTrak is reliable, and I have never noticed any downtime. It is easy to use, flexible and integrates with the USPTO email notification system. I started using DocketTrak about a decade ago, and have since placed two of my clients on DocketTrak. I highly recommend DocketTrak for any sized patent organization. **What do you dislike about DocketTrak?** Anytime I needed a feature added to DocketTrak, I called the company, and they have added the feature. So there is nothing that I dislike about the product. **What problems is DocketTrak solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use DocketTrak to track about 200 patent assets and 200 trademark assets for one client, and about 150 patent assets for another. ### 7. While there is only minimal US country law, the auto docket templates are easy to build. It is nice that the system still scrapes Private PAIR and can pull information from Public PAIR. The system also quickly and efficiently creates US trademark records with complete information. **What do you dislike about DocketTrak?** It would be nice to be able to create better reports rather than views. The statuses are also a little granular. It would be nice to have the simple high level statuses like unfiled, pending, allowed, granted, expired and then the granular statuses as a secondary status. **Recommendations to others considering DocketTrak:** If you need a web based solution that is cost effective and easy to manage, DocketTrak is a great solution. **What problems is DocketTrak solving and how is that benefiting you?** I needed a reliable, low-cost docketing system that I could provide access to my clients. I am able to upload key emails and documents to the system in order to have these in a place where other users of the system are able to access them. ### 8. I prefer working in a cloud-based application that I can log into anytime, from any PC, and that automatically receives frequent updates and improvements. In addition, new and small firms will appreciate that DocketTrak is available for a low monthly payment without any hefty upfront expense. I particularly appreciate the daily docket reports that I receive by email, first thing in the morning, and the ability to update docket records by direct import from the USPTO. While I have found DocketTrak to be quite intuitive to use, excellent support is only a phone call or email away. I always receive a response to questions same-day, and often within the hour. **What do you dislike about DocketTrak?** Frankly, I do not have any complaints with DocketTrak. I am generally quick to call with problems or questions, but I have none at this time.
