It has tones of ready to use images and videos and the they have made the filters very simple to use so that you can easily get what you want. **What do you dislike about Dissolve?** One of the Downside i feel about the Dissolve is their pricing is not very clear on the website. I feel for a begineer its little tricky to understand how it works. **What problems is Dissolve solving and how is that benefiting you?** With so many creative footages and photos, its really helping to reduce the production time making me and my clients really happy. ### 2. The folders and cloud features are just awesome. The wide library of stock images it contains helped me improve a lot of projects and presentations. For contributors, the best part is the simple upload process. **What do you dislike about Dissolve?** You lose control of your footage the moment it's uploaded. You cannot modify details or delete clips. If someone forces a credit card refund on a sale of your clip, Dissolve will pocket any future revenue from your other clips, until it covers the refund amount. In short, contributors are forced to pay for any customer charge-backs. **What problems is Dissolve solving and how is that benefiting you?** Dissolve support for contributors is severely lacking. Response time is inconsistent. Sometimes days, sometimes weeks, sometimes no response at all. Also help given, or reasons provided for issues can be inconsistent, at least in my experience. ### 7. The images offered also have a "raw," realistic quality to them, which aligned really well for our clients that don't want the generic feel of stock images, but don't have in-house creative to pick from. I also like the filters available for choosing images - Dissolve allows users to filter by "shot frame" and "shot type" and this is incredibly helpful when you already have a point of view in mind and you just need to find the stock to fit your vision. It saves a lot of time. **What do you dislike about Dissolve?** The formal, business setting stock is a little more limited than other sites, which is understandable since DIssolve seems to focus on more creative content (rather than buttoned-up images). I hate the pricing model - it honestly almost makes it not worth it, especially if you need stock for a piece that requires a lot of images. Their pricing is per image and based on size, which is a total pain because most creative pieces necessitate a larger image size regardless, so a 600px stock isn't going to cut it. **What problems is Dissolve solving and how is that benefiting you?** A primary problem we've solved is finding stock that aligns with our client's very particular point of view. Our client is a tech leader and their stock needs to align with the company vision: innovative, simple, and human. We've found that Dissolve stock really seems to fit with these standards, so it makes it easier for us to go through less review rounds when we use Dissolve. ### 8. But overall, it is pretty comparable to other stock photography prices. I often rely on the footage to help bridge the budget-busters of time, distance, and access. Much of the footage is available with multiple takes that help match tempo, screen direction, movement, and style. **What do you dislike about Dissolve?** Footage from Dissolve can be expensive. There are lots of pricing options among available clips, but before building a lightbox be sure to check the price on each individual clip. What I've found is that with a little effort, the Dissolve site has lower-priced footage options. **Recommendations to others considering Dissolve:** As a producer, I source stock footage from a variety of sources. Many stock footage providers offer the same footage. I've found Dissolve to offer a range of content unavailable from other providers. **What problems is Dissolve solving and how is that benefiting you?** I wish our production crews could be everywhere and shoot everything we need. It's just not possible nor is it cost-justifiable.
