Dissolve Reviews & Product Details

The best thing about Dissolve is the ease to find exactly what I want. It has tons of ready-to-use images and videos, and they have made the filters very simple to use so that you can easily get what you want. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One of the downsides I feel about Dissolve is their pricing is not very clear on the website. I feel for a beginner it's a little tricky to understand how it works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Despite not having a website design that matches up with its competitors Dissolve. may have some limitations in areas like Nature Photography. The pricing model can be a bit cumbersome. It is comparable to stock providers. The option to filter by price is particularly useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The sluggish support provided to contributors is a drawback. There are instances where no response is received all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I loved the number of tools and features it offers. The folders and cloud features are just awesome. It's very easy to share pics and videos with other team members. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The team is going on the correct path, there isn't anything that I haven't liked yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Using Dissolve was very convenient and easy. The wide library of stock images it contains helped me improve a lot of projects and presentations. The free searching feature helped me make my decision to select Dissolve for my work purposes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The design of Dissolve's website is not up to the mark as compared to its competitors. Even though the selection is wide, it lacks good images in certain fields like Nature Photography, considering better images are available on other sites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For users, It is adequate. For contributors, the best part is the simple upload process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

You lose control of your footage the moment it's uploaded. You cannot modify details or delete clips.

If someone forces a credit card refund on a sale of your clip, Dissolve will pocket any future revenue from your other clips, until it covers the refund amount. In short, contributors are forced to pay for any customer charge-backs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've only used Dissolve for stock images so far, and I love that they seem to feature pictures that are not offered on other stock sites like istock or Adobe. The images offered also have a "raw," realistic quality to them, which aligned really well for our clients that don't want the generic feel of stock images, but don't have in-house creative to pick from. I also like the filters available for choosing images - Dissolve allows users to filter by "shot frame" and "shot type" and this is incredibly helpful when you already have a point of view in mind and you just need to find the stock to fit your vision. It saves a lot of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The formal, business setting stock is a little more limited than other sites, which is understandable since Dissolve seems to focus on more creative content (rather than buttoned-up images). I hate the pricing model - it honestly almost makes it not worth it, especially if you need stock for a piece that requires a lot of images. Their pricing is per image and based on size, which is a total pain because most creative pieces necessitate a larger image size regardless, so a 600px stock isn't going to cut it. The footage quality is really good. Not much bad stuff on there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The cost of footage is high compared to other stock providers in the marketplace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Dissolve is an excellent site for unique imagery. We use Dissolve as a company when looking for photography that doesn't look staged, feels authentic and has different models than the other stock sites. The search and filtering tools work well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The prices range pretty drastically, so if you need to keep an eye on a budget, that can be an issue. But overall, it is pretty comparable to other stock photography prices. The filtering by price is a nice feature if you are super dependent on price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Good choice of high quality content. They also have "different" stuff than many other similar websites offer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Maybe I wish they had more to choose from, dunno. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
