**What do you like best about Disruptive Advertising?**

The staff is friendly and professional and they always bring creative ideas and proven solutions to ensure that my marketing dollars are used effectively.  They have a TON of data to back up how marketing dollars are spent and I always get a good ROAS.

**What do you dislike about Disruptive Advertising?**

They are a big agency and they have a specific Ideal Client Profile.  If your company doesn't fit their ICP they will tell you they are not the best fit to help you grow your business.  They have a bunch of great partners they work with that can handle just about any industry so even when they can't work with you they still can make sure you are taken care of.

**Recommendations to others considering Disruptive Advertising:**

Put them to the test.  Have a discovery call with their team and have them put some ideas together for you and have them analyze your data.  They will look at your brand, your vision and your execution and give you a score of how you are doing.   If you want to go execute the marketing plan on your own, they are OK with that.  If you want to have them do it (and they will do it far better than you can) they are happy to do that as well.

Disruptive Advertising is a phenomenal agency.  I have worked with them with several of my companies over the last 7 years and they always get results.  Chad de Lisle has become a close friend and his insights, expertise and execution are always top notch.  I wish I had found them sooner and that I hadn't wasted marketing budgets with other agencies.  These guys are always happy and helpful and they go above and beyond to make the whole experience successful and enjoyable.

They consistently bring fresh, innovative ideas to the table and take the time to clearly explain their strategies and reasoning. Their communication is prompt and dependable, and they’re always eager to lend a hand—even in areas outside the scope. Most importantly, we've seen tangible results across every service they've provided, which is ultimately the true measure of a successful vendor partnership.

**What do you dislike about Disruptive Advertising?**

There’s very little we’d consider a downside when it comes to working with Disruptive. However, one challenge we've encountered is the turnover in account managers—we’ve had to transition through three so far. While one change was understandably outside their control (our manager accepted a senior role elsewhere), it can be challenging to lose momentum after building a strong working relationship over six months or more. That said, we recognize that some transitions are inevitable and part of a growing, dynamic team.

Go for it—start with just one service and see the value they bring. You won’t be disappointed. Disruptive will collaborate with you to build a marketing partnership that integrates seamlessly with your existing team. Disruptive brings a very personal approach to marketing. They took the time to understand our challenges and were very thoughtful and intentional about the plane they presented. And, even better, they continue to fulfill on that plan and we are seeing fantastic results.

I don't have a lot to say here. As a small business the cost is always going to be an issue but we are willing to pay it because the results have been really good.

Regardless of what you're trying to do within your marketing plan, Disruptive can help. They would be equally good working with a marketing professional as they are with somebody who kind of understands marketing but mostly just has goals and problems and needs help but isn't totally sure how to solve them. You should consider them without a doubt.

**What problems is Disruptive Advertising solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a small business, we don't have a full time marketing person and often 3-4 people pitch in and try and figure out all the marketing items. Once we brought our challenges up to Disruptive, they came with a plan that made sense to us and we felt like we'd get a really good ROI from in.

Blake and Chelsea have been amazing. I look forward to our bi-weekly calls and know they have our best interest in mind all the time. We've seen many of the KPIs we care most about get significantly better as a result of them and their team. I can't recommend them enough.

**What do you like best about Disruptive Advertising?**

We love our PPC strategist. We've had him on our account for a few years now, and we have a ton of confidence in him. I appreciate that he is always thinking about our business holistically and not just pushing us to up our spend. It's tough to know the ins and outs of Google Ads strategy if you're not in the platform all the time and it's very reassuring to have someone managing it who we can trust and is always thinking about our primary business objectives.

We've had various members of their team rotate through roles with us and some have been misses but we're happy with who is currently managing our account and platforms.

Disruptive is owning the strategy and helping manage our paid search and paid social campaigns.

Our account manager Derek is available whenever we need him. He checks our accounts daily to make sure everything is working correctly. It gives us real peace of mind. We have only been with them a short time but it feels they are really working towards the success of our company.

They are a more expensive option, but after being with other advertising companies, you definitely get what you pay for. They offer a much more premium service.

**What do you like best about Disruptive Advertising?**

One of the best things about Disruptive is how on top of changes they are. When Google was changing over from Google Analytics to GA4 Disruptive was right there to get us changed over and make sure there was no down time. By making the change quickly and helping us do it we were able to build up a full year of data in GA4 before the cut off. It made our forecasting work so much better.

**What do you dislike about Disruptive Advertising?**

I would have to say that there is not anyting I dislike. At one point we were not too excited about the added management fee we were receiving everytime we added a new marketing area (Pinterest, Tik Tok, You Tube...). The problem was we did not know if these areas would work good for us. Upon discussion with Disruptive we were able to come to an agreement that we would move slowly into these new areas and determine if they would work for our company. Some have and we have added the management fee on while others have not and we discontinued them. They are amazing at wanting to solve the problems with us.

**Recommendations to others considering Disruptive Advertising:**

I would 100% recommend Disruptive. With DA you are not only getting your management team but you are getting the whole company. I did not know until I went to my first client summit and visited their offices how many of the employees had given advice and had discussions on how to help my company. All I did is state the company that I worked for and DA employees would say, "oh I love your company, I sat in on a few discussions about how to help out". You can tell that the employees at DA feel more like family that employees and they take great pride in their work and company.

When we started with Disruptive our paid advertising was on a downward swing. The company we were with before could not figure out how to stop the slide and build us back up. Disruptive came in and almost over night stopped the tail spin and got us on the right direction. Over the 4 years that we have been with Disruptive we have had growth every year. Their employees are the best. They not only look at our company as a client but as part of our company. The communication is excelent and the trust has been built that gives us a peace of mind that our best interests are at heart.

What sets them apart is not only their extensive knowledge, but how they treat you. It's like talking to friends who genuinely care about your business.

These guys and gals really know their stuff. Nolan Haycock was the rep who set us all up - there was no werid or dishonest sales tactics - just a kind and caring individual looking to get us where we needed to go. Felt more like a friendly pilot asking our destination than a hostage negotiation. 

As far as the team, the squad, the band - TJ Bishop is the captain of the ship, and he's been great at breaking things down without all the jargon.

Shelby Crummer rocks the Google Ads game, Cory Wray knows Social Media inside out, and Andrew Gormally's SEO skills are top-notch. They're not just experts; they're real people who get it.

What I love is that they don't make you feel dumb for not knowing stuff too. It's like chatting with friends who happen to be marketing geniuses.

We have a lack of hands on experience with several ad platforms and not enough man hours even if we did. Disruptive really feels like a team thats here to support us and be our concrete between the bricks.

The price is high compared to other advertising companies.  The customer service is great so it levels itself out but it's a big bill.

Their SEO program is top notch!  It has put us on the map for Google.   They have really went above and beyond to make sure we are found on Google.

Disruptive took over all of our Google and Bing advertising about 3.5 years ago. They taught me a lot about how Google and Bing operate (I was new to these platforms before) and suggested some new campaigns and strategies to try. They made my job easy and I knew we were in good hands and they continued to optimize our campaigns.

I liked the weekly communitcations and updated pitch decks weekly so we always knew what was coming.

There are many services that ad up quickly and it was unattainable for many of my clients who many millions of dollars in rev.

**What do you like best about Disruptive Advertising?**

Nothing, after six months they became very slow to respond and the ads were sloppy.

**What do you dislike about Disruptive Advertising?**

They don't hold themselves accountable for poor performance and don't deliver on what they promised. I was supposed to receive my ad creatives after I canceled their services, and they refused to send.

**Recommendations to others considering Disruptive Advertising:**

I would recommend using someone else. They are a typical ad agency, they start off hot, but when they don't results or, in my case, when the results start to get worse, they don't have an answer and focus their resources other places. They didn't even test landing pages, sales funnels or offers more than one time. I've been advertising in this space online for over twenty years.

They were supposed to lower my cost per acquisition with facebook ads from $50. Instead they increased it to $240.

DA has once or twice overstepped the mark when implementing policies (and it's higher management, not the day-to-day folks who have always been excellent). The one that still rankles was turning on recording of calls without asking the permission of their customers - that was just plain rude.

The folks at Disruptive really take the time to understand our business and our goals, and work to achieve those while also making sure we understand the best practices, and the actions that will help us get those results. They are quick to respond to communications, provide regular reporting, and are on the ball with watching our campaigns. As soon as a campaign isn't doing as well as they'd like, the adjust it and try something else.

I'm not sure if this is applicable to everyone, but we did provide most of the creative collateral ourselves. We already had a lot of it, so perhaps if we hadn't they would have created more of it.

The only potential drawback is that when working with any agency, you are not getting the same level of support that you would from a full-time dedicated employee, but that is to be expected. We hired them to manage our Google Shopping campaigns during our first year in business.   Because our account was small, they assigned an inexperienced account manager to us.  He didn't touch anything and for weeks we kept pushing for actual changes made to the campaigns.   After 3 months of money down the toilet, we ended our contract, took the campaign management back and taught ourselves how to manage our ads.    We should have demanded a refund.... live and learn.  I wouldn't recommend them at all.

  ### 48. 😭 Low to mediocre competence. 🤦‍♂️Negligent ad account management.

Disruptive was hired to take over my 
• Facebook Ads account. 
• Start running ads on Google ad platform, 
• Create a 2 motion creatives per month.
• Weekly calls and updates from account manager.

**What do you like best about Disruptive Advertising?**

Competitive pricing. Nice folks to chat to.
Capability to create nice creatives, if you're lucky enough to be assigned to the right creator(s).

**What do you dislike about Disruptive Advertising?**

1️⃣ Poor ad platform competency
I believe the team I was assigned was probably pretty low experience, spread too thin, or both. I've run my own Facebook ads for over a year now, on an account averaging 3.6 ROAS making a bit over a mil in revenue.

The first month, my FB account was touched 4 times. Roughly once a week, 6 times on month two.
Very few, experiments. Some very basic headscratchers... testing performance between 1%, 5%, 10% lookalike audiences, for instance.
As a practice, they were stuck in the stone age using Adset level campaign budgets. Had never heard of Reach & Frequency campaigns.

Frustratingly, there was little to no attempt to understand, learn from, or use the audiences and creatives I had spent hundreds of thousands to prove. Even after prodding.

Google Ads was equally paltry in experiments. Only the most obvious of search terms and keywords were ever looked at.

Disruptive managed to average 1.67 ROAS on FB with their campaigns, dropping to 1.47 ROAS in the final week I allowed them to access my account.
Google, the average was 1.39 ROAS, trending toward 1.5 in the final weeks.

The first round of motion ads... low in execution. Visual inconsistencies. Spelling errors, worst of all, unappealing.
The second round of motion ads, some looked pretty decent! But were never added to campaign.

2️⃣ the Weekly reports
Each week, I'd hop on a call with the account manager. There was typically good news to be had.
25% increase in conversion rate on this ad set. Exciting momentum to be scaled. Increase in revenue by 24% in a week.
I'd give some tips about how best to reach our customers.
Promises of new ad creatives, to use my existing creatives.

Sounds great, but it's not. This is my least favorite thing about this experience.
but.... 😡 The reports were misleading.
- I had to prod them to include their agency fees into the advertising budget reports. They were content to tell me my budget was fine while ignore their own rates.
- Weekly Reporting of Ad account ALWAYS includes our own legacy campaigns, which were still performing nicely.
- That 24% increase in revenue? Was a result of scaling of < 2 ROAS ad sets up to drive more revenue.
- Those promises? Never materialized. New creatives I paid for were never run. Nods to use my existing winning creatives not followed.

Each week, despite the positive news, my bank account was dwindling. Fast.

3️⃣ Negligent account management 💩
Eventually, when my business could take no more I started poking into the account.
As I mentioned before, here's where I discovered that increased revenue was due to scaling of unprofitable ad sets. Each dollar of revenue was causing me 15-20% loss 😭
Leaving failing ad experiments running. 
Sunsetting my high performing ads.

4️⃣ On my team?
Who can say for sure, but my understanding is this.
Disruptive truly believes given enough time they could have turned things around. But at what cost?
They were willing to obfuscate the truth from their client to look good.
They were choosing to not use my creatives and existing campaigns in an effort to find their own winners to justify their continued existence.

👍 They were kind enough to "release" me from a 6 month commitment. I believe given the chance they would have milked this for the full 6 months at my expense.
Oh yeah, they are more than happy to then collect an additional month's management fees. Even though they are no longer working with my account.
Zero skin in the game. Smart.

💃 The story book ending is that a single day after banning DA from the account, shutting down their adsets and spinning up a creatives myself, I'm riding 4+ ROAS and scaling up.

I wanted to free myself up from managing my own ads, to focus on our tech platform and operations.
Ended up back at square one, managing my own ads.

Our dental practice was advertised using Google Ads by two companies and Google
Itself but it was all a a waste of money till we found Disruptive. Some then there is no looking back, they have done a fantastic job for us.

They are superb but I don't like the landing pages they make for the ads, I used my own and they are working fine
