"Scaling with Confidence Using DFNS"
5/5
What do you like best about Dfns?

DFNS continues to deliver meaningful enhancements to its platform, including new capabilities such as cross-chain swaps. Previously, our team relied on a third-party solution outside of the DFNS dashboard, but these new secure integrations now allow us to manage the entire swap process within a single environment. This gives us greater operational control while simplifying reconciliation and improving overall efficiency.

One of the standout aspects of working with DFNS has been their support. They maintain an active support channel with specialists covering technical questions, implementation, and general product guidance. Given that our team operates across multiple time zones, their responsiveness has been especially valuable and has helped keep projects moving without unnecessary delays.

From a technical perspective, our CTO noted that the integration was straightforward and well documented, allowing us to get up and running quickly with minimal friction.

I personally find the dashboard easy to navigate and saves our team time when adding new wallet structures and policies.

Finally, their pricing is extremely competitive, particularly considering the quality of the platform and support they provide. As we continue to scale, we're looking forward to moving into the next performance tier together as our transaction volumes grow throughout Q3. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dfns?

We always want to understand the risks associated with adopting new technology. In our view, every company—including DFNS—benefits from sharing real-world case studies where market participants experienced losses, operational failures, or security incidents. Those examples are often the most valuable learning opportunities for customers.

I’m a strong believer in taking guidance from experienced industry leaders and learning from situations that have already occurred in the market. Transparent case-study guidance helps companies make better decisions around security, operational controls, treasury management, and incident response.

While we have had a very positive experience with DFNS, we believe the industry as a whole would benefit from more structured educational content focused not only on successful implementations, but also on lessons learned from real incidents and how those risks could have been mitigated. That kind of transparency ultimately strengthens trust and helps all participants improve their security posture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Christopher Grilhault des Fontaines of Dfns

Thank you for the review, and in particular for the second half. You are right that this industry publishes wins and buries failures. We can point to our own record, which is zero breaches and zero security incidents since August 2020, but a clean record is not an education. The instructive material sits in the incidents that happened elsewhere: blind signing, compromised operator workstations, approval flows with one real human in them, key ceremonies with a single point of failure. Each one has a control that would have caught it.

We try to write them in the security section of our blog. Structured teardowns of public incidents, with the specific policy and governance configuration that would have prevented each. Let us know if there is anything specific you'd like to dive into.

"Highly Customizable, Friendly UX with Responsive Support and Flat-Fee Pricing"
5/5
What do you like best about Dfns?

Highly customizable, super friendly UX, great asset coverage, with focus on local cloud deployments. Also integrated into Canton- which is a network we are bullish on. We are also able to implement multi party policy control on several of the workflows that are common to a VC- which helps us make the best use of the product. The pricing, being flat fee is also very helpful for a small team that can handle higher assets under management. The team is super responsive at both the UAE level and at the global level and have addressed war related downtimes very quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dfns?

They have some reliance on single party cloud providers in a region- even though that got fixed quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Christopher Grilhault des Fontaines of Dfns

Thank you for the detailed feedback, and good to hear both the UAE and global teams showed up when it mattered.

On cloud concentration: our SaaS platform runs three clusters, in the US, the EU and the UAE, all inside AWS. That gives you regional isolation and data residency. It does not remove single provider dependency, and you are right to name it. With that said, our track record on the SaaS platform is perfect: zero breaches and zero security incidents since August 2020.

For clients where that risk matters, we support hybrid and on-premise configurations. You run signers on your own cloud accounts or your own hardware, and DFNS never holds the full picture. Both options are available to you today.

"Smooth Integration, Intuitive UI, and Outstanding DFNS Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Dfns?

The platform’s functionality and UI are easy to navigate and provide exactly what we need. The integration process was smooth, and the overall performance has been satisfying. When we did run into issues, the DFNS support and dev teams were extremely helpful and efficient, resolving everything much faster than we expected. Overall, we’re very satisfied with the product, which is why we decided to choose DFNS as our wallet infrastructure provider. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dfns?

The only minor issue we’ve noticed is that passkeys don’t work seamlessly in Chrome on macOS and often cause problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Christopher Grilhault des Fontaines of Dfns

Thank you for the review. Good to know the integration went smoothly, and that the team kept up when it did not.

On passkeys in Chrome on macOS, you are not imagining it. That combination is the messiest one in the WebAuthn ecosystem, because Chrome, iCloud Keychain and Touch ID all want to own the credential. Two things help right now. Have users register a second passkey on another device so nobody gets locked out when a prompt misbehaves. And it is worth checking your rpId and origin settings, since misconfiguration there looks a lot like this.

Also tell support which failure you are hitting. The prompt never appearing, dropping to the phone QR flow, and the credential not being offered are three different problems, and we would rather chase the right one.

One more thing. If you are not using policy-gated mint and burn controls on the stablecoin side yet, that is worth 20 minutes with your account contact.

"Outstanding Support, Competitive Pricing, and a Crisp Developer Experience"
5/5
What do you like best about Dfns?

Rapid, helpful, and technically deep customer support for the products that we pay for, as well as a fully fleshed-out and understandable product development timeline. The product performs well, the price point is extremely competitive, the developer experience is crisp and easy to grasp, and it works as advertised. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dfns?

I dislike that the product is billed in EUR rather than USD. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Christopher Grilhault des Fontaines of Dfns

Thank you, Niko! Your feedback means a lot.

We'll fix the billing issue for you, we are able to bill in USD as well. Feel free to ping our finance team on the support chat.

"Extremely responsive team, easy to integrate, and a dashboard that keeps improving"
5/5
What do you like best about Dfns?

The responsiveness. When we reach out on Slack we get answers fast, and the turnaround on issues is excellent. That matters more than anything else when you're running custody in production.

The platform is easy to use even if you're not technical. I'm on the product side, not engineering, and I can find my way around it without help.

The documentation is outstanding. Our engineers integrated DFNS with very little back and forth, and the docs carried most of the weight. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dfns?

Not much worth flagging. The one thing I'd have called out six to nine months ago was the dashboard UI, and they've improved it a lot since. It's much easier now for non-technical users, so credit to the team for that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Christopher Grilhault des Fontaines of Dfns

Thank you for your feedback, and for calling out the dashboard specifically. A lot of work went into it over the last year, so it is good to know it landed!

Please continue to tell us what you want next in the dashboard. You are exactly who we build it for.

"Rock-Solid Wallet Infrastructure with Secure Passkeys and Responsive Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Dfns?

What stands out most is how solid the core wallet infrastructure is for a production app. The API is well documented, and the signing and key management gave us confidence we weren't compromising security for speed of integration. Support for multiple blockchain networks meant we didn't need separate providers or custom logic per chain, which saved significant engineering time. The use of passkeys for authentication is a standout feature, it gives users a much more secure sign-in experience than traditional passwords or seed phrases. Pricing was very good for the value delivered, especially compared to building and maintaining this infrastructure in-house. Support during integration was responsive; when we hit edge cases specific to our mobile flow, we got direct engineering-level answers rather than generic tier-1 responses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dfns?

Overall everything worked well. There wasn't much to dislike. On the few occasions where something didn't behave as we expected, the team was quick to jump in and get it resolved, often turning around fixes or adjustments faster than we anticipated. That responsiveness made the rare rough edges a non-issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Christopher Grilhault des Fontaines of Dfns

Thank you for the review! We especially appreciate your point about getting engineering-level answers rather than generic support.

Passkeys also remove one of the biggest risks of seed phrases: they cannot be phished, copied, or entered in the wrong place. And yes, the same address works across EVM networks, so adding chains often does not require creating new wallets.

"Effortless Integration with Amazing Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Dfns?

I use Dfns for wallet infrastructure for a non-custodial retail application. The ability to integrate with multiple chains very quickly is a significant benefit for me. I really enjoyed the ability to use pass keys on mobile devices, which users find convenient. I liked the customer support the most; the team was always available on Slack or Telegram, making it easy to get in contact and get help, which is especially valuable when you're not a big customer. I never ran into any issues, everything integrated fine, and the support was wonderful in helping me understand the documentation. I like the API as it was more full-featured at the time we switched from Privy. The initial setup of Dfns was super easy, and we got live in a couple of hours, connecting, testing, and then building it out over the next week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Core Component with Stellar Security and Flexibility"
5/5
What do you like best about Dfns?

I love that Dfns is a core part of our tech stack at Suby because it allows us to handle multi-chain and multi-asset transactions with a lot of flexibility in how money moves. Their strong security reputation gives us trust in how they manage stablecoins, so we don't have to deal with the complexity, risk, or licensing. I have a close relationship with one of the founders, and the team listens, moves fast, and is accommodating to young companies like ours. The initial setup was super easy. What do you dislike about Dfns?

Honestly, nothing to report for now Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive APIs, but Errors and Stability Can Improve"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Dfns?

We use Dfns to provide wallets to our clients and perform On/Off Ramp operations. I like the way the APIs were made; they are very simple to understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dfns?

The mapping of error scenarios is not very good, Dfns returns very generic errors in various situations, and we always have to get in touch to understand what actually happened with the transaction. We have been facing stability issues on the testnet networks, especially when making transactions on the Sepolia Ethereum network, where transactions get stuck in the Broadcasted status. Additionally, I think there could be greater flexibility in the policy rules; currently, when I register a policy that can be approved by a service account, we are required to provide the user IDs as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Christopher Grilhault des Fontaines of Dfns

Thank you for the detail. This is more useful to us than a high score.

On errors, you are right. Parsable errors are specced and in the queue, i.e., named reasons on failed transactions and transfers, such as INSUFFICIENT_FUNDS_FOR_FEE, GAS_LIMIT_TOO_LOW, AMOUNT_TOO_SMALL, and DROPPED_BY_BLOCKCHAIN. That takes support out of the loop. Until it lands, every error response carries an "id." Quote it to support and you get the exact trace with no back and forth.

On Sepolia, for transactions stuck in Broadcasted, the Speed Up and Cancel endpoints let you replace the transaction now rather than wait. DROPPED_BY_BLOCKCHAIN will make that state explicit instead of leaving it ambiguous.

On policy rules, requiring user IDs alongside a service account approver is a real limitation. It is with the product team as a named request. Almost there!

"Quick Integration and Responsive Support with Dfns"
5/5
What do you like best about Dfns?

I like the ability to easily integrate cryptocurrencies of our choice thanks to Dfns. Their support is also appreciated because it is responsive and helps us fix issues. I am also satisfied with the security of their platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dfns?

I think the interface part could be improved, especially regarding the wallets section. Today, when wallets are integrated, they are all listed on the same page, or even on multiple pages. I think it would be interesting to have sub-menus by cryptocurrency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Christopher Grilhault des Fontaines of Dfns

Thank you for the review, Dominique! We're proud supporters of you and your team.

The issue you mentioned was actually fixed two weeks ago. You can now filter wallets by asset directly from the Wallets page. The option is inside the filter dropdown, so it may have been easy to miss.
