Anyone can easily find the whats, hows, and whys on their platform and feature flagging approaches from their docs. On top of all that, they are delivering much more than what we needed from a feature flag solution, and for a very small price. We use their product every day and it made our products so much quicker and safer. Now we can even explore doing multiple kinds of beta tests and not worry about unfinished code reaching our customers. Last but not least, whenever we had an question or issue, they were very quick to respond. **What do you dislike about DevCycle?** That the company it is somewhat new. This means it doesn't have all the features others might have. That said, it is not something we miss, and they are quick to add new features and improve existing ones. The truly worst part that I had to deal with them was a piece of software that is in beta. We had an initial trouble setting it up with OpenFeature, but it was just the initial setup. After that it went smoothly. **What problems is DevCycle solving and how is that benefiting you?** Since the implementation is so easy, both on the code and the platform, we are doing way more Alphas and Betas than before. This enables us to have a code that is much more reliable before it reaches the users, and when it reaches, we can gather feedback from a select group before making it available to all. Another point is that this gave the Product team access to control those access. So now they don't need to create tickets to organize releases if they want. Lastly, we don't need to worry about release times as much. We can deploy the code while hidden from everyone, and when it is safe, we can turn the feature flag or even schedule when we want that. No more worrying about broken code that needs to be released. Before we could do some of that, but our in house solutions were much more code dependent. So that means that to give/remove access to someone in a Beta needed a deploy. Not only it was a slower process, which made us do less Alphas and Betas, but it was way riskier. ### 2. I had some experiences in the past where adding new features caused a lot of bugs, however, deploying the code (but hidden with a feature flag) makes Develpers work much easier! Additionally I like that the integration with Go is just amazing. **What do you dislike about DevCycle?** This is not exactly related with DevCycle, but sometimes the latency between the app the feature flags services could affect the user experience. **What problems is DevCycle solving and how is that benefiting you?** When facing a large number of visitors, some componets of our apps slow down the system, using DevCycle to hide those components helps us a lot becuase we dont need to release nothing. ### 22. how to implement CI/CD pipelines like a pro with DevCycle **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2024 **What do you like best about DevCycle?** DevCycle is great because it offers robust feature flag management which we use in our app if we are rushing a feature in beta stage or some features which are optional for cretain user base and if there is an issue with the feature we can hide the feature with just a tap and it will be reflected in the app in realtime ,its that simple to kill a defective code and we mainly use it for CI/CD pipeline for our code but all these feature make it more usefull and it also supports A/B testing and experimentation, and it integrates well with our development tools which made it so easy to implement it to our existing model and now we use it frequently to push updates to our mobile and web application **What do you dislike about DevCycle?** For a new inexperienced person it will be a lot to handle it has a steep learning curve and i think it should pay off and for us we mainly faced issues with documentation its not that deep considering it has a lot of features , i think they should work on th documentation if you are familar with other platforms like this then its not a problem ,another one is customer support it takes time to respond and if youre facing a critical issue and wanted help sometimes it may take a while based on the time that you contacted the support team **What problems is DevCycle solving and how is that benefiting you?** we wanted a CICD managent app and we were looking to implent build piper and then we stumbled across DevCycle and we took DevCycle because of its feature flagging ### 23. We had the SDK integrated and working in about 5 minutes with another 5 minutes to have it running in production. **What do you dislike about DevCycle?** It was impossible to share links to specific pages within the dashboard which led to a lot of extra video calls within the team. Update: this has recently been fixed as "Shareable URLs". **Recommendations to others considering DevCycle:** Strongly recommend giving it a try. It is so easy/fast to get going. You'll quickly know if it is the solution for you. **What problems is DevCycle solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have traditionally built in-house feature flagging (in general, release / ops / permissions etc..) which resulted in more code to manage and a sub-optimal experience for our product team. DevCycle gives us this ability with about 10 lines of code, properly segmented between environments and an interface that empowers our product (and support and ops) teams to participate in the active features. We have traditionally tied our feature flagging data in with general app analytics. Unfortunately, this made it hard to be accessed and easy to ignore. DevCycle splits it out in an easy-to-digest, accessible way so that we use the data to make business and technical decisions. Finally, we white-label a product that presents very different feature sets across customers. Moving to DevCycle has solved all of the pain associated with real-time management of features with white-label deployments.
