"Streamlined Feature Rollouts with Powerful Management"
What do you like best about DevCycle?

I love how DevCycle allows us to streamline feature rollouts in our legacy application, especially as we transition towards Agile development. The modular nature of feature blocks functions greatly enhances our workflow, allowing us to deploy components with precision while toggling functionalities without the need for redeployment. The Environment and Tags sections help us stay organized, and the Targeting rules are impressively flexible, enabling us to add numerous conditions as needed. The ability to create variations for each feature is extremely powerful, and the initial integration documentation was helpful, making setup easy. Additionally, the audit logs are invaluable for tracking changes efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevCycle?

I find it somewhat challenging to manage multiple variables for a feature in DevCycle. When there are more than five variables, each with different conditions, it becomes difficult to handle them efficiently. I feel this aspect could be improved to better support complex feature-specific conditions. Additionally, the initial setup was a bit challenging because we were integrating it into a legacy Angular 9 application, which isn't fully compatible with the latest SDK versions. We needed to work around some limitations and adjust our implementation, which added complexity to the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Feature Flag Management, Needs Better Documentation"
What do you like best about DevCycle?

I appreciate the easy-to-use dashboard provided by DevCycle, which significantly streamlines my workflow when managing feature flags across various teams and services. This intuitive interface supports efficient feature flag creation and setup, with proper targeting, which allows me to navigate tasks swiftly and focus more on my core product work. The quick setup process was impressive, taking only two days to get DevCycle fully operational. This efficiency in setup and ongoing ease of use is vital for maintaining productivity. Additionally, the reliability of feature flag management across different teams is a standout feature that enhances collaborative efforts. These aspects collectively contribute to a high recommendation score of 9 out of 10, indicating my strong satisfaction with DevCycle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevCycle?

I would have appreciated having clear documentation regarding the limitations around Gunicorn processing in Python. This lack of information in the documentation was a drawback, as having this clarity would have been very beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Feature Management with DevCycle"
What do you like best about DevCycle?

I love how easy it is to implement and use DevCycle. The simplicity of changing configurations and the capability for non-engineers to modify values makes managing features on the admin panel a breeze. This ease of use significantly enhances our ability to release new features efficiently on our web app. The platform's ability to facilitate A/B testing and soft feature releases adds immense value to our feature deployment process. Additionally, transitioning to DevCycle from a custom integration proved beneficial as it offers superior functionality. The initial setup was remarkably straightforward, taking only a day, which speaks volumes about its user-friendliness. Overall, my experience with DevCycle is really good, making it a product I highly recommend, reflected by my recommendation score of 10 out of 10. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevCycle?

I encountered a minor bug in the Python implementation of DevCycle. Although it's not a major issue, addressing these bugs could improve the overall experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Versatile Feature Management with Outstanding Support"
What do you like best about DevCycle?

We have used DevCycle for several purposes, such as A/B testing, managing feature flags, and rolling out smaller features before deciding to fully integrate them into our own backend. The team at DevCycle is extremely friendly and always willing to help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevCycle?

DevCycle supports so many features that it can sometimes be hard to find them all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Revolutionary Real-Time Feature Flag Updates with devCycle"
What do you like best about DevCycle?

The devCycle realtime feature flag updation tool is the coolest thing I have seen. You can update the configurations, code and environment in the realtime without even deploying anything and that too with the option to choose the users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevCycle?

Nothing as of now. Initially the UI felt a bit challenging but after few uses it was all goot Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple, Intuitive UI with Easy Integration"
What do you like best about DevCycle?

Simple, intuitive UI, can be an easy integration, decent rest API

Support was incredible shout out Serene, Leslie, John and Kate Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevCycle?

Some weird UI behaviour, such as not being able to unarchive features, caused us a lot of hassle after we assumed we could

Next SDK quite specific and didnt fit our usecase, but making anything for next.js is impossible so not mad about that

React SDK caused a mem leak in our SSR app though so we had to opt for using the REST endpoints Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Cobi Druxerman of DevCycle

Hi there, thank you so much for the feedback. We really appreciate it and so happy to hear you've had a positive experience with the support team.

We actually just released a bunch of improvements to the NextJS SDK. We know there's still a long way to go, as you say Next has it's own issues we all have to work around.

As for Unarchiving, we've heard the feedback and we're hoping to bring that functionality to the platform soon. We just want to make sure it's a positive experience. The challenge of having Features with Variables associated to them causes some interesting issues with changes of state like Archiving and Unarchiving and we really just want to make it easy to manage while protecting our users from mistakes that could cause issues in production.

"Effortless Setup and Intuitive UI"
What do you like best about DevCycle?

Ease of setup, UI is intuitive, targetting is super easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevCycle?

Analytics features are not very good and setting up non-boolean flags sometimes is not very intuive Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Cobi Druxerman of DevCycle

Hi there, thank you so much for the feedback, it's truly appreciated.

We definitely understand that our Analytics features are relatively basic. This is an area we're interested in improving now that we have a solid base of differentiated functionality. If you have any feature requests in the Analytics area you can post them directly to our public roadmap (https://docs.devcycle.com/product-roadmap) or you can email me directly at cobi [at] devcycle.com.

"Easy Experiment Setup, But Rebucketing Issues Need Attention"
What do you like best about DevCycle?

It's very simple to create experiments and feature flags Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevCycle?

We often encounter rebucketing issues when doing things like phased rollouts Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Cobi Druxerman of DevCycle

Hi there, Cobi Head of Product here, I really appreciate you leaving a review. We take great pride in our stability and reliability so I'd love to better understand the issue you're running into with bucketing. We wouldn't expect users to get rebucketed unless you are deleting targeting rules as bucketing is deterministic based on a hash of User ID and Targeting Rule ID (I linked the relevant docs).

If you're open to help in the area you can send me an email directly to cobi [at] devcycle.com
