  ### 8. One of the most preferred and powerful software application for the development of ORM models.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sahin S. | Senior Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Entity Developer?**

The application is a must have for developing ORM models using the .NET entity framework. Its interconnectivity with other related apps likeLinqconnect, customizing ability, and time optimizing capability adds to its uniqueness. Even after making data changes, it can compile immediately.

**What do you dislike about Entity Developer?**

It's a bit complicated in the initial phase, its loading time is way too much and the syntax is difficult to apprehend in short a bit complicated. It is in fact in a developing phase and will hopefully be fixed / improved in the long run.

**Recommendations to others considering Entity Developer:**

It is a good application to try, though still in its early stage a trusted one to do your job.

**What problems is Entity Developer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Used for modeling and code generation to design data access layer. Over time it has helped integrate multiple features and compilation of codes faster which would have otherwise taken a lot of effort and time.

  ### 9. Powerful and flexible tool for entity development

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh H. | CIO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Entity Developer?**

Entity Developer is a tremendous time-saver and is very flexible. Unlike other tools for generating EF code it is possible to setup Entity Developer to do anything from simple model generation to much more complex mapping and transformations. It has replaced several different in-house tools for us.

**What do you dislike about Entity Developer?**

Entity Developer is a capable product and extensive configuration options are available. It can be a little overwhelming at first to find exactly what you need, and while the documentation is well-done it would be helpful to have more samples/examples.

**Recommendations to others considering Entity Developer:**

Spend time with the trial and engage with Devart support. They are very helpful and the product is extremely powerful.

**What problems is Entity Developer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Two major projects drove our adoption of Entity Developer - one was a full re-write of data access code for a legacy application, which was using a mix of direct sql queries with ado.net, linq to sql and Dapper. Entity Developer dramatically sped this process up and allowed us to model everything with EF quickly. The other project was new development on EF Core and we were able to rapidly design and revise the entities for that project.

**Official Response from Jordan Sanders:**

> Thank you so much for your feedback!

**What do you dislike about Entity Developer?**

It would be nice to be able to generate a UI layer with Entity Developer. Maybe a future enhancement..

**Recommendations to others considering Entity Developer:**

A great tool for generating DAL and possibly other layers.

**What problems is Entity Developer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ED takes care of the hard work of generating a Data Access Layer. All of my work is database-first-centric, so it is really easy to select a database and then have ED do all of the hard work.

**Official Response from Jordan Sanders:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Your feedback helps us to improve service for everyone.

  ### 11. Entity Developer takes over from where Microsoft is letting go

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** A T. | ICT Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Entity Developer?**

To design entity models visually, also in .NET 5.

**What do you dislike about Entity Developer?**

Updates require manual downloads, could be more built-in.

**Recommendations to others considering Entity Developer:**

Note that Entity Framework for .NET Core (including .NET 5 and above) does not include a visual designer, nor are there plans to create one. Devart picks up well where Microsoft is letting go. The graphic designs are valuable even without the need to generate code or database structures.

**What problems is Entity Developer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Overview of table relationships, generation of .NET code, and database structures using a visual tool.

**Official Response from Jordan Sanders:**

> We are so grateful for your review.

**Official Response from Jordan Sanders:**

> Thank you so much for your feedback!
