As a technician we would set up the server, than go run around to classrooms and deploy the image all at once. You can add other software packagese that will install with the image. **What do you dislike about DeployStudio?** There is nothign I dislike it, but with the way macOS is going, there really is no need for imaging. They are becoming more and more like ios devices. **What problems is DeployStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?** The big piece is that insteading up wipeing and reinstalling macOS on one device at a time, we can connect a large amount of devices at once through the network and mass image everything. ### 2. Its less user friendly interface makes it difficult to create and deploy system images not allowing us to save time. DeployStudio complicates our Mac deployments. Decreases productivity. **What do you dislike about DeployStudio?** The automated workflows are needed to guarantee an installation process and lacks the ability to simultaneously deploy to machines is a major disadvantage. Being unable to tailor workflows to devices and user needs is obstructive. **What problems is DeployStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?** The user interface could be more intuitive and beginner friendly resulting in a learning curve, for users. tThe infrequency of updates and bug fixes is frustrating as it leaves users waiting for needed improvements. ### 3. This made the platform a viable tool for use in education where budgets are restrictive for more mainstream solutions with high subscription costs. **What do you dislike about DeployStudio?** It requires technical knowledge to manage the hosts and connections. **What problems is DeployStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?** DS moved our school from a legacy system that relied on USB drives to an enterprise tool that allowed imaging at scale. ### 4. My experience is from a Apple Mac background and I used DeployStudio for many years to image suites of Macs in an educational environment. **What do you dislike about DeployStudio?** Updates to the client and server sometimes caused issues and required new image sets creating. The software is free however so I can't gripe too much. **What problems is DeployStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?** The ability to image machines is a huge time saver. Pushing out the base image and then using other software to install extra software works well. DeployStudio allows you to bind machines to domains and also partition multi-platform hard drives as part of a workflow. ### 5. It runs seamlessly and is the easiest way to deploy images to iMacs and MacBook fleets. The ability to also then deploy an application or applications is also another easy-to-use feature. Instead of spending large per device amounts of money, deployStudio is a third-party app that is not expensive. When I first installed it onto an old Xserve, the installation was fast and very user friendly. **What do you dislike about DeployStudio?** I was very annoyed that Apple made it impossible to use DeployStudio on the later version of the Mac OS - this was incredibly annoying when the entire fleet across several locations was running so well with all users ver happy with the end result. If Deploy Studio could be used again with the new er OS's, that would be a dream come true. **Recommendations to others considering DeployStudio:** Ensure that you do your research first regarding which devices it can be used on and which Operating Systems. **What problems is DeployStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?** Time management is better whilst using DeployStudio, the different devices are not only imaged but are also setup in deplaoyStudio with assett numbers which ensures that the company has an accurate database of devices, which ,model, location and more. ### 7. Available guides and tutorials are easily available. **What do you dislike about DeployStudio?** As a freeware, it does not add new features but just making sure it works with the most current macOS. Not a fault, but I wish it could be a paid software so we can get more out of it. **What problems is DeployStudio solving and how is that benefiting you?** The ability to deploy different images for the various region and it can be done quickly with a Mac Mini running in each office. Once it is setup, it runs 99% with no issue. ### 8.
