One of the best options with DbV is the Query Builder. Being able to build queries through this tool helped me to visualize and understand syntax, table joins, and many other features. I was a beginner when I started but now I am not only able to write queries with out the query builder, I also have a better understanding of how to use a db to maximize the data analysis. My company has a diverse set of systems for IT, Finance, Forecasting, and Manufacturing and we use multiple databases from Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, AS/400 DB2, Sparks, etc. DBVisualizer allows me to quickly connect to these databases and do any data manipulation I need to do for my work. I need to do integration work frequently and the first tool I start with has always been DBVisualizer. The best features for me are its easy-to-understand menu system and the diverse output options it supports.
