I have used dbForge as an IDE for Oracle PL/SQL application development. It’s easy SQL formatting, database connection management, and query auto completion help a lot during Oracle PL/SQL development, especially when working with several databases simultaneously. dbForge also provides various output formats such as CSV, Excel, or SQL, which makes it easy to share data with different teams. dbForge provides a convenient GUI to manage database objects like tables, views, procedures, and functions. For database administrators, it offers features such as session monitoring and data export/import. It is very fast compared to the Oracle SQL Developer tool. The licensing cost is higher compared to other similar products. Oracle SQL Developer works better and covers almost all the features available in dbForge, free of cost. I have been using dbForge Studio for Oracle for over a year now. It is a unique tool, easy, versatile and very easy to use. The autocomplete function allows you to write sql and pl/sql code quickly. Furthermore, it is very easy to create and maintain tables and views with the help of the ER graphical interface. Can't think of much that I dislike. But the data comparison feature would be more useful for me if it could focus on comparing just two tables or views instead of always starting by assuming that I will be comparing two whole schemas. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

dbForge is an excellent tool to bind our SQL statements with the help of bind variable executions. It gives us multiple operations that explicitly merges our bitmaps obtained from our indices scanning. Its cache recovery is beneficial for our database instance recovery. All our committed and non-committed changes are updated in our logs which can be retrieved for further analysis. dbForge Studio for Oracle is a super powerful tool that allows you to integrate development environments helping Oracle SQL developers to improve and increase the speed when coding in PL / SQL, it provides us with editing tools to manage data, both internal as external. It gives us the option of keeping the data synchronized between different Oracle servers and with this we manage to automate the change management process of the application schemas, while the development lasts. Improve connection manager. Visually confusions can be generated due to the location of some of the options, mainly when you configure the TNS. It would be very useful if in all the screens you can see the number of lines or total registers of the program; sometimes this number can be seen in a tab, where the table definition is, but it is not always visible. As a MSSQL developer, I have become accustomed to how SMS works. I have used dbForge for MySQL for years which mimics that UI. I am not cure if this is dbForge issue or Oracle because of my limited knowledge of Oracle, but When I try to stop an executing stored procedure, it take a long time and I end up having to kill the session. As the cloud becomes more popular, I would also like to see options that support cloud databases.
