dbForge Compare Bundle for SQL Server Reviews & Product Details

The tool is easy to use, and comparing and synchronizing databases is really simple with it. We use it regularly for database comparison. We are very satisfied with the support as well Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There's nothing in particular that I dislike. Perhaps the only thing is that if there are a lot of differences between the databases and the report is saved in HTML, opening the large report can take quite some time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

dbForge Comparer includes everything you can do with the same tool you can find in Visual Studio or in VSCode, but it's much more faster and much more versatile.

I like:

- the clear and user friendly UI

- the filters to create a set of objects to be deployed

- scripts folder sinchronization

- tasks automation

- choose to use as a SSMS plugin or as stand alone application

- source control integration Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

so far, nothing really to dislike, just an improvemen :

This tools is the simple, straight forward, easy to use. You can compare scheme or data with default setting in 3 steps or if you want more detail, you can set the advanced setting. The comparison process is fast, just in seconds you will get the result which data or scheme is different.

You can save your own setting to compare instead of using default setting from devart, just load it and click finish to compare.

After the comparison process finish, it will show the different table scheme or number of different data from source server to target server, you can choose which table or data you want to change.

Once the process finished, you will get result including failed or success process

I wish next version compare bundle have rollback and commit function, so when we update on production server and mess with the update we still rollback the changes Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Some case, when the different data is huge (more than 10k different data), process sometimes stop, not responding, but process still run until finish Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use dbForge Compare Bundle because synchronizing production schemas with development schemas and the application's ORM is our routine. The tool helps automate the process. It can be called from the command line, which means it easily integrates into the CI pipeline.
