## About Daytona
Daytona is a secure and elastic infrastructure platform designed to execute AI-generated code efficiently. It provides developers and AI agents with isolated, scalable environments—referred to as sandboxes—that can be spun up in milliseconds and terminated just as swiftly. This rapid provisioning allows users to run code on-demand, ensuring optimal resource utilization and enhanced security. Key Features and Functionality: - Instant Sandboxes: Create and destroy isolated environments in under 90 milliseconds, facilitating rapid testing and deployment. - Secure Execution: Each sandbox operates in complete isolation, preventing unauthorized access and ensuring the safe execution of AI-generated code. - Programmatic Control: Comprehensive APIs allow for seamless management of processes, file systems, Git operations, and language server protocols within sandboxes. - Massive Parallelization: Supports concurrent AI workflows by enabling the execution of code in multiple isolated environments simultaneously. - Declarative Image Builder: Utilize Docker-based image templates without modifications, simplifying the setup and deployment process. Primary Value and Problem Solved: Daytona addresses the challenges associated with running AI-generated code by offering a secure, scalable, and efficient runtime environment. Traditional infrastructures often lack the flexibility and security required for AI workloads, leading to resource inefficiencies and potential security vulnerabilities. By providing instant, isolated sandboxes with programmatic control, Daytona empowers developers and AI systems to focus on innovation without the overhead of managing complex infrastructure. This solution ensures that AI-generated code can be executed safely and efficiently, accelerating development cycles and enhancing overall productivity.

**What do you like best about Daytona?**

What I like most about Daytona is how easily it provides isolated, secure, and reproducible sandbox environments for AI agents. It allows agents to execute code, install dependencies, run development workflows, and perform tasks without affecting the host system. The fast sandbox provisioning, reliability, and developer-friendly APIs make it an excellent platform for building agentic applications.

**What do you dislike about Daytona?**

My main concerns are occasional sandbox startup delays, browser security warnings on proxy URLs, and limited debugging visibility. Better observability, custom domain support, and more comprehensive troubleshooting documentation would significantly improve the developer experience.

**What problems is Daytona solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Daytona eliminates the complexity of managing isolated execution environments for AI agents. It enables us to provision secure sandboxes on demand, allowing agents to execute code, install dependencies, run tests, and build applications safely. This reduces infrastructure management, improves reliability, and speeds up our development workflow.

**What do you like best about Daytona?**

For me, the biggest advantage is the speed; since it allows for the creation of separate environments for AI-generated code, testing various tasks becomes much easier without the worry of impacting the main development environment.
I also appreciate the developer-centric approach and the ability to manage environments through programming. It feels as though the platform was specifically designed with the future trajectory of AI development in mind.

**What do you dislike about Daytona?**

Daytona is evolving rapidly, so some aspects of the platform are still emerging. Furthermore, if one is new to AI sandbox infrastructure, mastering it requires some experimentation. As the platform matures, I would like to see more integration examples and detailed documentation for advanced use cases.

**What problems is Daytona solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It offers a solution for creating AI environments. Instead of granting AI agents unrestricted control over the development environment, Daytona provides an isolated runtime system where specific tasks are executed. This is particularly useful for AI agents, automated coding workflows, and testing and evaluation processes. By streamlining infrastructure and reducing overhead, it allows developers to focus more on the core application.

  ### 3. The efficiency booster with ultra fast speed

**What do you like best about Daytona?**

This software provides me with a stress free and comfortable workspace that helped me a lot in increasing my efficiency towards my tasks. It has a boot speed upto 90 milliseconds that is too good as a user to get, and even the persistent workspace that allows us to work at ease without any stress of losing or managing data on our own.

**What do you dislike about Daytona?**

I have to learn a language dedicated to this software as it has just a limited language access, and even have restrictions over some core features due to some liesence issues

**What problems is Daytona solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped me and my team in managing our workspaces with ease and even allow us to do the work faster as it provides a ultra fast boot speed and also reduces the stress of security and persistency over work

**What do you like best about Daytona?**

Daytona is particularly strong as an execution layer for AI agents because it provides isolated, stateful environments that can be created extremely quickly. The sub-90ms sandbox startup makes a noticeable difference when an agent needs to create environments repeatedly or run multiple tasks in parallel. I also like the programmatic control through the SDK, API, and CLI, since it makes the infrastructure easier to incorporate into an existing AI workflow. The combination of isolation, persistence, parallel execution, and fast provisioning makes Daytona especially useful for coding agents and workflows that need to execute AI-generated code safely.

**What do you dislike about Daytona?**

Daytona is clearly optimized for developers building AI infrastructure and agent workflows, so the platform can feel more technical than a conventional cloud development environment. Getting the most out of sandboxes requires understanding concepts such as resource allocation, container or VM environments, SDK-based automation, and agent runtimes. I would like to see more guided workflows for common AI-agent scenarios and additional high-level observability around resource consumption and execution costs. Those improvements would make the platform easier to evaluate and adopt for teams that want the benefits of agent infrastructure without having to design the surrounding architecture themselves.

**What problems is Daytona solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Daytona solves the problem of giving AI agents a safe and reliable environment in which they can actually execute code instead of only generating it. Isolated sandboxes provide the agent with its own filesystem, processes, network environment, and compute resources, while state persistence allows work to continue across multiple interactions. This is particularly valuable for coding agents, evaluations, and data-analysis workflows where generated code needs to be executed repeatedly and potentially in parallel. The fast provisioning also reduces infrastructure waiting time, allowing AI workflows to iterate much faster while keeping generated code separated from the underlying system.

  ### 5. Easy, Safe AI Code Environments—Though Initial Setup Takes Time

I like Daytona because it makes it easy to create an environment and run AI-generated code safely. The setup is flexible and simple, which makes it straightforward to get started and keep things organized. Satisfied

**What do you dislike about Daytona?**

The initial setup can take some time, and understanding all the configuration options can feel a bit overwhelming at first.

**What problems is Daytona solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Daytona helps me quickly create and manage isolated environments for coding and testing. It saves me time and makes my AI development workflow easier to manage overall.

It has a clean UI/UX, excellent integrations, strong performance, and AI-friendly workflows that speed up development. It also offers good pricing/ROI by reducing setup time, while the onboarding process is straightforward and easy to adopt.

**What do you dislike about Daytona?**

is that some advanced features require a learning curve, and I'd like to see more native integrations and customization options. Pricing may also be a consideration for smaller teams, and the documentation could include more real-world examples for faster onboarding.

**What problems is Daytona solving and how is that benefiting you?**

simplifies setting up secure development environments, making it faster to test AI workflows, integrations, and automation without worrying about configuration. It saves time, improves productivity, and lets me focus on delivering results instead of managing infrastructure.
