I did not like their interface or data structure. There are much cheaper options. I dont like when they email you and raise the prices either even though they lock you into long term contracts. Does not make sense. **What do you dislike about DataTree Online?** Everything. This company is borderline scamming people. They lock you up in long contracts with no way to cancel, and on top of that, they provide terrible service and awful customer service. There are so many better companies out there—try PropStream, BatchData, or LandPortal. Trust me, go with anyone but these guys. **What problems is DataTree Online solving and how is that benefiting you?** DataTree isn't solving any problems; it's creating them. It has provided zero benefit to me. The only thing this service has done is lock me into a long-term contract for a terrible product. I do not recommend it. It trys to solve the problem of providing data to people for more money than any other data company. It does lots of marketing and partnerships to trick new people into signing up for long term contracts. ### 2. I found it very expensive from day 1, but I went with it for a while anyways. I then left the account, thinking that it would be cancelled for non-payment, and then when I came back 10 months later to reactivate the account, they want me to pay over $400 just to get it reactivated, for the months when the account was INACTIVE and I wasn't even using their service! Apparently this is in fine print in their EULA, and maybe it's my fault for not reading their entire EULA (*rolls eyes*) but I have never had this issue with other software. You can't just cancel when you want without paying cancellation fees or hefty reactivation fees and I do NOT like that. Now I am on the hunt for a replacement product, too bad you lost a customer Data Tree, and I used to refer you to other land developers but I will be doing the opposite now! **What problems is DataTree Online solving and how is that benefiting you?** They are helping me to target very specific land data which helps with my land development business. ### 4. I'm sure that Data Tree is a helpful tool but the learning curve is pretty big and the costs are way to expensive as compared to other options. **What do you dislike about DataTree Online?** Very expensive for what you get. Only sold on a 1-year commitment. You can't ever reach your so-called" account manager" They make it impossible to cancel. You have to call on the day your account is set to renew. Can't do it beforehand. Then they hammer you with sales techniques trying to get you to change your mind. I'd rather deal with a used car salesperson. **What problems is DataTree Online solving and how is that benefiting you?** Data Tree is not solving any online problems that I can't solve with other, more affordable, user-friendly options. If it was so good they wouldn't have to trap you into a one year commitment. ### 5. Bad solution for land developer **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Mark L. | Land Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2019 **What do you like best about DataTree Online?** Data extracts include only one useful info for a developer - Land Improvement % , so I don't have to spend time calculating it myself. **What do you dislike about DataTree Online?** Lacks crucial info for any developer - land Zoning Code as defined by a particular jurisdiction. Instead, datatree shows unrelated code. Unfortunately, consultant I was assigned to failed to explain me the meaning of thereof. Instead, he tried to persuade me to use their software saying that "land surveyors never complained." Eventually he gave up trying and told me to use data extract software I'm already using. **Recommendations to others considering DataTree Online:** Based on what I've seen, should be fine for brokers. Can't comment much price though, I didn't go any further than the trial. But I was told that in addition to monthly fee, each extract has additional cost, which is rather weird. **What problems is DataTree Online solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was told that their data base is being updated every 24 hrs. If that's true and if the data extract would include the needed info, I would probably decrease the rate of fail-to-deliver letters. ### 8. It's difficult to always find the properties based on just the address (usually we need an APN number). In addition, it's tough to search by owners because most LLCs have not been pierced yet. **Recommendations to others considering DataTree Online:** Strong product to use to find recorded documents, but ease of use could be improved still. **What problems is DataTree Online solving and how is that benefiting you?** It allows us to find documents on certain properties to see which title companies and law firms have historically worked on certain transactions ### 9.
