Don't look at day 1 as your success criteria, formulate a plan, work the plan and drive towards maturity in a well structured effort involving collaboration and coordination. Do the basics well and the richer results will come to fruition. **What problems is Data Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** Product lifecycle oriented issues, capacity planning use cases, validation of other platforms, solving process related issues through governance mismanagement such as imaging desktops improperly. For larger ecosystems, the tool provides a key role in defining an all round source of truth and enrichment which reduces this risk and burden from executing data normalization in a distributed manner. ### 3. It's very nice device to use. Comprehension is very simple and preloaded reports are a great idea. Even having several reports already preloaded makes it easy for the consumer to find what they are searching for. **What do you dislike about Data Platform?** There is no large amount of documentation available for the tool. Especially when troubleshooting is needed. Wish there was enough time in the day to go into all the data platform insights can bring, also the mapping is not 100% of succesful. **Recommendations to others considering Data Platform:** You should ensure that you have a well educated staff to support DP **What problems is Data Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** Constant market shifts in particular with product acquisitions and types of software licences. Discover what tech is for support with product currency in our world. The currency element however has to be performed manually by combining data from Flexera Data Platform with data from Technopedia. ### 4. It saves us hours of research on the technology lifecycle and health information that influences reporting. The taxonomy attached to Technopedia is robust enough to allow users to sift through the catalog with ease. **What do you dislike about Data Platform?** The time it takes to get gap-fill requests completed and then visible is a little lengthy. There also aren't very many of our industry-specific technologies/apps listed (i.e. AASHTOWare). If there were a way to incorporate these in the global service offering for this industry it would save users the trouble of traversings the tech vendors' sites and manually massaging that data to fit in our catalogs. **Recommendations to others considering Data Platform:** Ensure you have dedicated staff to support DP. **What problems is Data Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** We utilized DP to establish a remediation cadence for our technology stack. the data provided helps us better prioritize and ensures that security concerns are also taken into account. The timely refreshes ensure that we have a more relevant picture to show management. We are currently working to work in the security service pack to report on vulnerabilities that lie across the enterprise. ### 5. Reports are easy to generate on the fly and we now keep a running dashboards on EOL software and hardware adding a level of visibility which has helped to prioritize remediation. ### 6. Specially if you need to troubleshoot. Find the AD configuration and FNMS on Premise was a real challenge **Recommendations to others considering Data Platform:** Great tool and very friendly use... **What problems is Data Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** FNMS Data Source it's only supported on premise.. It's been a challenge to implement the .zip file as normalized for a customer ### 8.
