I like that it is a low cost alternative to Loom. I also like the responsive customer service and feedback. It is easy to use without having to go through tons of instructions. It integrates seamlessly with YouTube. Dandan processes the videos at lightning speed. There are other features that include AI that I have not delved into yet. I use Dadan regularly to record instructional and employee training videos and share them with people. It makes it easier to walk someone through a process with a visual illustration and to share the same message with many customers. I find the platform well thought out, and the interface is simple and straightforward. I can quickly record a video, pull out a section to highlight, and use the transcription feature to put the spoken message on screen. The Chrome extension and desktop app are convenient for my day-to-day use, and the desktop app works flawlessly. I can also share or embed videos in emails and websites. I really value the analytics that show whether people opened a video and how much they watched, because they help me know whether the message was delivered. The owners respond quickly when I need troubleshooting. Setup was nearly flawless and tied in easily with my Google account. Dadan is affordable, and the lifetime deal I got was advantageous. I love how Dadan's recording ability is very smooth and user-friendly, similar to Vidyard and Loom. I use Dadan for taking a bunch of screenshots, and the Guides feature is definitely my favorite. It's incredibly useful and innovative. I love how it lets me record something and turns it into a guide. It feels like the possibilities are pretty endless, making me wonder how I managed without it before. Additionally, it saves me so much storage and makes it easy to screen record my workflows and keep them all in one place. There are some features that competitor software does a better job (custom hot keys for example) - but Dadan does listen to users to continue improving their product. I like the fact that Dadan offers a browser extension, making it just one click away to share or preview a recording. I find the AI tools built into the platform very impactful and valuable. Being able to get a transcription of calls, do simple editing, and switch out the thumbnail is quite useful. I also appreciate the flexibility Dadan provides, as you can add calls to action, upload resources and attachments, along with the video, which adds another layer of engagement. I love how everything is organized. It's extremely intuitive. I love the fact that they go beyond what other traditional competitors like Loom and Komodo offer. It's a software company undergoing rapid development. I don't dislike the fact that when they launch new features they're a little buggy. It's part of the process. Sometimes litttle things can hold you up, but when you mention them to the CS team, they jump right in and make it a priority to fix anything that may not be firing on all cylinders. I use Dadan for video recording, screen recording, and client meetings on Google Meet. The most amazing thing is that when I have meetings with clients, I just paste the meeting link in Dadan, and it records the meeting, creates transcripts, notes, and an action plan, so I'm not worried about missing any minutes. There are also a lot of amazing features like editing video with transcripts, clipping videos, and adding text—it's a fully advanced video editor with lots of features. I also appreciate the feature that lets me instantly see when someone watches my video, and I can gather leads data through in-video forms. Initially, I used Loom, but it had a 5-minute limit and fewer options like a quiz maker and lead generation form, so I switched to Dadan. The setup with Dadan was easy—I just log in and start recording from my browser. If I need advanced recording features, I can install the Chrome extension or download their apps for Windows and Mac. I can also request videos from others by creating a link, and they can record immediately without installing anything. I'm happy with the services and support from Dadan. The features they offered are working very smoothly; the only issue I feel can be improved is the video recording upload feature. Dadan uploads the video when you finish recording; I wish it worked like Loom, where when I finish recording I get the recording link immediately, and the upload process should be in the background while recording. I use Dadan to record tutorials for customers and to capture bugs for developers in WordPress plugins. I like that Dadan makes it easy to record, share, and organize screen recordings. I also appreciate being able to create libraries where I can add clients, allowing them to see all their recordings. Every client has their own folder structure that fits their business, and I can record a video and put it into the relevant folder. This helps clients know internally whenever I record a new video. After a recording has been made, there is no direct way of adding that video to a folder. It's by default stored in the personal library. I have to navigate to that folder, then click 3 dots and move the video to a folder. Shouldn't have to be that way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
