"Easy to Learn, Professional Results in Minutes"
5/5
What do you like best about D5 Render?

It’s amazing that I only watched a 10-minute video about the software and was able to use it immediately. It’s so easy to use and still delivers a professional result. I was able to show the client amazing, realistic photos of his house. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about D5 Render?

I’d like the free assets selection to be larger, but of course, to get the best options in every area you have to pay. Overall, I don’t really think there are any negative things to say about this software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Game-Changer for Architecture Students with Stunning Realism"
5/5
What do you like best about D5 Render?

As an architecture student and part-time worker, I find D5 Render to be incredibly useful. It makes my models and renders look realistic and produces highly realistic results in real time. I love how I can quickly experiment with lighting, materials, and atmosphere, which is a huge advantage for me. Its free version is also very important to me because it allows me to create high-quality renders without extra cost, which is perfect for my budget as a student. The real-time rendering engine and live sync with modeling software like SketchUp and Revit save me a lot of time during project deadlines. I really appreciate the built-in asset library, especially the vegetation, people, and ready-made materials, as they help me create more realistic and lively scenes. The lighting system, including HDRI and artificial lights, is beneficial for presenting atmosphere and mood, making it easy to achieve cinematic and professional-looking visuals quickly. Additionally, the switch from Lumion to D5 Render was a good move because D5 feels more intuitive and provides more realistic results in real time. It also runs more efficiently on my available hardware and feels faster and more flexible, especially during last-minute design changes. The initial setup was quite easy, with a straightforward installation process and an intuitive interface. The real-time preview helped me understand the lighting and material system quickly, making the learning curve smooth compared to other rendering programs. Overall, I'd rate it 100 out of 10 for its effectiveness and ease of use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about D5 Render?

One area that could be improved is material customization. While the presets are good, sometimes I need more advanced control for detailed architectural materials, especially for studio-level presentations. The asset library is useful, but expanding the variety of high-quality, region-specific assets (like local architectural elements) would make it even stronger. Also, performance optimization on lower-end laptops could be better. As a student, not everyone has a high-spec computer, so smoother performance on mid-range devices would really enhance the experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about D5 Render?

I use D5 Render for rendering both interiors and exteriors, and it's very easy to use. The materials are very realistic, which I like, and the objects in it are easy to work with. It's helpful for my work. I have used various materials like wooden laminates, glass, leather, fabric, and cloth. They all appear very popular in terms of quality and realism. Working with live sync is very easy, which is helpful for renders, as it allows me to get them done in a very good manner and quality. The initial setup was also very easy as I just went to the site, downloaded it, and found the tutorials they provided very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Rendering with a Robust Asset Library"
4/5
What do you like best about D5 Render?

I really like D5 Render's asset library. It's very good and gives me thousands of options to iterate on my renders. I also find that D5 Render makes conceptualization and rendering a lot easier by solving the lack of ideas and creative blocks, allowing for fast iteration of ideas. Additionally, compared to Dialux evo, D5 Render is just better for rendering visualization. The initial setup was very easy too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about D5 Render?

Maybe the controls and lighting could be more physically based. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"D5 Render Review: Fast, Intuitive, and Stunning Real-Time Rendering"
5/5
What do you like best about D5 Render?

D5 Render is an impressive real-time rendering tool known for its ease of use and high-quality visual output. Customer support is responsive and backed by an active community. Security is standard with no major concerns. It offers great value for money—its free version is strong, and the Pro version adds a premium asset library and advanced features.

Although it doesn’t handle 3D modeling itself, it imports models smoothly from tools like SketchUp, Blender, and Rhino. Some bugs still occur, especially with large scenes, and it demands a powerful GPU for smooth performance. Its biggest strength is lighting design: real-time global illumination, HDRI environments, and intuitive controls make it easy to achieve realistic lighting even for beginners.

Overall, D5 Render is user-friendly, visually impressive, and cost-effective for architectural and design visualization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about D5 Render?

D5 Render is powerful but has some drawbacks. It requires a strong GPU, and large or complex scenes can cause lag or crashes. It doesn’t include 3D modeling tools, so all models must be created elsewhere. The free asset library is limited, animations are basic, and beginners may need time to master lighting and materials. "A Powerful Tool for Realistic Landscape Visualization"
5/5
What do you like best about D5 Render?

What I like best about D5 Render is how intuitive and fast it is to create realistic visualizations. The real time rendering helps me instantly see how lighting, materials, and vegetation interact within my landscape designs. I also appreciate how smooth it runs even with detailed site models, which really helps during tight studio deadlines. Overall, it makes the process of turning design ideas into lifelike visuals both efficient and enjoyable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about D5 Render?

Overall, I really enjoy using D5 Render, but sometimes it can be quite demanding on hardware when working with large landscape models that include a lot of vegetation. It would be great if there were more optimized assets for outdoor environments and lighter settings for smoother performance on student laptops. Still, these challenges have also helped me learn how to manage models more efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
