## Cypress Reviews
  ### 1. One of the best testing tool for engineers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vikram K. | Senior manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Cypress?**

Cypress doesn't use Selenium and hence doesn't have the same problem which we face with Selenium-based tools. It's a very powerful tool and runs faster than others. It can be used for almost all languages and is very reliable.

**What do you dislike about Cypress?**

I haven't observed many dislikes in Cypress. A few of them are it's reliable with Javascript mostly. Also, with Cypress we don't get multi-tab support which is very disappointing

**Recommendations to others considering Cypress:**

I'll highly recommend Cypress to everyone.

**What problems is Cypress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My team is using this for testing purposes as an end-to-end testing tool. With Cypress, we get multiple tools in one place and we don't need to search for different tools here and there and hence resulting in a great experience with less hassle.

  ### 2. Has made a Mark in Web Application World

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2021

**Describe the project or task Cypress helped with:**

Made POC for a Telecom Client using SAAS .Made QA life so better .
Best Feature - Debuggability. I believe Testing is 40% development and 60 % is debugging.

**What do you like best about Cypress?**

If Scope is Web application -Cypress is the right tool has made the mark here. Its here to stay for long run.
Made for Web application and API testing

**What do you dislike about Cypress?**

Our scope was also mobile testing on Andriod and Ios. We didn't opt for it as Mobile testing is allowed only on web brower and not on native app.Cypress doesn’t support mobile testing so you will need another testing solution if you have this requirement. Need to build another application conjecture to cypress for web and mobile tests can be leverage together.

**What problems is Cypress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's much Faster and best tool till date for debugging and troubleshooting.
Every enterprise solution using SAAS , clients want web and mobile experience.

  ### 3. Good test tool for end to end automation testing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2021

**Describe the project or task Cypress helped with:**

I've been using Cypress as our automation tool for more than two years. It's JavaScript based automation framework.

It's easy to learn and implement than Selenium webdriver or TestComplete that I used in the past.
It supports CI/CD tools like Github and Github Actions as well. I've used it to automate UI and API test scenarios for web based products.

It supports parallelization as well but can be used only with paid version of Cypress Dashboard.
Dashboard helps know automation reports and analysis based on passed/failed test cases.
Developers are also able to understand and use the automation code since it's written in JS.

Overall, it's a good automation test tool and is constantly updated with new features like multi-browser support and test retries.

**What do you like best about Cypress?**

It's end to end automation tool and JS based.
It's easy to learn and implement than Selenium webdriver or TestComplete.
It supports CI/CD tools like Github and Github Actions as well.
It supports parallelization and has multi-browser support and test retries.

**What do you dislike about Cypress?**

Cypress dashboard is paid and is bit pricey.

**What problems is Cypress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm using Cypress for automating UI, API and DB test cases of web products.

It's easy to learn and implement.

  ### 4. Cypress is THE tool to use for test automation!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2021

**Describe the project or task Cypress helped with:**

We sorely needed automation testing for our site, and the team was tired of the frustration of the typical flakey selenium tests. Fortunately, I was given the freedom to evaluate some new tools, during which I was fortunate enough to find Cypress. Fortunately, Cypress does not have the same issues and problems that Selenium has, and it is an absolute breath of fresh air. Not only do we now have tests that run in a fraction of the amount of time that the old Selenium tests run in, and they don't have

**What do you like best about Cypress?**

Everything about cypress is amazing, from the built-in debugger to the entire framework not utilizing selenium; it's all awesome! It's a complete game-changer for automation!

**What do you dislike about Cypress?**

Support for mobile not available. But that's about it.

**Recommendations to others considering Cypress:**

Don't delay; just bite the bullet and switch from Selenium to Cypress. You won't regret it!

**What problems is Cypress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Functional and business logic automation are what we are solving with Cypress. We have found that we no longer have flakey tests like we did with selenium, and our test results are far more reliable and reporducable.

  ### 5. Best e2e and unit testing framework

In Front-end development, we follow a component-based development workflow, for which unit testing and e2e testing are critical. My lead recommended Cypressfter extensive research, we felt cypress would fit our needs best.

**What do you like best about Cypress?**

Its ease of element lookup, commands, functions, and smooth visual illustrations.

**What do you dislike about Cypress?**

Unit testing is not as advanced as other frameworks like Jest, and a11y testing has limited support. Setting up Cypress pipeline workflow has some issues as well.

**What problems is Cypress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cypress helps avoid bottlenecks, critical production failures and assists in quickly understanding the issue and where to locate it.

Sometimes the behavior doesn't work in different browsers.

Its large support within the web, many people keep sharing their ideas

**What do you dislike about Cypress?**

Unlike selenium, its interaction with any element within the window is done via JS and it only manipulates the DOM, there is no way to detect once a change is ready in the window but by using timeouts.
