We use Cylindo to showcase all of the furniture on our e-commerce webstite. We have thousands of products in the Cylindo platform and would really like to have self-service capabilities to manage the product attributes within the admin of the platform rather than submitting tickets to Cylindo to make changes or updates to data and attributes. They are always willing to work with you to get the product exactly how you'd like it. They will allow as many iterations as it takes to get everything right and up to your standards. The Team is very friendly and great to work with. The Platform is very User-Friendly and Intuitive. It took me only a couple of days to get comfortable using it. Moving our imagery to 3D models and digital room scenes was daunting but our experience with Cylindo has been a positive one. The Cylindo Teams worked closely with us as we navigated this new landscape – with constant training and guidance along the way! Cylindo Studio has been especially valuable to us, as we can now pivot with more customization and agility, increasing our speed to market and providing our customers with an enhanced visual experience. When we first onboarded, we were not prepared for the change in how we communicate with 3D designers vs. standard photography. It creates a realistic, high-quality model of the furniture. The models render materials to show true colors and textures. Our customers can then see the furniture model from all sides, in AR in their space and also in a 3D space planner. We have used it along side our in-house photography with tremendous results. The project management, production and support teams are top-notch. They are responsive, helpful, and supportive. They work hard in a cooperative manner to complete projects on time. So, the fact that I can use it on my phone which is a smaller device, knowing that I will have all the features I need to use, is amazing. Customers can visualize the products in 360 degrees. A rich immersive experience to view the product in all directions. Working with Cylindo allows our company to reduce studio-shot product photography backlog as well as create a more engaging experience for our retailers and end consumers online. It's impossible to photograph our product with all covers and configurations and Cylindo allows us to showcase in a photo-realistic way what a product could look like before it's ever produced. This helps immensely in the decision making process. In addition, there are so many additional use cases for the Cylindo-produced 3D models - from AR to lifestyle photography, silo photography, spec sheets, ads, etc etc. A highly valuable product overall! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Cylindo? When you have a highly configurable product, the licensing model is somewhat cost-prohibitive. When you plan or prioritize for this type of investment, and use a 80/20 approach, anything is possible. Also the speed at which models are produced could be improved but this is always being worked on and tweaked. Finally, if we want to use our models in videos or other scenarios, the files we are able to download are not final. Covers and finishes need to be reapplied as Cylindo will not provide final MAX files. This is usually fine when looking to create a single lifestyle image, but when looking to create an animated video for example showing the breath of a product line, this process becomes much more complex and expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Cylindo: Do your research and first determine exactly what your needs are. Don't be afraid to ask questions. There's a lot of industry lingo that you will need to learn. Do you want photorealistic pre-configured models, or lower quality models that are configured and rendered on the fly? Both are valuable depending on your exact need. There are many companies with similar product offerings but if you're looking for highly photo-realistic, high poly-count 3D models, definitely consider Cylindo. Realism was our #1 priority and that's why in the end we partnered with Cylindo and are true partners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Cylindo solving and how is that benefiting you? Our goal is to have end-consumers enter a partner retailer and ask for our brand by name. The Cylindo models and 360 viewer have gotten us closer to that goal. The ability to help the customer visualize the product in their chosen configuration with their chosen options is invaluable. Also, as noted above, when a retailer asks for a product photographed in a particular configuration or cover, we don't have to manufacture it and send it to photography. If we have the product 3D-modelled, we simply download the files we need from the Cylindo CMS. This is a huge time and cost saver. Finally. we have reduced our studio costs when creating lifestyle images. CGI lifestyle images generated using the models are way less expensive and faster to achieve compared to planning an executing an in-studio or on-location photo shoot. One of pros is the quality and efficiency of the 360 degree viewer is amazing. Adding the fabric effect on top of that is a definite plus. With that said I believe that the team at Cylindo is a proven entity with technology that helps with both customer service and sales. They are also easy to work with and the level of execution is worth the invesment.
