I can save the server locations and local computer locations in the site manager. I can import connection settings I established in other computers. I don't have to pay a giant amount of money to use CuteFTP continuously throughout the year. **What do you dislike about CuteFTP?** Many extensive features make CuteFTP stand out significantly from similar FTP clients. **Recommendations to others considering CuteFTP:** There are many file transfer applications available today, so be sure to check out as many as you can. **What problems is CuteFTP solving and how is that benefiting you?** CuteFTP is a central part of my file management workflow. I can load it up quickly on different computers and access files on both my local computer and the remote servers. I can keep track of transfers as they are occurring and cancel them, if necessary. I can make vast updates to files within one transfer session. Though some transfers don't go through, a vast majority of transfers do. I don't have to sit there and wait to ensure the transfer goes through completely. ### 2. The transfer is smooth and I have had no issues with the program itself. No pizzaz to the program. pretty bland in terms of visuals. But is that really what your looking for? it works as is if you need both bells and whistles maybe look somewhere else. **Recommendations to others considering CuteFTP:** Aside from no major updates, the tool is useful and keeps the wheels moving. The tool is easy enough to use and learn how to use. **What problems is CuteFTP solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have a large vendor we use to Weekly Transfer files and communicate key information in regards to inventory . With out CuteFTP we would not be able to maintain a fluid exchange of information and continue with the vendor. ### 3. This is it. it does that. We don't need it for anything else. It sends the file and we like that. it does it every time we ask it to. the file always ends up where it's supposed to. After the initial login, it opens and runs by itself. Drop the files wait for the transfer and Boom you are done. **What do you dislike about CuteFTP?** CuteFTP is very minimalistic. there is a simple GUI and the commands for the program do not go too deep. if you need a fancy setup and tap dancing icons maybe find another program. **What problems is CuteFTP solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have to load our Inventory Manually and CuteFTP facilitates that for this eCommerce Channel. I large vendor who needs constant inventory feeds requires it. We aren't big enough for an automatic feed yet so we went with this program ### 5. In runs like window file explorer used to and thats why its so painless to use. **What do you dislike about CuteFTP?** Some say that not having a turbo-charged stat of the art User interface might be a setback.....I'm not one of that people. We do use an older version and i do have to reconfigure the logins ever so often. **What problems is CuteFTP solving and how is that benefiting you?** CuteFTP is helping us with inventory interaction with one of our largest eCommerce platforms. We might soon walk away because of automation but for now, it does the job easy peasy lemon squeezy. ### 6. I don't even know what other kinds of bells and whistles they can add to make this any better. It is simple and efficient once you get the passwords entered. This automation is now part of the vendor portal but it saves me a few clicks so I still use it. ### 7. I can connect to all of the servers and hosting accounts we have. I'm able to set up saved connections to servers for fast future transfer sessions. I can manage files in a clean and organized file manager in both the local and remote folder. **What do you dislike about CuteFTP?** The pricing isn't that high, but there are several good quality open source FTP software out there than can compete with CuteFTP. **Recommendations to others considering CuteFTP:** You should limit the amount of concurrent transfers whenever possible to help optimize your overall transfer efficiency. **What problems is CuteFTP solving and how is that benefiting you?** Connecting to a server is much more simple with CuteFTP. I don't have to always enter my FTP connection information. I can save the connection information and activate it all with just a click. I am able to update content on web servers. I don't have to wait for each file to transfer before starting a new transfer. We get good speeds with concurrent transfers. ### 13. The file transfer times are usually good when I have a decent internet connection. **What do you dislike about CuteFTP?** CuteFTP works well and gets the job done. It's not open source though, so I guess it would be better as an open source app. **Recommendations to others considering CuteFTP:** Try to keep your connections as secure as possible and configure whatever secure settings are available with your web server. **What problems is CuteFTP solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm able to transfer files using a simple file management interface. I use other paid software, but Cute FTP has other equally valid competitors and all are completely free. **Recommendations to others considering CuteFTP:** The software is paid, and there are also valid free ones available on the market, see FileZilla. **What problems is CuteFTP solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Cute FTP precisely to connect to internal servers and some clients' servers, and thus to read, manage, and modify files and folders contained in these servers.
