I also like that they have a free trial version of the app. **What do you dislike about Crypho?** Ideally you would want to set up a SFTP when sending data in the corporate world. Crypho is good for one off situations but I wouldn't use it on an ongoing basis. Also the cost is a bit expensive starting at $50/month. **What problems is Crypho solving and how is that benefiting you?** Sending a file or data securely with end to end encryption when an SFTP or no other secure method is available. It's fast and easy to use to ensure that you are not violating any data privacy laws or regulations. ### 8. It's end to end encryption and stringent privacy and security measures are quite superior to most of it's competition in this space. The 256-bit encryption and hassle free group conversations has significantly increased the productivity of my team especially in these changed times where remote working and communications are the new normal. **What do you dislike about Crypho?** The maximum file size of 3MB for free accounts is somewhat of a hassle as it limits productivity . However, it's paid plans provide significant upsides and make up for most of the hassles faced during registration (takes longer than usual) and limitations of the free accounts. The app originates in the EU and hence it's customer support schedule is according to that. **Recommendations to others considering Crypho:** In these remote working conditions and also otherwise, crypho is a good choice . **What problems is Crypho solving and how is that benefiting you?** With Crypho, project level and team level communications have become more secure and seamless at the same time. With most of my team members working from remote locations and handling privileged client data, secure, end to end encrypted conversations have helped us a lot in avoiding the hassles of going through VPNs and multiple firewall measures for secure transmission of data. ### 9. All of the content we send is encrypted so that even the software team is unable to decrypt it. We can only decrypt them if we have the decryption key exclusively. We can decrypt messages only when they reach the right recipient. I like this instant messaging service and file transfer tool because it is comparable to Yammer or HipChat, but it provides persistent dialogues, collaborative document editing and file sharing tools. These travel encrypted since they leave your web browser and that is the big difference with other tools. It is impossible to decrypt this data if you do not have the decryption key. When configuring the keys, it is necessary that you take some time is to choose it. Well it is not a common key. If you do not choose a truly strong one, the system does not let you follow the corresponding steps. It can be used with a web browser, or with an application for mobile devices whether Android or iOS **What do you dislike about Crypho?** The Spanish language is not available for now. However, it is so intuitive that just knowing a few words in English can be used without problems **Recommendations to others considering Crypho:** For now the program is free. It is easy to install and configure. It has a very easy interface to work and does not require any effort to learn how to handle it. It is very satisfying to feel the security in your messages, conversations and contents in the exchange of communication with your partners. **What do you dislike about Crypho?** For now I have not observed any problems in Crypho so far. End-to-end encrypted messaging and file sharing. 2. Company is based in Norway so EU laws and regulations apply 3. Very clean and simple UI (user interface) that logically moves from one step to the next. 4. Tiered pricing structure is reasonable and well differentiated (compared to some pricing structures that seem to offer insignificant differences between side-by-side price points). **What do you dislike about Crypho?** CONS 1. Maximum file size for file sharing is 100 mb (or 3 mb for a free plan). This, of course, limits file sharing for many audio and (especially) video files. 2. The sign-up process seemed to be glitchy. Followed the directions for adding contacts to a group but still wasn't able to successfully add them. Of course, the customer service is on European time zone, so you'll need to plan accordingly, if you ever need them. 3. In order for others to communicate with your company/org. via Crypho, they have to register to create their own account. To be fair, this is usually the case for E2E apps, but in this case, the step is just a bit longer than your average account registration. And this is probably a good thing, but it would be excellent if they could somehow shorten the process. **What problems is Crypho solving and how is that benefiting you?** Well, the obvious problem is the need for E2E messaging communication and document sharing beyond apps like Office 365 or Slack which don't offer E2E for intra-group messaging. Currently, we're still trying to figure out how to integrate Crypho with other productivity apps. ### 15.
