## About CrabTap
CrabTap is a digital loyalty platform designed specifically for small, local businesses such as cafes, coffee shops, salons, barbershops, restaurants, and retail stores. It replaces traditional paper stamp cards and expensive loyalty program software with a simple, affordable digital solution that works entirely through a web browser - no native app download required for customers or staff. With CrabTap, each customer creates a single account and receives one permanent QR code that works across every participating business. Instead of managing a separate loyalty card for every coffee shop, salon, or restaurant they visit, customers use the same CrabTap account everywhere, making it easy to track stamps, points, and rewards across multiple venues from one place. Business owners can choose between stamp-based programs, points-based programs, or a combination of both, depending on what fits their business model. Setting up a loyalty program takes only a few minutes: owners configure their rewards, upload a logo, and get a printable QR code for their counter that lets new customers join instantly. Once a customer is enrolled, staff can add stamps or points by scanning the customer's personal QR code with any smartphone camera, or by manually entering their member number. Before any action is confirmed, the customer's name is displayed on screen, reducing the risk of mistakes from manual entry. When customers accumulate enough points for a reward, they generate a short-lived, single-use redemption code that staff can verify and apply directly at checkout. Beyond day-to-day loyalty tracking, CrabTap gives business owners tools to send targeted promotions to their customer base by email and web push notification, filtered by activity level, so owners can specifically re-engage customers who haven't visited in a while.
