## About Cothon
Cothon is procurement software for Canadian companies bidding on federal and provincial government RFPs. Bid managers, capture managers, and proposal directors at SMBs and mid-market firms use Cothon to monitor CanadaBuys for new opportunities, analyze the resulting RFP documents, and produce structured response plans that map every mandatory and rated requirement to the team's capabilities. The platform aggregates tender notices from across many different platforms including CanadaBuys and SEAO and surfaces matches against your firm's capability profile, and flags new amendments or award notices automatically. From a tender notice, one click moves you into the bid analysis pipeline. The bid analysis pipeline accepts a PDF and produces a scored requirement breakdown the way a senior proposal manager would. Cothon extracts every requirement from the solicitation, preserves page numbers and section references for traceability back to the original document, classifies each requirement by type and complexity, and matches each one to a versioned capability profile with a confidence score. Three view modes (card, grid, table) match the workflow stage you're in: triaging quickly, building a compliance matrix, or reviewing line by line. Real-time collaboration, AI proposal generation, public sharing through token-based links, multi-tenant organization controls, flagged-term detection, and compliance-status visualization all sit on top of the same analysis layer. Cothon is built for Canadian government procurement specifically. The extraction model is trained on PWGSC, SSC, DND, and provincial RFP structures, not generic commercial RFPs. The compliance logic understands SACC clause references, official-language obligations, and Canadian Free Trade Agreement requirements. Companies bidding only on US federal contracts, pure commercial SaaS RFPs, or buy-side procurement (Cothon is for bidders, not buyers) should look elsewhere.
