Honestly, the price looks attractive at first. That’s the trap. On paper it’s cheap, specs look good, location choices are decent – but none of it matters when your VPS is killed right after setup. I bought a fresh VPS and within hours it was suspended due to an old abuse report tied to the IP they gave me (154.26.132.151). I hadn’t even used it yet. It’s clear they recycled a dirty IP. Contabo never warned me, just shut it down and demanded $46 for reactivation. Total scam move. I sent proof, logs, even contacted Cogent directly. They ignored it and still blamed me. Support is slow, robotic, and unapologetic. I don’t trust this company anymore. Avoid Contabo unless you want surprise suspensions for things you didn’t do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Instead, I got a recycled, flagged IP that led to an immediate suspension without usage. Rather than benefit, I lost time, money, and trust.
