"Easy, Professional Email Campaigns with Great Templates and Analytics"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Constant Contact?

What I like most about Constant Contact is how easy it is to create, manage, and track email marketing campaigns without needing technical expertise. The platform offers an intuitive interface while still providing the tools needed to run professional marketing campaigns. Drag-and-drop email builder with professionally designed templates. Simple contact list management and audience segmentation. Built-in email automation for welcome emails and follow-up campaigns. Detailed analytics for open rates, click-through rates, and campaign performance. Integrations with CRM, e-commerce, and social media platforms to streamline marketing efforts. For me, the most valuable feature is the user-friendly campaign builder. It makes designing responsive emails quick and straightforward, allowing campaigns to be created and launched with minimal effort. The biggest benefit is improved marketing efficiency. Constant Contact helps me reach customers consistently, monitor engagement, and optimize campaigns based on real performance data without requiring advanced marketing or design skills. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Constant Contact?

The biggest drawback is the limited automation capabilities. It works well for basic email sequences, but businesses with more complex customer journeys may find the automation options less flexible than other marketing platforms. The marketing automation features are more limited than those offered by more advanced platforms. Email template customization can feel restrictive for users who want complete design flexibility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from RJ McLaughlin of Constant Contact

Thanks for such an in-depth review, Ravindra. It's great to hear the drag-and-drop builder, segmentation, and real-time analytics are helping you launch campaigns quickly and actually use the data to improve them over time. You're right that automation and template customization have limits for more complex customer journeys, and that's exactly the kind of gap we want to keep closing as we continue to improve our product. If you're up for sharing more on the specific journeys or designs you'd want more flexibility for, we'd love to pass that along to the team.

"Simple Contact Management for Short Campaigns"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Constant Contact?

What I like best about Constant Contact is that it handles the core email marketing work pretty well without making everything feel like a big project. Building campaigns, managing lists, using templates, and getting emails out the door are all straightforward enough that non-technical users can usually work in it without needing IT to sit beside them the whole time.

It’s also reasonably priced for what it is, especially compared with some platforms that start simple and then get expensive the second you need normal business features. Constant Contact also offers prepay savings, including nonprofit discounts, which is helpful for organizations that have to be careful with their budget.

The support side is another plus. I like that phone support is still available, because many SaaS tools have pushed everyone into chatbots, forums, or help articles. Constant Contact isn’t perfect, but when there’s an account, billing, or campaign issue, being able to talk to an actual person makes cleanup a lot easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Constant Contact?

The biggest frustration for me has been account and subaccount administration. Constant Contact works fine once people are in and using it, but the setup can get a little confusing when you’re supporting multiple teams, departments, or locations under one broader organization.

The ownership model is the part that feels a bit awkward from an IT operations standpoint. Constant Contact does have user roles like Account Manager and Campaign Creator, which are helpful, but the Account Owner still seems to be the control point for billing, ownership, and higher-level account management. That can make it harder to build a clean structure where a central admin team has oversight while each team still has the right level of access to manage its own campaigns.

The recovery process is also something I’d like to see improved. If the original account owner leaves the company, you may have to involve support to transfer or recover ownership. To be fair, that’s not uncommon with SaaS tools, and there are security reasons for it. But from an admin perspective, it creates additional risk and cleanup work that could be avoided with stronger centralized admin controls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from RJ McLaughlin of Constant Contact

Thank you for your review and for laying out your feedback so clearly, James. It's great to hear that campaign building, list management, and templates have made day-to-day email marketing manageable for your team without needing IT involved at every step, and we're glad the pricing and prepay options have worked for your budget. Your point on subaccounts and ownership administration is a fair one, which is exactly why we now offer Teams for Constant Contact. Centralized oversight with clean delegated access is exactly the kind of structure that Teams offers, so if you're open to it, give our support team a call and ask about how Teams could help benefit your multi-team organization; we'd be happy to ensure that your Constant Contact account is set up to bring your team maximum value.

"Flexible Email Templates and Insightful Reporting in Constant Contact"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Constant Contact?

What I like most about Constant Contact is the flexibility. I can create almost any email template I need, including custom designs using HTML/CSS coding, and instantly see the changes in real time. I also really appreciate the reporting dashboard because it provides detailed insights into email performance, engagement, and audience behavior after each send. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Constant Contact?

What I do not like is that sometimes the final email does not fully match the preview version. Fonts and formatting can appear differently once the email is delivered, which can make design consistency challenging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from RJ McLaughlin of Constant Contact

Olga, thanks for taking the time to update your G2 rating! We're glad Constant Contact has been a great experience for you, and if there's anything that would make it even better, we'd genuinely love to hear it. Don't hesitate to reach out anytime.

"Good Email Designer and Easy Send Flow, but a Workflow Frustration"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Constant Contact?

The designer is pretty good, and I think the flow from making an email to sending it out is fairly easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Constant Contact?

The major thing that I wanted to bring to Constant Contact's attention this time is what really frustrates me in my workflow. If I create a new list and upload contacts, it asks me again what list I want to upload the contacts to, and I have to re-write/find the list I'm already in. Who thought this was a good idea? It's literally double the work. I'm already in the list; why should I have to reclarify that I want to upload emails to that list? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from RJ McLaughlin of Constant Contact

Thanks so much for the valuable feedback, Kaylee! While I understand that it can be frustrating to have to re-select a list, we require that selection in case you want to upload contacts to multiple lists at once! Instead of having to click into each list and re-upload, the list selection allows you to do the multi-upload in one click. Though I know that can be frustrating when you're only uploading to a single list, we hope it will save you time in the future. We'll share this with our design team for consideration in future updates of Constant Contact.

"Constant Contact Review"
4/5
What do you like best about Constant Contact?

What I like most about Constant Contact is how easy it is to create and send professional-looking email campaigns without a steep learning curve. The drag-and-drop editor is intuitive, contact management is straightforward, and the built-in templates make it quick to get campaigns out the door. I also appreciate the reporting dashboard, which gives a clear view of open rates, clicks, and overall campaign performance, making it easy to track results and improve future emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Constant Contact?

My biggest complaint is that some of the advanced features feel a bit limited. The email editor works well for most use cases, but it can be restrictive for more customized layouts, and the automation capabilities could be more flexible. Overall, it's a solid platform, but there's room to improve for users with more advanced marketing needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from RJ McLaughlin of Constant Contact

Thanks, Omer. Hearing that the drag-and-drop editor and reporting dashboard have taken real time and guesswork out of your email marketing is exactly what we hope for. You're right that the editor and automation have limits for more advanced setups, and that's useful for us to hear from someone clearly pushing the platform further than most. If you're open to it, we'd love more detail on the specific layouts or automation flows you're after so we can pass it along to the team building those features.

"Clean, Affordable Newsletter Tool with Easy Integrations, Analytics, and A/B Testing"
5/5
What do you like best about Constant Contact?

It is a clean application to create newsletters, automated emails and such for businesses and nonprofits. It easily integrates with websites for lead gen as well as building your "list". It also provides good analytics regarding open rate as well as sanitizing your list. Cost wise it is a affordable option for both small and large organizations. It has A/B testing to test the performance of a specific layout to be able refine what works best and has a better open rate. It has a drag and drop layout that makes it easy for even nontechnical people to use while also having the capabilty to code your own emails in html if you desire. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Constant Contact?

The one thing that is a little inconvenient is the ability to automatically send emails when a blog post is written requires a rss feed addon as it does not come as a natural connection between the website and Constant Contact. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from RJ McLaughlin of Constant Contact

Thank you for leaving a review, Charles! We're thrilled you find our drag-and-drop editor and A/B testing tools easy to use and affordable. We appreciate your feedback regarding the RSS feed add-on for blog posts and will share it with our team for consideration in future updates.

"Easy, Cost-Effective Email Marketing with Strong Integrations and Support"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Constant Contact?

Its ease of use: it lets people create professional-looking email campaigns quickly without needing technical skills, while also handling contact management and basic analytics in one place. Beyond that, integrations add a lot of value by connecting with tools like e-commerce platforms and social media, while solid performance ensures emails are delivered reliably and campaigns run smoothly. In terms of pricing / ROI, it’s generally considered cost-effective for small to mid-sized businesses because it saves time and reduces the need for technical expertise. Finally, its growing AI / intelligence features help with things like subject line suggestions and automation, making marketing efforts more efficient. This is reinforced by strong support and onboarding, which helps users get up and running fast without needing much prior experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Constant Contact?

Performance is generally reliable, but there are limitations like no unlimited email sends and restrictions based on your plan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from RJ McLaughlin of Constant Contact

Thank you for your review and valuable feedback, Melissa!

I like that it has been pretty easy to use. I feel confident in its ability to accruatly send messages to people. I like teh colors of the page. I like how yoy can star certain lists Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Constant Contact?

I think there is alot of tabs on the side that sometimes its confusing. i also wish there was some setting you could turn on that would show you who eduted what like which user. I also wish it could tell youn like "you havent used this lisr in 6 moinths do you want to delete it" I also feel like adding contacts is not as smooth as it could e I am always clicking around and I eel like eerytime it shows stuff up ina difffeent way Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Empowers Marketing with Helpful Tools and Resources + Elevated communication experience with clients"
5/5
What do you like best about Constant Contact?

I like how Constant Contact isn't just a platform that we use to communicate to customers and about our brand, they provide so many tools and resources on how to improve marketing and branding within our business. I do think there are lots of helpful templates to help create certain projects. Definitely will recommend to others. I also appreciate the educational webinars, great to see multiple perspectives Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Constant Contact?

I think the only thing we had struggled is the HTML format when designing. It isn't a huge problem but there seems to be a little more work to appropriately design a campaign. And i saw canva is now integrated which honestly improves this issue Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from RJ McLaughlin of Constant Contact

Thank you for your kind review and recommendation, Katelynn!

"Time-Saving Email Duplication with Fair Pricing and an Easy Learning Curve"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Constant Contact?

I like that I can go back to previous emails I've sent and duplicate and change the information or be able to look back and see what I have done and go from there. Saves me time from having to recreate the same things over and over.

Pricing seems fair and the software is easy for first time users to master. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Constant Contact?

I dislike how when I am editing an email it won't let me copy and paste items easily. I have to log out of the website then re-log in to be able to copy and paste. Also sometimes the moving of the email parts doesn't always function well and is hard to get to where I would like them.

The spell check & grammar feature also could use some work. It doesn't always show until it is too late. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from RJ McLaughlin of Constant Contact

Thank you for leaving a review! We're glad duplicating emails saves you time, and we appreciate your feedback on how to improve our platform. We'll pass that along to our development team for consideration in future Constant Contact updates.
