However, these don't really matter because our system has quite a substantial amount of data within it. I don't have any problem with regard to the accuracy and other attributes of Conga. **Recommendations to others considering Conga Grid:** If you handle large volumes of data, you can expect a slow and laggy Conga. I can make changes in place, and do it in batch based on criteria I set. I can even review changes before they are applied. Full record locking, field-level-security, record visibility rules...all are respected. I can even update records based on criteria from related records (where there is a master/detail relationship) **What do you dislike about Conga Grid?** It would be nice if I could set update criteria based on related objects with a lookup relationship. **Recommendations to others considering Conga Grid:** If you're in the data at all, it will save you a lot of time and headaches. They are also able to edit things like this very quickly using Grid and don't have to go into individual records especially in situations where they need 100s of records changed. **What do you dislike about Conga Grid?** As an admin, it was initially hard to get used to grid. There is a lot of security that we had to put behind fields that are not editable in SF to make sure we get the same restrictions from Grid. It's easy to update mass records quickly and allows customizations of functions to be made for each client I've helped install it for. It's easy to spot gaps in data and update them quickly. The clients I have implemented this for have loved the level of visibility it allows. **What do you dislike about Conga Grid?** The saving feature does not auto-update a record - it requires a page refresh. It seems to be temperamental in its loading and crashing. You can combine more than 1 object onto a single grid or have a multi-tab grid which can be different objects that may serve the same business purpose. The original intent of going with ActionGrid was to replace functionality that users are accustomed to in Excel. The Product has met and exceeded expectations in what we wanted it and needed it to do. **What do you dislike about Conga Grid?** You still can't edit records of multiple record types. This is an SF limitation but I had hoped there would be a way around that using the tool. We currently separate grids with a grouping for record type to work around this. It can also be a little quirky to get column sizing just right because all screen sizes are different and the system doesn't want white space so you may adjust a column and then the system will change it. **Recommendations to others considering Conga Grid:** Test it out before purchasing. I was leaning towards a different product but after demoing both, ActionGrid won out in its functionality. It's also an added bonus that Conga offers additional products for future needs and growth. **What problems is Conga Grid solving and how is that benefiting you?** We initially went with ActionGrid to replace Excel sheets that were used to run the business. The tool looks similar to Excel in its rows of data and it also allows conditional formatting which was huge for us. I helped implement CongaGrid for a client who was using it as a temporary solution to add Quote Line Items. They ended up loving the tool so much they found other places where they could utilize it. **What do you dislike about Conga Grid?** My one dislike of CongaGrid is the saving feature. The ability to create and display filtered lead lists, together with related lists in a reading pane, and then either mass update across multiple rows or open an on-the-fly defined subset of lead records, then List Browse through those records is a definite efficiency enhancer. We also use ActionGrid for a weekly process where the Rep claims sales credit for various KPIs on their Opportunity based on submitted orders associated with those Opportunities. Another use is account and territory planning, aligning objectives with opportunities. In all cases, this allows us to combine cross-object data display with inline editing for significant efficiency improvements. ### 42.
