When we receive full ledger exports packed with thousands upon thousands of journal entries for year‑end audits, manually combing through every single line would eat up multiple days of our team’s billable time. The AI quickly runs through all that data and calls out unusual transaction patterns, such as large round‑value manual adjustments, out‑of‑period expense postings, or unexpected offsetting bookings that human reviewers might easily overlook at a quick glance. This lets us zero in on high‑risk areas right at the start of an audit cycle. Instead of wasting hours doing monotonous line‑by‑line checks, our auditors can shift their focus to digging into those flagged risks, interviewing clients, and verifying underlying source documents. That said, these time‑saving benefits only apply to initial triage; none of the AI outputs can be accepted as valid audit evidence on their own under German tax rules. **What do you dislike about Computron AI?** For our German audit practice, Computron AI has two critical pain points tied directly to GoBD requirements that create constant extra overhead. Most importantly, it cannot produce immutable, reproducible audit trails for its AI‑generated alerts. When we hand over audit files to German tax inspectors, they want full visibility into exactly how each suspicious transaction was identified. The tool only shows the final alert result, with no record of which datasets, weightings or logic the AI used to reach that conclusion. During year‑end client audits, we cannot submit raw Computron AI outputs; our team has to manually write out supporting documentation for every single flagged entry, which adds many extra work hours on each engagement.
