What do you like best about CoinAPI?

Their website looked good, and their Startup plan looked promising for Crypto API data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoinAPI?

Signed up for CoinAPI Startup plan ($79/mo) expecting a hard 1,000-credit daily limit. Instead, it defaults to allowing overages with no real-time block — extra requests get processed during short enforcement windows, then you get a "Quota Exceeded" email after the billable damage is done.

First day: bulk pull → 7,252 extra credits → $124.06 surprise charge (157% add-on). Spend Management hard cap is off by default; you must enable it manually post-signup.

Feels like a billing gotcha: market fixed quota, let users overrun unknowingly, bill later.

Other APIs enforce limits properly. Disputed charge as not as described.

What do you like best about CoinAPI?

First of all - their on onboarding process is very simple and elegant. With in 30 seconds, I got my API keys and started integrating with code snipped they provided in my prefered language - which was really great.

Their dashboard is neat and real-time, showing real-time metrics smothly. Team-member features enabled me to invite my colleagues which was really awesome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CoinAPI?

Easy to set up API calls for your app/website to get historical crypto data about the markets. very beneficial that it's in one place rather than having to use several different API calls that are all written differently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CoinAPI?

I haven't played around with the EMS API however, I would like for there to be better built-in encryption for the calls. You have to build it out yourself and it can be a pain depending on how encrypted you want to make it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
