There are concerns about security none of my websites have boosted. The inconvenience is having to create passwords. I understand the need for increased security. **What do you dislike about CMS Made Simple?** CMS Made Simple lacks features and customization options that experienced developers often require. The documentation is occasionally unhelpful the active forum assists. The software itself has proven to be unreliable, with many issues and hidden settings encountered. **What problems is CMS Made Simple solving and how is that benefiting you?** It suffices for websites. Falls short when it comes to difficult functionalities and extensive code customization. Its simplicity limits those who need control and flexibility over their website design and functionality. Easy to implement your own, custom PHP code into reusable User Defined Tags, nice features in the core distribution without a lot of extra nonsense. Plenty of available modules. **What do you dislike about CMS Made Simple?** Documentation assumes familiarity with CMS concepts and with Smarty PHP template engine and at times seems a little unhelpful. There is an active forum which helps, but sometimes troubleshooting can be difficult. The bundled MicroTiny text editor can be a pain to work with. **What problems is CMS Made Simple solving and how is that benefiting you?** Able to manage fair amount of content quickly and easily and to easily reuse code. Works great for general/basic html pages but also integrates nicely with custom PHP code for database-driven content. Was able to quickly build out a website section behind a login using available modules. ### 7. How to describe this software, well it's in the name! **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** jonathan s. | Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2020 **What do you like best about CMS Made Simple?** when using the software I found that being able to plug in almost any HTML/CSS design very useful in deed and in fact it made the whole process very simple. with the use of the support documents and community you can add a few lines of code, simple copy and paste to your site files change the structure as you have a header, footer and content section in your html it is pretty easy to transfer this to CMS Made Simple. As you can separate these sections out which in my opinion makes it easy if issues appear with your site to narrow down if it is in any of those sections making design fixes a breeze or should I say "simple". I also love the plug in feature, you can choose from a host of free or paid plugins or community created ones to add to your site, so if you really want to add a blog, eCommerce or something more fancy you can with eases and the best bit you can keep complete control over the design. I have used other well known cms or blog scripts but found them too bloated and slow requiring more work after design to have them work at the desired 3 secs site speed I would like a site to run below, when I discovered CMS Made Simple I used it on all projects and to this day i still do it has been an amazing find and would highly recommend it to anyone starting out in web design and needing a simple to use and reliable CMS. **What do you dislike about CMS Made Simple?** Well some would give a big list here but i to date have found no issues with the software and there is really nothing i could say against it. **Recommendations to others considering CMS Made Simple:** Test the software for yourself, after 1 days use you will see it lives up to it's name and can deliver design to live projects faster than you would expect. **What problems is CMS Made Simple solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have solved many problems with the software and one being site speed, I hate using CMS technology that makes sites run so slow it may make the user click away, after all we want the user to stay and interact and if a site takes too long to load it is a big turn off for me. So I suppose you could say the main thing I solved was site speed another would have been the ease from site design to adding to a cms. One of the major drags of some CMS systems is once you do the design you then have to completely rip apart the design to use it with that CMS with CMS Made Simple you do not need to do this. ### 9.
