## Cloudcraft Reviews
 ### 1. Good for visualisation but ...

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

The visuals are amazing. Its easy to get the cloud resorce diagram.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

Only visualisation does not help. Diagrams should be in the format AWS SA accepts. Missing DevOps automations.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps visualising the cloud components. The UI is awesome.

 ### 2. Designing of Avensent Cloud Architecture in AWS Platfrom using Blueprint Features of Cloudcraft

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ravi C. | Cloud Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

Cloudcraft provides me with programmatic access to our architecture diagrams and blueprints. It gives fully automated features for designing our AWS visualization in the form of ready-to-use images or JSON scripts. We can create snapshots and also do comparisons in both pre & post-deployment stages in our AWS environment. We can conveniently take backups, import & export data present in Cloudcraft and secure its access privileges using API-based authentication enablements.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

The time required to create the snapshot is based on the number of resources we have incorporated in our AWS Region. Its API waits only for up to 120 seconds after which the request is not processed. This results in waiting for snapshot creation which may delay your design requirements if you happen to have immediate deployments on hand.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We prepare our Blueprint for Avensent cloud architecture design through diagram, budget and by attaching components to them. We can also utilize its API feature to build, read, modify and remove the designs in our blueprint. We can share them with our team members, view the cost metrics and configurations of each component & utilizing its cloud libraries for overviewing our resource distributions in the AWS platform.

 ### 3. Very elegant tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Outsourcing/Offshoring | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

The ability to interrogate my account and render it visually is a huge help. Even if just to explain to others how things work, this kind of automatic visualization is a big time saver.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

Not a "dislike" so much as an eager desire: the ability to output CloudFormation scripts as well as Terraform. We don't use Terraform, but would make tremendous use of CloudFormation scripts.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The visualizations have been great to review the components we have implemented, and to generate "marketecture" diagrams for our company management to use to explain our systems.

 ### 4. Excellent interface, although not completely inclusive.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

The cost feature-- you can easily update your infrastructure and see what costs you'll incur. I haven't come across another tool that's this good yet. Easily worth the money for this feature alone.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

There are many missing products, like SageMaker, so there isn't a good way to get an entirely inclusive cost estimate for your stack based on this.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visualization for our infrastructure. These are being added to the README and to help new devs understand our stack. Helps with understanding costs as well.

 ### 5. Excellent tool for visualization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nishtha D. | D, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

Excellent tool for visualization in your AWS environment and easy to understand and integrate with your cloud services.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

The free account doesn't have access to APIs which is necessary to use

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using it for visualization as it is easy to integrate with AWS

 ### 6. Super easy to use and very straightforward jammed packed with features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew T. | IT Consultant & Systems Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

I enjoy the ability to build architecture diagrams while simultaneously understanding the impact of the costs for planning and budgeting purposes. The visual interface is very user friendly and easy to use. Anyone with an understanding of the AWS can dive right in without any real learning curve. When compared to using AWS Cost Calculator this thing is a cakewalk.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

As far as user experience is concerned (although very minor) one helpful feature would be to link icons with other objects so that they are in an object group. Due to the fact that I do not have a paid account I am unable to connect my AWS to display live components. But understandably this is a paid feature. Though it would be nice to preview it to get a full experience before committing to a subscription.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving both visual understanding and implementation of our AWS architecture for documentation purposes as well as cost analysis for budgeting and proposals. This helps from both a project planning perspective, implementation and budgeting, from start to finish of the application lifecycle.

 ### 7. Great experience and interface to design AWS Systems

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dillon P. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

The visual display of the elements and how they link together is really easy to understand

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

On the free tier the amount of space you have is a bit limited and sometimes you cannot clearly see where lines are connected when there are intersections.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

I would definitely recommend Cloudcraft to others as it is the best tool I've found for designing AWS systems. It gives great visual feedback and makes systems easy to understand. The free version is slightly limited in size, though, so for big systems it might not be the best solution.

All the services available on AWS are not available on Cloudcraft so it might not be the best for certain services. They do have the common services which is great for most situations.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am designing AWS systems as well as building already existing systems in order to predict pricing which is really beneficial. It is also nice to have a visual representation to show management.

 ### 8. Free tool to design and analyze AWS cost

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prasoon K. | Technical Manager, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

Everything about it. Starting from design and able to select the compute power, storage, database, zones, etc. It is also very interesting to change the configuration on each line item, and accordingly see the price of your design. You can also change the 'Billing Option' to adjust how many servers/compute power you need in a day and in the end, you can see the final price/month for your entire data center.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

Nothing to dislike, however, this tool has a limitation where we can't enter our negotiated price and then analyze the final price. Sometimes when you are configuring multi-zone solutions these parameters are very important to come up with the correct amount.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

This tool is extremely easy to use and most important it will give you a glimpse of how your solution will look and the cost associated with your solution. You can customize each and every component and make your own solution.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using Cloudcraft to design the multi-zone cluster deployment and understand what is the cost per month for my solution. Also, I have the ability to change the configuration depending on the use. For example, traffic during the weekdays (@9:00 - 5:00 pm) is at peak and during the weekend it is extremely less. I can use this tool to understand how much compute power and other things during weekends and weekdays and in the end, I am able to save tons of money.

 ### 9. Easy to Use Cloud Visualizations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacob J. | Technical Service Delivery Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

I love that the synchronization allows you to see the resource in your live environment for building diagrams. WAY easier than trying to have multiple tabs open, record resources, and build a cloud map all at the same time. When you have the ability to have different related resources grouped together like instances, security groups, subnets, and vpcs managing the resources in the map is far easier.

Another thing is the responsiveness of Cloudcraft. The maps look really great, but the responsiveness is far superior to what you would expect from a browser application. Never have I had any issues with responsiveness even though it is connecting to AWS accounts, syncing, and pulling data for resources into Cloudcraft.

Last, I would say that using Cloudcraft actually makes creating diagrams enjoyable. It feels like it was created by people that care and understand the problems that engineers face when trying to create and provide documentation either internally or to clients. Nothing is difficult to get to, everything I need is just a few clicks away.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

Honestly there is not a lot of downside I have noticed. Maybe that some time the text for the different resources like instances and load balancers overlaps, but other than that nothing comes to mind.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

If you plan to create diagrams for your cloud resources at least give the tool a try. It is superior to any other tool on the market that I have used.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to provide very professional cloud diagrams for clients when performing projects, migrations, and providing documentation. The time it takes to do these things in Cloudcraft is far less than when using other tools. Clients are able to receive simple, but descriptive diagrams of all of their resources and environments which are easy to follow.

 ### 10. Excellent for creating architecture and design diagrams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aman M. | Student Researcher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

The best thing is the 3-D diagrams. They are so good to visualize when creating one. Also it offers flexibility to use any kind of AWS resources. One of the great benefit is it also shows the project price in AWA which is awesome. No other online architecture diagram website shows this kind of flexibility and features. I would definitely consider using the premium version of cloudraft.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

It's a bit difficult to use the UI on laptop due to the trackpad. I always prefer using a physical mouse. Also if they can provide some kind of suggestions based on the resources I am using in my architecture diagram, that would be a great feature to have.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

I would definitely recommend to go with this product, it embeds great with AWS resources and has always updated it's diagrams with latest AWS resources.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am creating design diagrams for my projects that we are using in our courses. One of the great benefit is it also shows the project price in AWA which is awesome. No other online architecture diagram website shows this kind of flexibility and features. I would definitely consider using the premium version of cloudraft.

 ### 11. A great tool for cloud architectures

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diego J. | Cybersecurity Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

This platform is really intuitive, works great to explain the AWS architecture to members of the team and have a great idea of the architecture for any organization, with the integration to check budget and components directly form AWS save lots of time to manage and to show a dashboard for reports and becomes really helpfull to focus on the main components and services you need to show off to managers and IT staff

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

It would become more helpfull if there is another integrations for hybrid and multicloud enviroments, like Azure and GCP, with the same level of information, the actual graph are usefull, but a feature for check connections and security groups faster would be great too.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

This a great tool for those who look up to have one view of their AWS architecture and billing, in an intuitive manner, it helps you to track the conecctions and interactions between cloud components

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Cloudcraft I have been able to reduce time in the presentation of cloud architectures and services to team members, as to have better and simplified conversations with board members, about changes and cost reductions, improving the cloud comunication within the organization

 ### 12. Incredible easy to visualize your AWS cloud infrastructure

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Walter J. | DevOps Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

The 3D view and integration with AWS (with sync feature) makes it super easy to visualize and to maintain in real time your cloud infrastructure. As a Cloud Architect tried a lot of tools but none of them had the impact Cloudcraft diagrams produced on clients as they remain amazed on how much they can see about how their actual or proposed infrastructure is.
Even to teach about AWS cloud infrastructure and services it makes it a great all around tool.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

The pricing, while you keep it for a single user is the best tool around, but you scale to $ 49 per user even if you want to add a small team to the editing of the diagrams.
Some AWS resources are still not available as a component and you can only add them as an icon.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

You should really take advantage of the live monitoring and budgeting features

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Design of infrastructure and application data flows for different projects on AWS. The major benefit so far is that it makes really easy people that is not fully into AWS cloud to understand the infrastructure design proposals. Also was a great tool to present some colleagues infrastructure ideas at early stages of design.

 ### 13. Easy to use, effective and eye-catching

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Filippo F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

It's really easy to use, fast to learn and gives unexpected results in presentations even to non-tech-savvy people.
Import function has a great potential for both discovery and planning. We really like it!
They also have a Trello board for upcoming feature and feature requests.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

Being multi-cloud would be a great addition.
Starting from icons will be a major step. Calculator and import will be nice to have, but not a must have.
First step could be just a set of icons and we could use software for its graphical appearance. And it will be great.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

It's easy and rewarding.
My boss is happy to see eye-catching pictures of architectures in presentation and I'm happy I can create them easily.
Giving a fast estimate during work is a nice function too.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Drawing architectures and make cost calculations is a major work.
Represent them in a good looking way is a very important part of our job.
Do both requirements fast and easy is a really appreciated functionality.

 ### 14. Your Cloud, Visualized

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luiz Felipe R. | Coordenador, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

Awesome tool to create Cloud Diagrams and Visualizations, even importing from your own AWS Infrastructure from CloudCraft Live Feature. The budget feature is another godsent feature, as It allows me to create a solution diagram and know how it will go down in pricing without having to resort to AWS Price Calculator or price per product page, as it is built in. Beautifully crafted diagrams that I export to my presentations when pitching a new solution. Everybody is amazed and ask me if it's Visio.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

Right now, we are migrating much of our workload to another cloud provider (Microsoft Azure), because of billing issues. In that respect, Cloudcraft is mostly AWS-centric. But I'm hoping that developers of this awesome tool will hear us and provide the same unique features and seamless experience for other providers, such as Azure, GCP and IBM Cloud at least.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

If you're a heavy AWS user in a need for creating visualizations of your solutions, go for CloudCraft. Is that simple.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For creating ground up infrastructure solutions, presentations and even budgeting purposes with the pricing feature. The live feature is also very cool, but it's one I've used the least as of today.

 ### 15. The best cloud diagram tool for aws

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mateus M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

Diagrams made with the cloudcraft tool are so good looking. The parallax feature makes it very intuitive.

The different nodes allow you to make any type of infrastructure with it. The cost calculator is WISIWYG, great user interface and you will never lose your diagrams since it is all online. Been using it for 3 years.

The auto generator looked like magic for me, being able to import an existing aws infrastructure is awesome.

Só far I didn't had any issues with performance or downtime.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

It's very pricy for small startups. But the free plan doesn't make the experience bad.

A mobile app only for viewing would be nice.

Multiple users editor and view only link sharing would be good too.

There isn't a trivial way of having the diagrams offline and edit it in offline as I know.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

Try it, see where you can save costs. It is easy and fast to use.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I managed to low the aws billing of my client by 80%. The company didn't had a updated cloud diagram. Which made the management very bad.

With cloud craft I was able to havee a macro and micro view of our infrastructure

 ### 16. Beautiful AWS Diagrams and Cost Estimation all in one

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juan S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

I like how simple it is to use and how beautiful the diagrams look. It also allows you to estimate costs, so I can price out a specific network build in Cloudcraft before deploying - allowing me to stay within a budget and design with the said budget in mind. The budget breakdown view is fantastic and probably the best part of the platform. Their Live Mode allows me to link our AWS to Cloudcraft and see our existing infrastructure - it is an amazing feature that has come in handy and one that I am glad they added.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

I don't think there is a single thing I dislike about Cloudcraft - it is extremely resilient, portable, and easy to use. It took me maybe 20-30 minutes to become an "expert" at most of its features. I would not change a single thing - the drag and drop is great, and the UI is beautiful and very clean.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cloudcraft to document our network and modifications. I also use it to stay within budget as we are a smaller organization and have a very restricted budget. I have budgeted and planned all of our network/AWS infrastructure purely on Cloudcraft. Additionally, the budget view is absolutely amazing - it gives a breakdown, service by service of the estimated monthly cost.

 ### 17. A solid tool for creating great looking AWS diagrams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

The web UI is very clean and easy to use when creating various types of AWS cloud diagrams. It utilizes very clean and professional looking icons that results in some of the best looking diagrams with minimal effort. Additionally the budget feature makes it easy to estimate the initial costs of the infrastructure as part of the design stage.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

Certain AWS services have an "enhanced" experience when utilizing the tool (e.g. EC2, RDS, EFS, S3, etc). Basically these enhanced services have special 3D icons and have integration with the budget calculator. To me these "enhanced" services are a killer feature that really helps set the tool apart, however, there are still a large number of AWS services that aren't represented in this fashion. When you are creating your diagram and bump up against a situation where you have to represent a non-enhanced service it really breaks the flow and synergy of the tool. This is by no means a deal breaker however and as time goes on the list of non-enhanced services is shrinking.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We do a lot of cloud consulting along with helping various companies migrate into the cloud. When it comes to presenting this information cleanly to clients in documentation or review sessions it is hard to beat a Cloudcraft diagram. Additionally when initially mapping out these new cloud architectures the budget tools provides a great way to quickly estimate the expected costs.

 ### 18. Takes very little time

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex Z. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

It's very easy to create diagrams quickly. The icons are easy to find. My friends accept diagrams from me with this tool. Everybody can use it and it is making the world a better place. I don't mind the 3d tilt. Sometimes I draw flat diagrams. Sometimes I draw the nifty 3d ones. It's just my preference. It's easy to draw established patterns because there are lots of example diagrams. That really speeds up my productivity. It's easy to export a diagram. Sometimes I simply export a diagram as a pdf. It's especially important to export to a png. For example, when I draw diagrams of EC2 based cloud architectures, I like to share the picture.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

It's not the best brainstorming tool. Sometimes I'm just exploring instead of diagramming a particular architecture.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

It's easy to log in and try.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problem: Communicate an architecture for a security audit. I benefited from the recognizable icons that the auditors have seen in other diagrams from other architects.

 ### 19. Great platform for planning and documenting architecture

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

The main feature I like is the ability to quickly brainstorm and present an architecture proposal to a wider team. It covers nearly all the AWS services I could need to use in a clean and concise manner. The cost estimation is also a useful feature.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

For other teammates who are less familiar with the symbols, the labeling of different parts of the stack can be complicated and hard to document. I think there is room for improvement in the labeling of certain key features. I also do not particularly like the duplication of resources - i.e. there are so many different symbols for a Lambda that it can be hard to remain consistent.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

Start off by trying a simple architecture like a basic REST API with a gateway and some Lambdas and a Dynamo table. Then progress on to more complicated designs.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I plan out and pitch architectural designs and use them as a reference whilst building. They are a living document to maintain a copy of our infrastructure and used for onboarding new colleagues and bringing them up to speed on how we use various AWS services.

 ### 20. Incredibly useful tool for planning, review, and communication about your cloud services

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve M. | Head Of Content, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

I like the ability to quickly create accurate documentation and use the drawings to communicate to my clients or prospective clients. It's especially helpful when you use the budgeting / cost features, but even if you ignore those features it's still a best-in-class product and by far the easiest to use and get up to speed with.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

If you need insights from multiple clouds, it's going to be tough because right now it's a very AWS focused product. I'm sure that will change, though, and I love their constant innovation. The bottom line is that if you're using AWS now, regardless of other clouds, you'll be able to benefit from this product. If you're using ONLY AWS, you'll get the maximum benefit, but if you're full-on multi-cloud, you'll still get some benefit.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

Use if often, especially to track and document where everything is. Don't let your accounting dept. get surprised by a big AWS bill--use Cloudcraft to keep track of all those instances.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cloudcraft solves the problem of making detailed, useful diagrams of all my cloud services, whether existing or planned. It saves me from having to adapt a general purpose drawing tool that isn't cloud-aware--I can get super granular, even picking from a well-maintained list of EC2 instance types. Try doing that in Visio!

**Official Response from McKinley Padier:**

> Steve, thanks for your review!

 ### 21. Best visualization tool for cloud architecture

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prashant V. | Product Development Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

The end result is without a doubt the best visualization for a cloud architecture I have seen from any tool. UI is fairly simple. Didn't have to root around to find the right symbols as I usually have to in Visio or something not specifically designed for visualizing cloud architectures. Would definitely recommend for individual users, especially if you are trying to learn cloud architecture or even teaching it/blogging about it etc.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

Pricing tier jump from free to $49 per user doesn't make sense for me as an individual user. Might work if the company pays for it. But I can't see the justification for it to an individual.

The main advantage of a paid account is the AWS sync feature, which could work better as a paid add-on to the free tier.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Very helpful in planning out resources before implementing, especially in an educational or training scenario. Was very useful when I was trying to get the AWS certifications.

**Official Response from McKinley Padier:**

> Many thanks for your review, Prashant!

 ### 22. Value is use dependent. I love the isometric views

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cameron B. | AWS Solutions Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

The isometric views are the best I've seen. Absolutely stunning.
Can be less than perfect when the architecture is too crowded.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

I use the auto-sync and it is marvelous on limited architectures.
Having to auto-sync one region at a time is a bummer. Also, while it saves hours, it still lags when the VPC has lots of resources in it.
No ECS services are shown.
Not a comprehensive view of all 'relationships'.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed cloudcraft to help me solve the problem of rapid identification of clients AWS accounts. Unfortunately it didn't quite solve that for me. It was too slow, cumbersome on more sophisticated networks and not comprehensive enough coverage.

What I use it for now, is if I have a simpler architecture and I want to impress my client with a view of their architecture that is spiffy...i'll use CloudCraft as a "last mile" solution.

 ### 23. Nice tool to document your infrastructure

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Volodymyr Y. | Pilot, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

We liked the visualization and robustness of the tool. The rendered blueprints look clear and nice. A perspective to have it clearly mapped to the actual infrastructure also helps a lot.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

It takes time to get used to the interface to adjust all of the elements nicely. We'd wish for smoother performance on moving the things around. Adjusting labels to be readable also takes time.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

Consider it as a documentation tool first, then move on to paid AWS infrastructure mapping for the ongoing reference update. Cloudcraft is pretty for its nice visualization which otherwise could be achieved with a number of alternatives.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Documenting existing infra of the projects. This is #1 what this tool is good for. It's easy to explain how the cloud infra works to the team with those images and you can also keep the documentation actual with the tool.

 ### 24. Best resource to visualize your Cloud Architecture.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason A. | IT Business Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

With Cloudcraft, I can conceptualize cloud architecture in the planning stage. The platform also enables me to predict OPEX required for the solutions allowing stakeholders to make informed decisions. With the live feature, I can easily import my cloud inventory, Cloudcraft automatically creates layouts based on service relationships and provides live data of all components and more.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

It would be wonderful to add a feature where I am able to export the drawings to Microsoft Visio.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

Try the free version that's jam-packed with tons of features. I highly recommend Cloudcraft.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our digital transformation goals involved migrating the current workload to the cloud. With Cloudcraft we were able to map out our cloud infrastructure and provide stakeholders with actual budget numbers. By using Cloudcraft, we were able to design a robust AWS architecture and save time and money on hiring outsourced consultants.

 ### 25. The perfect solution to map out any SAAS environment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charles S. | DevOps Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

I find the solution itself very useable being able to create a SAAS diagram and then export it as a png has been brilliant to use and have used this in many documents over the past year

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

I feel it is missing the feature to create Cloudformation templates from the diagrams, which would make it more a AWS only feature but it would save alot of time for solutions architects to have to create or even a CFN upload that maps out infrastructure

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

If you want a solution that has good free parts to map out any SAAS environment Cloudcraft would be the perfect place to start

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to map out our SAAS application to show the customer what we will be implanted and show differences from what we use to use to what we can bring to the table

 ### 26. The one cloud architecture visualisation tool which does it almost perfectly!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manish K. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

- I love the auto sync of architecture components.
- The '3D' view is fantastic, specially for presenting to stakeholders
- Cost calculation is an indispensable tool while planning the architecture components
- The tool absolutely simple and beautiful to use
- The components have additional information like memory size etc.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

- Brilliant for AWS specific stuff
- Many icons etc for different services are still not present
- Cost of $49 doesn't make any sense for individual users/start ups/consultants.
- The auto generated views of larger architectures are almost unusable.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

Go for it. It is no brainer with the tools we have available in same competitive landscape.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- To do faster designs of architectures was the objective. Definitely helps in that.
- To budget the architectures in a better way. Beautiful tool in that regard.

 ### 27. Good 3D visualisation but need more better integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arun G. | Solution Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

Cloudcraft default design is 3D showing the overall landscape of the architecture as if we are interacting with the real components. The vast amount of icons, and easy to use makes it stand in the top rated companies to visualise the architecture.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

As most of the companies are already moving to Confluence or have already moved there, a better integration is required where people can create diagrams using the document itself and don't have to copy paste the links or use an iframe..

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

Please ensure that this is integrated with your current documentation platform to reap all the benefits

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cloudcraft is giving us a much better visual of the architecture that we create in our day to day work. It improve the quality of the architecture which makes it easy to understand for others.

 ### 28. Excellent Mapping Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

I love how Cloudcraft integrates with AWS and pulls all your servers into the system and maps everything out for you. so you can easily show how your infrastructure is designed. exporting as pdf, jpg is great. but also the export as terraform code is awesome.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

honestly nothing. the system is supereb.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

if you want a great 3d/2d mapping tool for aws this is the one. its so simple and easy. worht every penny

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we constantly update our infra and with cloudcraft we can share a visual map of it with all staff.

when planning a new project the budget tool is great as you visually plot the infra and then get a accurate monthly budget too.

 ### 29. Excellent for prototyping an architecture

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ramiro S. | CoFounder & Data Scientist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

It is very easy to use, in the first steps of an architectural design it is important to have a tool like this where you can put and move components through a friendly UI. The cost estimation is very good and key for an early budget.
The visualization tools are always an excellent ally to communicate with non-technical stakeholders.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

Probably it is a bit expensive for only one user or little projects

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I teach about Cloud Computing, so I recommend it to my students for their practices and projects. They are OK with the Free Tier. In my own company, I use it for the early designs of our projects, mostly related to Internet of Things.

 ### 30. Excellent tool for high level architecture

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

The aesthetic of the tool is wonderful. Clear, easy to understand, and uncluttered. Personally, I like working in the isometric view, but switching to the 2D viewport is seamless and just as easy to use.

Reorganising existing designs is really simple and takes seconds.

I particularly like how intuitive the experience is: within minutes I'd created my first diagrams.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

Some of the more esoteric AWS services are missing. I'd also use the tool more if it supported GCP too.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The diagrams are a wonderful tool to explain platform architecture to decision makers who may not be particularly technical. The "block" nature of them helps me walk managers & collaborators through a system step by step.

 ### 31. Great tool for AWS Architecture Diagrams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Federico G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

Quick and easy to diagram AWS architectures. It has every icon for any AWS service. Useful in creating documentation of back-end platforms or as a presentation tool in meetings for the design of new architectural proposals.
Very detailed reports of AWS monthly budgets.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

I would love to have the respective diagrams but of other competing platforms (such as Google and Azure).
The learning curve is bit high but justifies the results.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can show clear AWS architecture to my internal team and modify it in real-time during our review sessions.
For freelancing project, I can easily review with the client the proposed structure and show in detail every component and their costs associated.

 ### 32. Very to Vizualize and to get the Cost

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gowtham P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

Visualization is too good with 2D and 3D, It shows the costing details which is so easy estimate the cost of the Cloud infra's, AWS costing much straight forward, My client was really happy when I could provide the exact cost for the resource utilization, I could provide and the provide the same for the other Cloud provide too, that was pretty helpful, I haven't used in Azure if we could get the Azure, GCP and other Coulcd providers costing on the same place would be much helpful, It is pretty good to set the environment on Secured way

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

I do not find any dislike features, so far it is pretty Awesome,

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

So far the application seems to be so could, I Would appreciate if we bring more could to provide in the draw roles, the best feature is about the dimension view, it shows in 3D and simulataneously we could convert that 2D for normla, AWS costing much staraight forward, My client was really happy when i could provide the exact cost for the resouce utlization, I couls provide and the provide the same for the other Cloud provide too, that was prtty helpful, I haven't used in Azure if we could get the Azure, GCP and other Coulcd providers costing on the same place woul be much helpful, It is pretty good to set the enviroment on Secured way

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

From in Architec perspective, I found the Orientation of service placementare really good, it was helping me place the VPC and other features in the right place

 ### 33. Graphical AWS Environment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

Show the AWS graphical environment as quickly as possible, automatically and simply. It does not require large configurations in the environment, and shows exactly what we need from the environment.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

The price of the solution is too high for a single user. Even though he delivers what I need, information, makes me wonder if it is really worth keeping this cost monthly, for example, or even the current plan. Another point is that the annual value, even with two months less, seems to be little better than the monthly value.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

I tried a lots of other solutions, before discover Cloudcraft. And during the trial, already convinced me that it is a very good option to automatically display our environment. The price is quite high, but, depending on your need, I believe it is worth investing, even for a short time. It will certainly help to know and show your environment in a better way to anyone (in my case, the managers).

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Show our managers what we are talking about, when we explain our environment, about the numbers, and the different services we use within our structure. This tool manages to make this palpable for them, and helps in convincing them, when they need to make a decision to purchase a specific service, for example.

 ### 34. Create self-explanatory and visually fantastic looking diagrams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vaibhav S. | Senior Technical Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

Ability to create self-explanatory diagrams using multitude of templates as well as creating them from scratch. As Management consultants we are trained to be articulate and have clarity in thought process and messaging. Cloudcraft brings these same traits to your diagrams.
Ability to drag and drop required architecture components, switch between 2D/3D as well incorporating the budget/cost side of things for all the component used is fantastic.
Re-using the available templates gives you the ability to create fairly complex and loaded architecture diagrams in few clicks allowing you to focus on solutioning.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

Not necessarily dislike but I am not sure if Cloudcraft allows for integrated team work. I have typically used it to create visualizations around architectural solutions and it works fine.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a Management consultant, providing the complete picture of the technological solutions with minimum words is vital. Your diagrams need to tell a story even when you are not presenting them.
Using cloudcraft has allowed me to do just that. I can focus on creating scalable and reliable solutions while cloudcraft allows me to quickly put my thoughts into diagrams, quickly iterate/revise when required and easily share them across.
It not only saves time creating complex diagrams but also allows you to provide complete picture in terms of solution (what components services will be used) , what is the budget required.
These are the things that help us be better prepared while presenting to C level executives.

 ### 35. Cloudcraft is an esencial product when you start using AWS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hamza A. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

Cloudcraft is very specific when its coming to features of some AWS product, you can customize your selection, so at the end you get reasonable estimations that are super difficult to get from AWS calculator, and especially not with that level of details.

You can also export your diagrams, access them online, or even store them in Google Drive, Dropbox, etc...

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

Not dislike, but a nice to have the support of other Cloud provider, and also a comparison tool, might be useful to decide the selection of the provider from case to case

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Have the diagram of my whole infrastructure in an intuitive way that help me and my team to collaborate on it.
It is good to have a visual archive somewhere, where you just access and continue working on it

The price estimation is not accurate 100% by AWS but with Cloudcraft we have always in-front of you how much the actual infra might cost you

 ### 36. Excellent tool for quick diagrams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

Great tool with a good range of AWS services built in.

Easy to use drag and drop functionality allows you to link up services and organise them in a clear diagram.

Exporting is made very easy and means I can generate technical diagrams in a matter of minutes instead of hours.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

The only thing I sometimes don't like is the way arrows connect between services. They have to connect at certain points and, when diagrams get complicated, you want to show the arrows at specific positions. The only way to do this is to place the arrow near the service, which then loses the direct connection. Other than that, it's a tool I use for all of my diagrams.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

Come up with a unified set of colors and patterns to use.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to create clear diagrams to aid technical documentation. The diagrams can be used to help explain, sometimes, complicated service architecture in a straightforward way.

It helps further team understanding as all of our diagrams are in the same format and use the same iconography.

Being able to understand costs easily with Cloudcraft helps drive forward development and allows technical decisions to be made faster.

 ### 37. Solid tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bart H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

Clean, easy to use modeling tools that are very easy for both stake holders and developers to understand. Cloudcraft makes it so much easier to understand your AWS setup and architecture compared to swimming through your AWS account screens or static diagrams and documentation. It's light years beyond what Amazon provides. This doesn't completely replace the need for detailed system documentation, but it sure does get close!

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

Sometimes diagrams that use the "Live" feature could be a little cleaner, but honestly I'm almost always surprised at how clean and readable they are. Waaay easier to visualize your AWS setup than anything that Amazon provides.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Documentation, training, architecture discussions, cost estimation and optimization.

 ### 38. Easiest way to make pretty AWS diagrams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan T. | Head of Cloud Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

Creates very professional looking diagrams in a unique style often seen in AWS architectures. Ability to export it to a transparent background makes it a really useful tool for bringing into slide decks and the likes.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

Its missing a few features, occasionally its frustrating there isn't much in the way of free text options for annotating diagrams, it'd be useful to have the ability to make items disabled, i would use that feature to highlight specific areas of the wider architecture by disabling/enabling them.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

Easy to get setup and experiment with since its just a webapp... just give it a go.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sharing cloud architectures to customers and within the company.

 ### 39. An incredibly neat tool for architecture and planning work

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diego C. | Technical Founder and Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

When first shown in the company by a colleague, Cloudcraft blown away our minds because many reasons, namely the incredible stylish graphics, the ease of use, the accuracy and detail of UI, the availability of components.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

We're not heavy users so I cannot really comment on this, but as of today we haven't had a real issue with Cloudcraft.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

Adopt it as fast as you can, learning curve is not steep at all, and you'll get almost immediate results while raising the bar of your internal architecture efforts.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Describing an architecture clearly enough to be put in use is frequently a tough job, and Cloudcraft definitely helps with it.

 ### 40. Sets My Diagrams Apart

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wesley B. | Director of Platform Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

The visual differences from standard diagrams help my work stand out in the field of consulting.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

CloudCraft makes it clunky to integrate non-standard pieces of architecture and non-AWS services cleanly in a way that feels visually unified. Maybe the ability to skin the parts of the 3D pieces separately or something...it doesn't need to be really easy, I'm happy to spend time making it look good, but it needs to be able to clean up without looking totally incongruous.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Diagramming has always been a boring task with boring results, but immediately I find people are engaged when I show them diagrams I've made in CloudCraft.

 ### 41. Great to visualize, budgeting is helpful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mehmet Y. | Manager - Architecture and Risk, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

I enjoy the budgeting feature that allows me to ballpark an architecture I am building. Also like the snazzy 3d shapes.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

More support for other cloud providers and generic hybrid architectures would be preferable to me. If you do it right, a customer might be able to define their own object types. Supporting budget calculations would be an awesome bonus on top of that and would be enabled by that.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

The budgeting feature isn't immediately obvious, but you can set costs for certain objects allowing you to

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I enjoy using Cloudcraft to help visualize architecture and give some up front ballpark cost estimations.

 ### 42. Awesome tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul M. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

I make designs with Cloudcraft every month for my AWS environment. It's a great tool. I also use it to do some simple cost projections for what my environments will cost when I get them stood up.

People really like the way the designs look when I include them in our proposals.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

I wish I could model other clouds like Azure or GCP. Overall it's a great product.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

There is a 2D mode you can toggle into. Also, you can export the images without the grid.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm using it to visualize cloud environments when building proposals for customers.

 ### 43. Great tool needing little to no introduction

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

I needed to visualise a complex array of infrastructure to the wider business and allow investors an understanding of what work was actually going into. Cloudcraft was one of my first picks mainly because it was very easy to recognise it had everything needed to complete the project, without finding out half-way through using the product.

Integration to visualise existing architecture is also a nice plus!

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

Some objects not available, but nothing I needed. Export tools can sometimes be a little finicky.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Turning a boring technical specification into something visually appealing and easy to understand :)

 ### 44. Cloudcraft helps me express my architectural ideas

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michal S. | CEO & Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

It is very easy to describe complex architecture just by clicking and dragging things around. I like the premade components ready to use as well as the ability to add my own pieces of infrastructure to the chart.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

Sometimes the arrows are not stitching correctly to the right places of different components.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

It is very easy to start. Whenever you have an idea of an infrastructure you want to deploy, start drawing it in Cloudcraft first.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sharing infrastructure ideas with others to discuss the pros and cons of such a solution before we implement it.

 ### 45. A very useful and convenient product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Viet L. | SDE II, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

The feature I like best is visualization and easy to use.
Cost calculation is also a very helpful feature.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

There is nothing I think it is the downside. However, it is very good if the animation is supported. For instance, the flow of data could be animated by moving arrows.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

Give it a try, you will soon realize how much it makes your life easier.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cloudcraft help me visualize the infrastructure of our system and make it easy to understand for stakeholders.
It saves time and strengthens my presentation in a very intuitive way.

**Official Response from McKinley Padier:**

> Many thanks for the review, Viet!

 ### 46. Intuitive and easy to use UI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

Cloudcraft has a huge number of stencils to choose from. The user interface is intuitive and easy to use. I create diagrams for a number of the POC projects that I work on and Cloudcraft is my first choice to create these diagrams.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

There isn't a lot to dislike about Cloudcraft. The only downside is really screen real estate on my laptop.

**Recommendations to others considering Cloudcraft:**

Cloudcraft is easy to get started with. Just give it a try.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cloudcraft allows me to create the diagrams quickly for some of the AWS architecture projects that I work on.

 ### 47. Cloudcraft is simply amazing compared to any others.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael H. | Founder, Developer, Designer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

Cloudcraft can connect to your Amazon Web Services account and automatically help build/display your diagram of services and even more, show your expenses by using AWS API they can calculate the price of your current or if you are building a new development stack, the cost that it would be. I use this all the time for clients and they are just amazed by the quality of work.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

Honestly, I wish there were just a few more templates than there are to get started, which is no big deal right now.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None

 ### 48. Cloud Done Right

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cheralathan N. | Principal Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

This is the one of the best tool I recently evaluated and came across in planning, visualizing your cloud services and avoid expensive design concerns later.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

The Pro plan seems to be little steep pricing a month as this wouldn't used from design aspects quite often, or until you plan to just buy and use for certain intended time and pause and come back.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Designing AWS Cloud Architectures for use cases and applications and its so good to all business stack holders on the same page and walk through the end-to-end design

 ### 49. Best Visualization for AWS Cloud

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miguel R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

Cloudcraft has allowed us to have a professional finish when it comes to generating infrastructure schemes.
It has also been especially useful saving time, when obtaining the estimated cost of an infrastructure.
To top it all off, AWS syncing is super useful, although it could still be improved a lot. We are considering expanding the license we currently have.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

The cost of the license is somewhat high, especially if you want 5 people to have access. Synchronization with AWS can still be improved.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improvement in the realization of cloud infrastructure schemes

 ### 50. Creates good looking diagrams but is a little limited on scope.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew B. | CEO/President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Cloudcraft?**

Nice clean unique design. Allows for a different and unique diagram that helps engagement. Nothing looks quite like the CloudCraft diagrams. It's also nice being able to see some pricing information.

**What do you dislike about Cloudcraft?**

A little hard to work with and doesn't have a ton of resource types yet. I wish the pricing information was more complete in terms of AWS services that can be diagrammed. Wish it exported to CloudFormation.

**What problems is Cloudcraft solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using it to help visualize architecture with application development teams. For some reason this just grabs people more than basic icons and lines.

**Official Response from McKinley Padier:**

> Thanks for the review, Matthew!
