CloudApper Tip Management Solution Reviews & Product Details

CloudApper Tip Management Solution automates tip pooling, distribution, and gratuity reporting for tipped-wage businesses, connecting directly to both the POS system and the HR or payroll platform to eliminate manual reconciliation and spreadsheet-based calculations. It handles the full workflow — from pulling raw tip and time data at the end of each shift to syncing approved distribution amounts to individual employee timecards — without manual entry at any step. The solution is built around the organization's specific pooling rules rather than applying generic logic. Tip distribution calculations factor in hours worked, job type, shift, location, pay code, sales thresholds, minimum wage thresholds, and voluntary sharing arrangements. This makes it suitable for operations with complex multi-role or multi-location pooling structures that standard payroll tools are not designed to handle accurately. The solution also handles minimum wage compliance calculations automatically, flagging exceptions before payroll closes so HR teams can address them without last-minute corrections. What it handles: Automatic tip and time data capture from connected POS and HR systems at shift end Configurable rules engine supporting pooling logic by job type, shift, location, hours worked, pay code, sales thresholds, and voluntary sharing arrangements Cash and credit card tip separation with custom POS data and API support Manager review and approval workflow with a full audit trail per employee and per pay period Direct timecard sync of approved tip amounts to connected HR systems as pay codes — no flat-file exports or manual entry Minimum wage and tip credit compliance calculations with automatic exception flagging IRS-ready gratuity reporting with per-employee, per-shift transaction logs Multi-location support with separate rule sets per venue and centralized oversight Broad HCM compatibility including UKG, Workday, Oracle, Dayforce, and SAP SuccessFactors
