I love that Collaborate Ultra is made for teaching. It's not just a conferencing platform. It's not for business. It's not like Teams, trying to be everything to everyone. I dislike that it sets off the privacy settings in Mac, and it's a pain to explain how to get the Mac to do screenshare. I also dislike that you can't pre-prepare a poll to run in your class. Subpar video quality and drawing tools, very low maximum of 4 simultaneous webcams. No speed changing option for recordings. I hate that it randomly crashes for absolutely no reason, and your internet connection has to be impeccable just for it to run somewhat okay. Blackboard Collaborate allows learners to do exactly that - collaborate. Learners can use breakout rooms and interact with others using polls and chat. They can also share files as well! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Surprisingly easy to use and easy to combine with other elements of Blackboard, including the ability to use documents and files for students and professors.
