## About Class
Class is the platform organizations choose when live learning needs to work. Most teams rely on video conferencing tools that were built for meetings, not instruction. Class fills the gap with a virtual classroom that gives instructors the structure, control, and engagement tools they need to run real learning at scale. Layered on top of Zoom and Microsoft Teams, Class is purpose-built for learning while keeping instructors and learners in the familiar platforms they already rely on every day. Instructors can set up sessions faster with templates and LMS integrations. During live instruction, they can see what learners are doing, guide participation, manage breakout rooms with clarity, and keep everyone focused with interactive tools. After each session, analytics reveal what worked, who engaged, and where support is needed. Class delivers a consistent experience for every learner, whether they join a corporate training program, a higher education course, or a K-12 session. It fits into existing workflows, supports accessibility needs, and reduces the operational lift of running repeatable, high-quality instruction. Organizations use Class when they want live learning that is more than a meeting. They use it when training must deliver outcomes, when instructors need visibility and control, and when learners deserve an environment built for them. Class makes that possible.

## Class Reviews
  ### 1. Usable but not as useful

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason K. | Human Resources Developer, Human Resources, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Class?**

I like the way that different programs are able to be incorporated. It's simple to use breakout rooms and use polls within the program. I also like that all the tools that you can use are on one page.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

The entire program can be a bit sloppy at times. The video quality can often be choppy. The audio sometimes can go in and out as well. The price of Blackboard Collaborate is a bit higher than other options in the same class.

**Recommendations to others considering Class:**

If you have the option to choose any program for your organization, I would definitely shop around, as there are others that can do similar or the same things for a better price.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm not currently using Blackboard Collaborate. I've used it in the past, but my current employer has it's own system. When I used Blackboard Collaborate, it solved our problem of holding new employee orientation when we were unable to do so in person.

  ### 2. Easier than easy to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrés S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2020

**What do you like best about Class?**

What I like the best is the fact that you can figure it out everything in this application in a couple of minutes, each clic is an answer. The design is quite clear and very intuitive, maybe that is the reason of the success of this platform among others that are being using because of the COVID - 19. You won't have to be worried about the fluency of the app and switching between menus is just smooth, lag does not exist in this app.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

Maybe the amount of internet that it uses, sometimes the strength of the internet get lower and lower, but it should be solved if your internet connection is enough.

**Recommendations to others considering Class:**

Blackboard collaborate is the definitive app that universities and schools around the world must use, it must be in the list of priorities for virtual, semi presencial and all types of education outside the classroom.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm solving my studies, actually now on maybe virtual education will increase, and that's because of this application, it just makes easy the experience of learning and teaching, some of the teachers are elder people that are not very familiar with new systems and technology.

  ### 3. Blackboard Collaborate is a user friendly meeting space

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** La-Tonya D. | Professor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2020

**What do you like best about Class?**

I like that Blackboard Collaborate allows users to meet in a shared space within the LMS platform. This allows for meetings to occur in a space that users are already familiar with. As an instructional tool students gain access from the moment that they are enrolled in the course. For the purpose of synchronous instruction it is a wonderful and highly useful tool that is very user friendly.
Features that I enjoy the most are the ease at which meeting sessions can be created, the ability to repeat sessions and therefore eliminate the need to setup recurring sessions, the ability to allow for participants to have early entry into a meeting at intervals up to an hour before start time and the ability to share attendance within the Learning Management System.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

I currently do not have any dislikes I have found this tool to be exceptional in meeting my instructional needs.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blackboard Collaborate has allowed me to maintain synchronous instruction within the university LMS. Especially useful is the whiteboard feature which allows the instructor to teach material by writing on a "virtual board." Blackboard Collaborate also has the capability to record each session. This is especially useful to those who wish to review a missed lecture.

  ### 4. Great for education with a few blips

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea M. A. | English Teacher, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2018

**What do you like best about Class?**

I like how I can interact with my students via video, voice, and chat. Blackboard allows for me to block chat for some or all participants, or to open it up to everyone. There are many ways to customize my experience as well as everyone else's.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

Sometimes, participants struggle to enter sessions. I also do not like that once I load a PowerPoint presentation, I cannot share video I have put into the presentation, but instead I have to use application or web sharing.

**Recommendations to others considering Class:**

Give yourself plenty of time when loading classes and meetings into Blackboard Collaborate. Expect glitches and stay patient. The software doesn't work the same for all users given differentiation of systems.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communicating with participants as well as teaching them to present using BlackBoard.

  ### 5. Blackboard improved over time

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Class?**

I like that I can set up a link and send it directly to student emails so there is no link to share out. I like that there aren't a ton of options for things because it makes it easy to manage.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

We've had issues with sound off and on. If I remove a student from sessions they can't come In for 10 minutes.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can teach and conduct reading tests online. I can record lessons and interact with virtual students.

  ### 6. Did the job well

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Class?**

The level of flexibility it gave to control the way interactions with students can be done, for both the TA and Professor.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

Sometimes the UI felt clunky and clicking on certain elements did not register well enough to be confident that something was happening.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Making breakout rooms for more of a hands-on approach in the curriculum for students who had specific doubts.
- Using live polls was a feature often used to let the professor know if there was any confusion in the material they were teaching.
- Scheduling "walk-in" office hours in a virtual setting really helped out in the 2020 pandemic.

  ### 7. Using Blackboard Collaborate

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** René Galloway J. | Program Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Class?**

I like the easy use methods of Collaborate.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

I actually don't dislike anything of it.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am helping my students with ease of use.

  ### 8. Online courses

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Class?**

I like that students have the option to indicate their hand is raised during class. I can also post a mini survey during class as an understanding check. You are also able to create breakout groups so students can participate in small group discussion.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

In order for me to observation breakout groups I have to join each individual group. That means I cannot easily move from group to group. Also, I cannot read what the group members previously posted in the small group discussion. Also, if a student comes late to class then they are not automatically added to a group so you need to keep an eye to make sure you don't have an stragglers or else they will just be left in the main room. If everyone has their microphone on then there is also a ton of feedback.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to have real-time interactions with students while have class online. I can share my screen to go through lecture and answer any questions students have. Students can either raise their hands and I call them on and they turn on their microphones or they can write out their questions in the group chat. One unexpected element to blackboard collaborate is that students really embraced the used of emojis to express their feelings.

  ### 9. Blackboard Collaborate for Education

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arielle R. | Manager, Pricing & Planning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Class?**

Blackboard Collaborate is great for virtual learning especially at a time like this when many students are learning virtually.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

The share screen feature does not always work.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blackboard Collaborative solves the issue of students and teachers not being able to be in the same room together. It makes you feel like you are all together!

  ### 10. Online Education

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2020

**What do you like best about Class?**

**Recommendations to others considering Class:**

Great software to use in educational setting

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to participate in my course lesson and learn material visual by watching my teacher and actively learning new material.

  ### 11. Virtual Learning for Elementary School Students

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Class?**

It's secure and you're able to get onto Zoom meetings with the teacher through Blackboard

**What do you dislike about Class?**

It's hard for elementary school students to remember the steps to navigate these online learning tools without help from an adult

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're able to communicate with teacher and look back at past projects and assignments

  ### 12. Smart Tool for Education Sector - Remote Learning is becoming necessary.

  ### 14. More Than a Webinar, Bb Collaborate is a Teaching Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2020

**What do you like best about Class?**

Blackboard Collaborate has become our community college's go-to tool for many reasons:
*It is already present in each Blackboard class, so faculty can easily set up a Collaborate room for synchronous class sessions, student presentations in an online environment, virtual office hours, or small group meetings when students at a distance need to work on a project together. You may think any webinar tool can do this, but the presence of the whiteboard, file sharing, and breakout rooms makes it much more robust for teaching.

Almost all of our tutoring departments now have rooms set up for students who cannot get to campus to attend mandatory tutoring sessions for their classes, or for those who just need a little help. The tutor just sends the student the guest link to the room, and they set an appointment to meet. The students can share their work, allowing the tutor to see where they need assistance, and can make markup comments on the work for visual clarity. The sessions can also be recorded for the student to view later if they need to re-visit the topics covered.

More an more of our formerly ITV classes are switching to Collaborate, as they see the benefit to the students.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

Having used the previous version of Collaborate before they left the Java platform, there is not much I dislike...if you used it then, try it again! However, I do miss the availability to invite more than one section of a class to a scheduled session. We do not have SAAS, so I am not sure if this is available in that version of Collaborate, but it was nice if we needed to hold an orientation or have a guest speaker to have the ability to invite more than one section to attend.

**Recommendations to others considering Class:**

If you are considering a video conferencing tool as a teaching institution, this is the best, in my opinion.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Meeting students' needs where they are is the most important thing. Cutting down on travel costs for faculty meetings is another. Faculty from our two distant campuses often join meetings via Collaborate when they couldn't get away to drive to attend otherwise.

  ### 15. Blackboard

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2020

**What do you like best about Class?**

I have used Blackboard Collaborate over that last several years. I have always found it to be easy to use and very user friendly. If you know the term "if it ain't broke don't fix it". Why should I use another one.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

I did not see any negatives. It is all positives.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to communicate with each other and view each other's work.

  ### 16. Works well for small groups

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2020

**What do you like best about Class?**

I like that it works for presentations and small group discussions

**What do you dislike about Class?**

I don’t like that it loses functionality when groups get larger. It’s difficult to manage bigger groups

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes leading virtual workshops and classes easier. It allows for face-to-face interaction even while virtual

  ### 17. Blackboard collaborate Review

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2020

**What do you like best about Class?**

It's easy to use and the feature that i like a lot is the breakout rooms for any group work.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

It's very pricey and sometimes the video quality is bad.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When this pandemic started, our college shifted to this tool.

  ### 18. Professional video chat service

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Class?**

I like that Blackboard provides a professional platform with Blackboard Collaborate for instructors and students to voice, video, and type chat. I like that I can add in new students so that I can create groups or meet individually with a student. I also like that it is possible to just voice chat or just type chat since I do not always have the opportunity to video chat with students and many students do not wish to video chat.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

Similar to Blackboard Learn, I find Blackboard Collaborate a bit difficult to use and not particularly user intuitive. I prefer using the Google Hangouts platform, though a bit less professional, because of how easy to use it is for my classes. However, as a student coming into the class, it is easy to use since they can simply use the four buttons at the bottom for video, voice, and type chatting.

**Recommendations to others considering Class:**

My main suggestion for those using Blackboard Collaborate is for instructors to get familiar with it before using it in a class, as it can be a bit difficult to start off with.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am teaching online classes and Blackboard Collaborate is providing a way for me to interact with my students in and out of class. One of the most helpful parts of Blackboard collaborate for me with online classes is the ability to schedule meeting times, meaning I can set "office hours" for students to talk to me via video or type chat.

  ### 19. Flexible

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Class?**

The options and user interface are great.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

The design is less user friendly than some other programs for beginners.

**Recommendations to others considering Class:**

It has many user options that other E-learning programs do not.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is great for schooling.

  ### 20. A better Upgrade from their old Rooms

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Class?**

Collaborate has grown over the years and is almost to a really reliable product. I like that there is now a browser based version and that you can have breakout rooms! The polls, quizzes, and other functionalities have really improved the product.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

There are frequent needs to update your system at times to allow for this product to run. If you do not have IT privileges on your machine you might have to work with an IT person at your job. The web based version seems to avoid most of these downfalls.

**Recommendations to others considering Class:**

The solution really depends on the money you have to implement.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Meeting virtually with many other teachers and being able to conduct quizzes/polls.

  ### 21. Productive online learning environment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Class?**

Easy communication and excellent interactive learning experience between instructors and students.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

It doesn't have mobile app support nor is it new tech friendly.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problems related to expanding the online learning experience during these unprecedented times. It allows the necessary tools to improve online classroom experiences.

  ### 22. Great product which allows me to connect remotely with colleagues and students

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel H. | Business Development Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Class?**

The ability to integrate it in Moodle course areas, so that there's no untidy logging in using passwords. The software is relatively cheap for a license and does everything we need it to do (sharing content with students, forming break out groups, recording sessions, etc)

**What do you dislike about Class?**

There's not much I don't like. I guess if it was free, then that would be amazing, but other than that there's not much to fault!

**Recommendations to others considering Class:**

Use it! It's Great!

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Distance learning and ensuring that we can connect with all our students, no matter what their study needs.

  ### 23. Collaborate is easy to use for web conferencing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** sofia b. | Programmer Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Class?**

It is easy to use an end user who has already opened a web conference

**What do you dislike about Class?**

It can be confusing when trying to present and share your screen if multiple users are on that conference.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Able to communicate well with others who are working from home and want to join in on a conference

  ### 24. Overall a great platform, but there are disconnection issues.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan T. | Lead Instructor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Class?**

I love the ability to share screens and write on a blank whiteboard to collaborate in real-time. I also appreciate the intuitive moderator functions so I can chat with students and they can raise their hands if
I'm in another room with another student. The file upload section is usually very fast and the PDF documents look nice when I'm sharing them with the students. Audio and video are usually decent.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

When I am working with students in a live session, they often lose connection. This interrupts the flow of their learning, which is unfortunate because they are only on one hour at a time with us and every minute is valuable. I also dislike the eraser feature because it confuses the students. They think it will function as a spot-treatment for mistakes, but it actually erases the whole page.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mathnasium is a math-only tutoring company that serves kids from kindergarten to calculus. Students work with our specialized curriculum to fill in gaps in their math foundational knowledge. Blackboard allows us to work with students virtually and give them the same experience as they would have in-center. This is beneficial to students who live far away (one of our students lives in Belgium!), whose parents work and don't have transportation, or have medical reasons they cannot physically come learn with us. Blackboard has provided a great alternative to many families, especially those who have lots of after school commitments.

  ### 25. Blackboard Collaborate

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food Production | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Class?**

We use to distribute training guides/forms for employees to fill out. Very easy setup and simple to use.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

We've had the tool crash a few times. We need a more stable tool so we had to switch applications.

**Recommendations to others considering Class:**

Once all the mini bugs are fixed. This could become a great tool to use within the business.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Very easy to setup and distribute training for our employees to review.

  ### 26. Blackboard Collaborate Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Class?**

What I find most helpful is being able to meet with my online classes virtually snd in real time. As an online instructor, Blackboard Collaborate allows me to meet with distance students at mutually agreeable times. Students can also record virtual class presentations.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

What I dislike about the new Blackboard Collaborate is that the grade tool has been removed from it. We used to be able to add Collaborate sessions in the grade book but now it’s gone.

**Recommendations to others considering Class:**

Make sure you complete the tutorials before using Blackboard Collaborate. In my experience this program works best for me using Google Chrome.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blackboard Collaborate has impacted my work by allowing me to schedule virtual meeting sessions at any time.

  ### 27. Blackboard for Education

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Class?**

I liked the various options available for teaching 0 blogs, discussion threads, pre-recorded lectures, the Wimba classroom.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

As what I was using was for part of a whole degree program, I disliked when the various classes were not standardized. The tool worked fine on its own but caused confusion for students and faculty when not used in a standardized way.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to teach a variety of students across a large geographical area.

  ### 28. Blackboard Collab

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Class?**

It's a great way do an out of class review session. Students can participate via the chat session so that just the volume is from the instructor which is nice. The instructor can show multiple screens and write in real time or use a mouse to point to things. It's very user friendly as well.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

Sometimes we have had a few connection issues while having a live review session. The sound will cut in and out briefly as well or there may be a brief lag. However, it hasn't happened much and usually isn't long.

**Recommendations to others considering Class:**

I would highly recommend this tool! it's a great resource.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a very nice way to do a review or study session outside of class time and the instructor can record the session and make it available for students who missed the session to watch later.

  ### 29. easy to navigate

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you dislike about Class?**

it can be hard to find units or modules

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 30. Sometimes fine, sometimes finicky

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Class?**

When Blackboard Collaborate works, it is easy, and meetings can run very smoothly. It gets the job done. The tablet app worked well for me. Unfortunately my "likes" about this program are minimal. I had a lot of issues with web access - see below.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

I have encountered numerous glitches when using Blackboard Collaborate and I found it frustrating on many occasions. Launching via web has proven inconsistent and I missed meetings and classes because of that. I have found the audio scratchy and screen shares/presentations and messaging to be basic and bare bones, and not really aesthetically pleasing either. Not fun to use. My biggest grip is the difficulty connecting though, it is not acceptable to miss scheduled conferences due to tech glitches. I am aware that the way I have utilized it and had this experience may simply be because of how the administrators on the other end created the content for the classes or meetings. Nonetheless I really have had extensive use with it, and my experience has been pretty consistent.

**Recommendations to others considering Class:**

I would recommend that you confirm that anyone participating in your Blackboard Collaborate sessions has technical requirements and accessibility well in advance in order to avoid problems with this.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Does not apply to me - I have not chosen this product to use on my own accord. I have participated in its use many times but never organized a meeting through it.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Class?**

Chat feature is helpful for when video/audio connection is bad or if there are microphone/background noise issues for a particular user. I found that it was particularly well-suited as a medium for lecture-based distance learning.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

For meeting or small-group based uses, there is some confusion in conducting the meeting with the audio delay that sometimes exists, which has multiple people trying to speak at the same time or weird gaps when answering questions. Additionally, for use in lecture based settings it is almost impossible for any distance learners to hear from the audience who is not wearing a microphone.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A VERY good solution for presentations or lecture based activities where there is one main speaker. the ability to record the session for others to replay at a future date is also supremely helpful for non-synchronous participation is particularly useful.

We used Blackboard to host team meetings with our remote workers. It is very robust and allows "passing the ball" from the organizer to other members in order for them to show their screen or prepared slides e.t.c.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

There isn't really anything to dislike this program can take a lickin and keep on tickin!

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used it to host "team meetings" with our remote workings and this works much better than Facetime or Skype e.t.c. it has been great

**What do you like best about Class?**

When I started my job for Apple, blackboard was the app we used for our training sessions. It was pretty useful because we could all collaborate together and learn at the same time. The trainers were able to see us and hear us while also showing us various slides to teach us.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

Sometimes blackboard would crash and we would have to reload it and join the rooms again

**Recommendations to others considering Class:**

  ### 38. Blackboard Collaborate for Review Sessions with Professors

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Class?**

When using the software for review sessions with professors, it allows you feel like you're having a classroom experience, but you can be in the comfort of your home!

**What do you dislike about Class?**

It sometimes takes a minute or two to join the session.

**Recommendations to others considering Class:**

Remind students to join the collaborate sessions a few minutes early before the scheduled time, as it can take a few minutes to join.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This product facilitates student learning. I very much like the ability for sessions to be recorded and available for reference later.

  ### 39. Blackboard Organized Assignments

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Class?**

I liked best about Blackboard the organization of assignments, and that each and every class utilized Blackboard to show what was due, and, at times, what the scores were.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

I was not immediately familiar with blackboard or that the assignments were largely being put there, and I primarily had planned or had the expectation that the teachers would have shown that first, and not be primarily in blackboard.

**Recommendations to others considering Class:**

It seems to be a good program

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There were some options to go over assignments and instructions on blackboard that stayed thier for later review as well.

  ### 40. Collaborate has its limitations.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathan R. | Instructional Technologist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2018

**What do you like best about Class?**

I enjoy the ability to be able set up one Collaborate room for multiple courses. Additionally, the ability to share content and the white board helps with visuals.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

My biggest gripe with BB Collaborate is how it is cumbersome if you do not have it in a course shell. I believe that being able to access it freely would allow it to become more efficient. The learning curve for setting up rooms and sessions is a little more steep than I would like. One of biggest hurdles in implementing technology across a college campus is ensuring that it will be easy to learn. Studies show that overly difficult tech can hinder student performance and faculty buy in. Therefore, having a difficult virtual meeting system hurts the overall mission of providing quality online education. If the users are tech saavy, then it usually is not an issue. However, it can be an issue when working with non-traditional students who have not grown up with technology in the "classroom."

**Recommendations to others considering Class:**

Be aware that you this product is best used within the BB LMS for college courses. If you are looking for an external virtual meeting system, then you would be wise to look into something more akin to Zoom or Skype.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're using it to help faculty reach out to their students virtually. The big benefit being that it's integrated within Blackboard. Faculty tend to be hesitant of employing tools that exist externally from Blackboard--like Zoom. Since Collaborate is within Blackboard, faculty tend to gravitate toward it a little more easier.

  ### 41. Distance Learning with Blackboard Collaborate

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Class?**

I like the flexibility of live interaction-- the class can interact via video/audio/text chat, whiteboard, polls. We often use break-out groups for smaller group discussion.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

The newest update my university implemented removed the small profile pictures of users in the chat interface. I miss that way of feeling more connected with other students.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to complete distance learning courses that take place in real time and have the potential to feel nearly as interactive and productive as face-to-face courses.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Class?**

It is easy to use the software if you are already familiar with the blackboard site for keeping track of specific classes.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

There is a lot of extra words and hyperlinks on the page that aren't necessarily relevant if you are just trying to use blackboard collaborate for its basic use.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using this website to connect with other students and professors.

  ### 46. Blackboard is great for highschool kids and college, user friendly

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2019

I think the best part is how to search for grades

**What do you dislike about Class?**

Sometimes work that is saved on blackboard cannot always be viewed by instructor. Time restraint due to loss of connectivity

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Blackboard was used during discussion forums at the university, we could discuss topics and join in on any day or time

  ### 47. Comprehensible software

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Class?**

I enjoy that it is so simple to navigate this software.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

I think the layouts could be arranged to be a bit more easy to navigate.

**Recommendations to others considering Class:**

Ensure you prepare yourself to navigate this software, but it is well organized.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes it easy to organize and collaborate with others.

  ### 48. Great if you want a place to collaborate with classmates

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2018

**What do you like best about Class?**

I like that it promotes being able to work on group projects in the digital age and it gives the opportunity to join a class if they are online.

**What do you dislike about Class?**

What makes it difficult is that if you are working on a group project and would like to use the BB collaborate as a platform to meet, only one group from your class can use it. If two groups sign on at the same time, there is no way to separate the chat rooms.

**What problems is Class solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating an Inbound Marketing Strategy for a company.

  ### 49. Easy to use
