There were pretty sweeping changes on the move from IMA to FMA which brought some instability initially and many loved features from the widely used XenApp 6.5 were lost but now many of the best features from 6.5 are back in the product and there is greater stability. The protocol is still rock solid. PVS rocks! WEM has been a very welcome addition and no one does published applications better which is what the largest number of our remote user base. We get performant virtual desktops for those who need it and awesome published applications for the others. **What do you dislike about Citrix DaaS?** I would love if the reboot schedule within the tool was improved. For 24/7 operations, it is not adequate. It would be better if we could tag certain machines to reboot on a given day and to have them drain over an entire day rather than within the timeframe of the reboot. Adding Machines to Delivery Groups is frustrating. Please allow us to select the machines we want to add from the UI rather than auto adding the next available machine in numeric\alphabetical order. The metrics in Citrix Director are not reliable. **Recommendations to others considering Citrix DaaS:** Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops is still best in breed. If you require published applications, it is by far and away the best solution and in my experience most users in an organization can work fine with published apps and don't need a full desktop. **What problems is Citrix DaaS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Enable work from home without the constraints of a VPN. Delivering virtual applications to users on the internal network and externally in a mostly seamless and unified way. Getting around application compatibility issues on the physical desktops in some cases. Centralizing and improving success rate for app delivery. ### 2. So after a particular duration of inactivity, Its get logged out and you again need to login to access your work apps. It does have it's drawbacks. For instance when we develop a newer image for the users to use a lot of time it tends to break something on the end user end. Providing a real user friendly interface for the end-user which makes easier to convince everyone in the organization to use Citrix Workplace. If your organization is a large one, then most probably to choose Citrix as they are the first company that introduce v-app and v-desktop. It will worry-free integration. Centralize the administration of these services for a better management. and the most important one, to make those services accessible anywhere, anytime for the users. Anything that exists, can usually be done remotely, except for the actual installation of the software. Even then, if you have an SCCM that's no problem. But inside of the citrix environment, you can control all the variables except the internet connection. **What do you dislike about Citrix DaaS?** I find that it's not as user friendly as it could be? Something to make it more obvious they're inside of citrix. I find myself explaining a lot that there are definitely differences between outside and inside of citrix. It does seem to go over a lot of peoples heads though. Generally I tell them to look for the tab at the top that will take them outside of citrix. **What problems is Citrix DaaS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Security is the biggest thing. Users are always locking themselves out of their computers, losing them, or getting them stolen. For a high-security area, we need to protect our client data. This is the best way to do it since we can lock it down at any point and any methods of getting information out is more restricted. Turned out to be a real necessity during the COVID-19 pandemic when we all had to work from home unexpectedly with little time to prepare anything to take with us. Since many of us did not have our work computers at home with us when the decision was made to work from home, we were left for several weeks-months to use our home computers but our work applications. Without CITRIX this would have been impossible. As healthcare providers our work couldn't stop due to the pandemic and we needed to be available to our patients even when we were unable to be present in the office. Having access to our work applications was imperative during this time and allowed us to continue providing medical care for our patients throughout the entire pandemic when we were unable to be present in the office. ### 11. It has an extremely complex interface and very well trained to use as it offers a good use of it to navigate safely and with well established information so you can better understand the software. **What do you dislike about Citrix DaaS?** I have had problems as sometimes the updates do not update automatically which is a complication and waste of time as you have to update manually on site every two minutes and new orders from the company could be lost. Another problem it contains is the support since it usually takes a long time to respond and even at the end of so much waiting they don't respond and don't solve the problems which I would like them to improve that support and schedule it to respond and solve as it should for the clients. **Recommendations to others considering Citrix DaaS:** I recommend this software as a remote access for you to perform or work on your projects or pending tasks from any device as it allows you to remotely log in and complete the to-do list you have in an organized and easy way for your tasks which allows you to improve your business on the tasks and work from any device anywhere you are. I also use it to easily access your organization's emails from your personal laptop where you can check emails, documents and take advantage of other organizational services while out of the office. **What problems is Citrix DaaS solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use it as a platform for colleagues, they can always work as it offers applications where they can access remotely to perform work without interruption and improve the company as it will always be in motion work due to these methods which will always be working from where they are in any device and time where they can finish the tasks and have the use of customer emails well corrected and take control over emails from their personal laptops outside the office. ### 29. It is easier to hit the servers I need for investigations. I also like the feature of logging off and returning to the same place I was working before I logged off the system in some instances. I like the way the UI is set up for easy access to specific servers that are available. There is nothing too fancy about the UI which I enjoy. It gets straight to the point for what I need it for. **What do you dislike about Citrix DaaS?** This may be due to the database, but in certain situations the receiver stops working. Especially if you are accessing receiver through the web page portal instead of the receiver itself. I also notice that in some situations a user may have several sessions running in the background which causes issues when trying to restart or kill the sessions. I have to have two screens open at all times so I may view my emails and documents through Citrix and my daily programs on my laptop screen. The support team is great. I would recommend to use this for future developments and go live. So its really helpful for me to continue with my development in one Virtual machine and running my program in another virtual machine which really saves time else I would have to wait till the running of my program is over and then I can continue with development.
