In February 2026, after a 1.5-hour phone interview with their salesperson, I signed a contract for €3,190 to distribute my press release to targeted media and journalists.

The result? They delayed the distribution of my release for two weeks, claiming internal preparation work. In hindsight, I feel this wait was mainly to justify the astronomical cost of their service.

On the day of my release, at 9 a.m., I received an email with a link to track the results and potential pickups of my release. 946 publications announced, but only automatic copy-pastes of my text on aggregator sites!

Some platforms published the same text dozens of times. My release was distributed in 31 countries, far beyond the five initially targeted markets.

Despite these impressive statistics: no original journalistic article identified, no measurable external traffic, and no SEO benefit observed. The copy-pastes were published on pages too far from the homepage (levels 4, 5, or 6). No clickable links, so let's not even talk about DoFollow or NoFollow! The six clicks counted correspond, according to my checks, to my own visits!

I had tested a similar provider, ten times cheaper, who refunded me after my complaint.

At Cision, it's the opposite: after disputing the invoice and requesting an amicable resolution, I received payment reminders, then collection requests with additional fees.
