ChatSKU Reviews & Product Details

ChatSKU: AI Catalog Intelligence and Product Search for Manufacturers, Distributors, and Wholesalers WHAT IS CHATSKU? ChatSKU is an AI-powered catalog intelligence platform built for manufacturers, distributors, and wholesalers. It turns a complex product catalog into a guided buying experience. Buyers type what they need in plain language. ChatSKU finds the right SKU, explains the fit, and moves the buyer toward the order. Most B2B catalogs hold tens of thousands of SKUs. Part numbers are cryptic. Specs live in PDFs. Cross-references sit in a spreadsheet no one updates. Buyers cannot find what they need, so they call a sales rep, email customer service, or leave for a competitor. ChatSKU fixes that at the source: the catalog itself. ChatSKU is a startup that grew out of Virtina, a B2B eCommerce and digital transformation agency operating since 2011. It was built from years of hands-on work inside real distributor and manufacturer catalogs. It reflects the problems those teams face every day. WHO CHATSKU IS FOR ChatSKU serves B2B companies that sell technical, spec-heavy, or high-SKU-count products. Typical customers include: - Manufacturers with large product families and configurable options - Industrial and MRO distributors with deep, multi-brand catalogs - Wholesalers that serve contractors, dealers, and resellers - Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fastener, packaging, and building product suppliers - Any B2B seller whose buyers ask, "Which one do I need?" If your sales team answers the same product questions all day, ChatSKU was built for you. THE PROBLEM WITH B2B PRODUCT SEARCH Standard site search matches keywords. B2B buyers do not think in keywords. They think in applications, dimensions, tolerances, standards, and replacements. A buyer searches "3/8 stainless hex bolt, 2 inch, grade 8" and gets zero results, or 400 results in no useful order. A buyer types a competitor's part number and gets nothing back. The cost shows up fast. Abandoned searches. Longer sales cycles. Support tickets about basic specs. Lost reorders. Inside sales reps acting as human search engines. ChatSKU replaces keyword matching with catalog understanding. It reads your product data, learns the attributes that matter, and answers the way your best sales engineer would. THE CHATSKU PRODUCT SUITE ChatSKU is organized around three tools that work together across the buying journey. ChatSKU Finder: AI search bar for product discovery Finder is an intelligent search bar for your website. Buyers search by description, application, spec, part number, or competitor reference. Finder interprets intent, filters by attributes, and returns ranked, relevant SKUs. It handles typos, abbreviations, and industry shorthand. It narrows large result sets with smart follow-up filters instead of dumping a long list. ChatSKU Builder: guided kit and bundle builder Builder helps buyers assemble multi-part orders. It guides the buyer through compatible components, accessories, and options. Buyers get a complete, correct kit without guessing which parts fit together. This reduces order errors, returns, and back-and-forth with your team. ChatSKU Closer: AI sales chatbot for your catalog Closer is a conversational assistant trained on your catalog. It answers product questions, compares SKUs, suggests alternatives, and recommends add-ons. It works as a 24/7 product expert on your site. When a buyer is ready, Closer guides them to quote or cart. KEY FEATURES Natural language product search. Buyers describe the need in their own words. ChatSKU maps it to your SKUs. Attribute-aware matching. ChatSKU understands dimensions, materials, ratings, finishes, voltages, standards, and units of measure. Cross-reference and substitute lookup. Find equivalents by competitor part number, legacy SKU, or specification. Catalog data enrichment. ChatSKU helps structure and clean product attributes so search and chat results stay accurate. Conversational comparison. Buyers ask which of two products fits their job and get a clear answer based on your data. Guided selling. Follow-up questions narrow a broad request to the right SKU in a few steps. Kit and bundle assembly. Builder checks compatibility and completes the order. Lead capture and handoff. When a buyer needs a human, ChatSKU passes the context to your team so no one starts from zero. Search and chat analytics. See what buyers ask for, what they cannot find, and where your catalog has gaps. BENEFITS FOR B2B TEAMS Higher search-to-order conversion. Buyers who find the right SKU fast are more likely to buy. Fewer support calls. Routine product and spec questions get answered on the site, not by your reps. Faster quoting. Reps spend time on pricing and relationships, not part lookups. Larger orders. Smart add-ons, accessories, and kits raise order value. Better catalog quality. Gaps in product data surface quickly so you can fix them. Competitive reach. Cross-reference search captures buyers who start with a competitor's part number. Always-on selling. Your best product knowledge works nights, weekends, and across time zones. HOW CHATSKU WORKS 1. Connect your catalog. ChatSKU ingests product data from your eCommerce platform, PIM, ERP, spreadsheets, or feeds. 2. Structure and enrich. The platform organizes attributes, maps relationships, and flags missing or inconsistent data. 3. Train the experience. Finder, Builder, and Closer are configured around your products, your terminology, and your buying rules. 4. Launch on your site. Add ChatSKU to your existing storefront or product pages. No need to replace your platform. 5. Measure and improve. Use search and chat insights to refine the catalog and the buyer experience over time. USE CASES Industrial distribution: A buyer needs a replacement for a discontinued part. ChatSKU reads the old part number, matches specs, and offers current equivalents. Manufacturing: A dealer configures a product with options and accessories. Builder confirms compatibility and outputs a complete bill of materials. Wholesale: A contractor describes a job. Closer recommends the right products and quantities. Electrical and building products: A buyer searches by rating, size, and code requirement. Finder returns compliant SKUs only. Packaging and supplies: A buyer asks for a box by inside dimensions and strength. ChatSKU filters to exact matches. WHY CHATSKU INSTEAD OF STANDARD SITE SEARCH Keyword search needs exact words. ChatSKU needs intent. Keyword search ignores context. ChatSKU understands application and specification. Keyword search returns lists. ChatSKU returns answers and next steps. Generic chatbots guess. ChatSKU stays grounded in your catalog, so recommendations come from your real products. Generic AI tools need heavy setup for catalogs. ChatSKU was purpose-built for SKU-based B2B selling. WHAT IS CATALOG INTELLIGENCE? Catalog intelligence means your product data does real work. Instead of sitting in a database, it drives search, answers, recommendations, and kits. ChatSKU reads titles, descriptions, attributes, documents, and relationships, then uses them to serve each buyer question. The better your data, the better the results. ChatSKU also shows you where the data falls short, so each fix improves search, chat, and every order that follows. INDUSTRIES WE SUPPORT ChatSKU fits industrial supply, MRO, electrical, plumbing and HVAC, fasteners and hardware, building materials, packaging, safety equipment, electronic components, and other categories where the product list is long and the specs decide the sale. If buyers need exact answers, ChatSKU is a fit. TEAMS THAT BENEFIT eCommerce managers get better search and conversion. Sales leaders get time back from routine lookups.
