Great site to find help for your family **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2023 **What do you like best about Care.com?** There were a lot of sitters available in our area. We were able to browse different profiles, read reviews and message different sitters before booking. We liked having all of that information in one place so we could compare applicants and know exactly what we were getting into. **What do you dislike about Care.com?** We received some applications that did not meet the requirements of the role. **Recommendations to others considering Care.com:** Care.com is a great place to find help for your family. There are lots of options on the site for babysitters, housekeepers, seniors and pets. You can also use it as a tool to expand your network in case your normal sitter is not available. **What problems is Care.com solving and how is that benefiting you?** My family needed a baby sitter and we are able to find one quickly on Care.com. ### 2. Tens of thousands of reviews of people getting money taken away without being able to contact them to stop them. Complete scam. Avoid at all costs. **What do you dislike about Care.com?** Should have looked at reviews first. Make you pay for their services, continue charging and provide absolutely no way to contact them to resolve issues they purposely create. Avoid at all costs. **Recommendations to others considering Care.com:** Complete scam. Check reviews and avoid at all costs. **What problems is Care.com solving and how is that benefiting you?** Paid for a one month subscription, couldn't get into my account 2 days later. Tried to go through 'forgot my password' route but the website says we'll send you an email to reset your password, never sends an email. They say you caqn chat to someone if you log into your account, but disable you from being able to log in. Tried contacting them through every available email they have listed, all emails are not monitored. Zero way to contact them. Complete scam. ### 3. Care has been great for all of our family's needs. **Recommendations to others considering Care.com:** I recommend interviewing a few caretakers in advance to make sure you get the best fit for your family's needs. **What problems is Care.com solving and how is that benefiting you?** Care.com helps us find great caretakers for our kids whenever we need a much needed break. ### 4. Hire a helper or be a helper... **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** kathy d. | Professional Organizer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2021 **Describe the project or task Care.com helped with:** Care.com helped me find someone to clean my house, do laundry, and organize closets. **What do you like best about Care.com?** I needed to find someone to clean my house weekly but wasn't quite sure where to find someone who could meet all of my requirements. I listed the cleaning requirements, along with listing other tasks that regular cleaning companies just don't do! So I posted the extra items like doing laundry, changing sheets and organizing closets to see what would happen. I got the best person ever. She does it all and has already completed small fix-it tasks without ever asking. There are always a lot of candidates to pick from; I can accept/reject any application. **What do you dislike about Care.com?** I received too many responses from applicants who are under-qualified for the job. **Recommendations to others considering Care.com:** Care.com is a great app to help you find a home helper, babysitter, pet sitter, cleaners, or do errands for you. There are many other options for the type of help you can request. **What problems is Care.com solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was finding a helper for short/long term work. I have found that I can post any task that has to be done, and someone will apply. ### 5. Care.com never lets me down **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2021 **Describe the project or task Care.com helped with:** I used care.com to find my current full time nannying position. **What do you like best about Care.com?** What I like most about care.com is that everyone is required to have a little biography explaining what they need, which allows for easy application to jobs because you know exactly what you are signing yourself up for. **What do you dislike about Care.com?** I dislike that often you have to pay for premium to find a job quickly. I don't think families should have to pay to find a good nanny for their children and vice versa. **Recommendations to others considering Care.com:** I would pay for premium, because it really does work. It gets you a job much faster and connects you with better families. **What problems is Care.com solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was working with a nannying agency and was just not finding a job.
