Buildable Reviews & Product Details

Buildable is an AI-powered project-planning and task-orchestration platform in the developer-productivity category that turns plain-language software ideas into executable backlogs, scaffolded code repositories, and machine-readable task feeds via the Model-Controller-Prompt (MCP) protocol. The solution serves solo developers, micro-SaaS founders, freelance agencies, and small product teams who need to move from concept to working code without assembling separate tools for planning, repository setup, and task tracking. AI Backlog Generation – Converts a short description into a phased backlog with priorities, time estimates, dependencies, and lightweight architecture notes. Automated Repository Scaffold – Creates a private GitHub repository preloaded with the selected tech stack, lint rules, tests, and a continuous-integration workflow. MCP Task Feed – Exposes each backlog item as structured JSON that any GPT-4, Claude, or local model can pull, execute, and mark complete. Live Kanban Board – Displays tasks by status; GitHub webhooks move cards when CI passes, maintaining a single source of truth. Stack Agnostic – Supports React, Rails, Go, Rust, and other ecosystems by selecting appropriate templates and CI commands at generation time. Typical use cases include validating an MVP, onboarding contract developers with a pre-built plan, or running autonomous coding agents that require deterministic task definitions. All data—plans, repositories, and task metadata—remains under the user’s GitHub account, and project-scoped API keys enforce row-level security when assistants access the MCP endpoints. Reduced Planning Overhead – Removes manual backlog writing and architecture guessing. Consistent Quality Gates – Ships with lint, unit tests, and CI to prevent late-stage build failures. Context Preservation – Keeps plan, code, tests, and task status in one continuous workflow, eliminating cross-tool context loss. Agent Compatibility – Standard MCP endpoints allow different AI assistants to cooperate on the same project without custom adapters. Export & Portability – Users can download the plan as JSON, push tasks to GitHub Issues, or clone the repo; all artefacts are portable. Buildable is offered as a cloud service with a seven-day trial, a Pro tier that includes five project generations per month for individual developers, and a Team tier that includes twenty shared generations and SSO support. Enterprise customers can request on-premises deployment and compliance options such as SOC 2 reports.
