It makes it a lot easier and efficient to installation qualification new hardware and software. ### 3. It's my computer and I don't need you to analyze it deeper then I ask, but the information is mine, don't put it behind a pay wall. **What problems is Belarc Advisor solving and how is that benefiting you?** Finding viruses or problems with computers. ### 4. Software for Equipment Inventory **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Juan L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2020 **What do you like best about Belarc Advisor?** I like it because this tool gives you many inventory capabilities for individual PCs in a magnificent way. Just by running it, you can already see which programs you have installed, the security patches you are missing, the complete hardware description of the system, among many other details. This information is very helpful in my area to prepare reports and deliver them to senior management and to have more efficient equipment in our departments. **What do you dislike about Belarc Advisor?** The only negative thing I could say is that it doesn't have options; I think it had them a long time ago, someone mentioned it to me; to launch network scans. The idea would be to install it to scan a complete segment of IP addresses to obtain results. I recently tried it and it no longer includes that option, which is what I wanted, and for that reason, I stopped using it. Another point is having to install it manually on each device is very exhausting if there are many. **Recommendations to others considering Belarc Advisor:** I prefer to recommend that you use the software but the paid version, as the Free version will indeed give you all the information contained on a single PC, but for more business strategies and greater distribution, the full package would be advisable. This way, you will gain more benefits. However, if you want to try it, you can do so by registering your email addresses. **What problems is Belarc Advisor solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problem we had previously was that we didn't know the security patches our equipment required since vulnerability scanning software is expensive and wasn't feasible for us. So we turned to this tool in its Free version, which helped us a lot in capturing that healthy information from all the devices. ### 5. Also, it shows license keys of installed software. So for the system administrators, it is easy to keep track of license keys. This is lightweight software, and we can run on any computer without issues. **What do you dislike about Belarc Advisor?** I do not have any negative comments on the Belarc Advisor. **What problems is Belarc Advisor solving and how is that benefiting you?** A great tool to discover what software installed and to check the health of the device. Also, we can get license keys if we need to do a re-installation. Also, we can see missing critical updates. ### 6.
