The layout does not work for my team's needs. I find that there is a lot of extra data and I don't really like the framing on color varient view. Also sometimes the linesheets won't even load because we have such a big collection. Also I have this issue with the illustrator extension where sometimes the box will just be empty and the only way I can reset it and get it to work again is by undownloading the app and redownloading it which can be pretty annoying. Pretty much self-explanatory, especially after attending the free training that Backbone provides. Backbone customer service is quick to fix when there is a problem, but the same problem reoccurs and sometimes we do not even catch the mistake until its too late or our factory comes back and says something went wrong. **What problems is Bamboo Rose TotalPLM solving and how is that benefiting you?** It solves the inconvenience of not letting files, artworks, and comments live in the same place. They added another function to where we can share tech packs via links instead of having to download the tech pack everytime. It's very intuitive to navigate around the system. I also like how customizable it is; we can add custom fields our company needs. **What do you dislike about Bamboo Rose TotalPLM?** The downsides to using Backbone is the inability to track the cost of the total finished product in the system. Backbone could improve the cost feature by adding the ability to capture cost reports per season rather than just stand-alone styles. It would be great to see a full-season picture of our product costs in a report. It would also be great to see some sort of change log tracking. We are unable to track who is making changes in the system and when! We are currently tracking this info internally in the Feedback and Revisions section of the Product. **Recommendations to others considering Bamboo Rose TotalPLM:** This system is very user-friendly. It's straightforward, and the support team is excellent at answering all questions within 24 hours. In my short time using the system, I find they follow up to see how it is working for our team. As a customer, it feels great knowing that they are continuously working hard with their clients to provide a better product. The time you will save, and clarity in communication are well worth the price. Before Backbone we were scrampling between word docs, excel spreatsheets, google sheets, Ai files, and several other files that needed to all be created then added into one folder to have a tech pack. Now we have it boiled down to just Ai files and Backbone. ### 17. I have used many different systems, and this was by far the easiest to pick up and learn. The onboarding team has been wonderful, and the support I've received from Backbone when I have a question or need more assistance has been quick. I loved when they sent me a video walking me through how to do an action I was learning. I like that you can add notes to images **What do you dislike about Bamboo Rose TotalPLM?** I dislike that you have to hit an edit button to make changes on the summary page- it wastes time. I dislike that you have to make your selections in 2 places for the variants of a component; again, it wastes time. I dislike that when you click on a component in the BOM that it doesn't open a new window. I dislike that you took out the feature where you could add notes to the details and to the Images. I also dislike that it force logs you out; I've had it log me out in the middle of typing comments and had to start over. I also don't like that when you copy a TP now, it changes the style number, again, just one more step to do- I have to search again for the style by name- it wastes time. It's easier to build the tech pack, even without having much training or knowledge of the program. **What do you dislike about Bamboo Rose TotalPLM?** Certain functions are not available, such as "bulk (multiple) generating & downloading", so using backbone can be a lot more time-consuming. also, you can't review the pages until you generate and download TP. For example, in order to review and check the TP pages, you need to generate, download, then possibly find some mistakes, fix them, then again generate and download, one style at a time. so it takes much longer and can be annoying when you are trying to finish 40-60 TP in a day. **What problems is Bamboo Rose TotalPLM solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before our company used Backbone, there was no unified TP system, so each designer had a different TP format they used, and the information was not shared.
