**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vadiraja T. | Project Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Azure Sphere?**

1. The kind of security has been given to the controller at such a less price is really stunning.
2. Can be used as controller, a processor and electronic device for smart processing - which makes me think that this may be the most versatile thing you can have in your electronic collection.
3. The OS which has been given as the functioning aspect of this product made me go crazy since the applications are limitless.
4. The cloud communication, database access and its speed is always at a consistent rate which is really useful in long drive applications.
5. The built-in IoT has really helped me a lot since it has been absent in such low range controllers and the possibility of it will make this a lot costlier. But these guys did it. The product is perfect for any application with the better insight on it and have the great way of dealing with other aspects like physical conditions too.
6. I never even once observed any heating up in the controller sphere which is a lot good since I use high end long running ML and IoT algorithms which made this a lot useful for me.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Sphere:**

Its the best one - not to learn, but to excel at.

**What problems is Azure Sphere solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There were so many projects run by me in this device and its super smooth without any glitches. Started with blinking LED for the automatic time synchronization, all the way to the foreign object detection in packaging facilities. This has always helped me a lot, and if its a industrial friendly version - I would be really happy to suggest it to everybody rather than small project guys.

  ### 19. Azure Sphere Review

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anjan N. | Azure Devops Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Azure Sphere?**

Azure Sphere certified microcontrollers (MCUs) which combines both real-time and application processors with built-in Microsoft security technology and connectivity. Also the Azure Sphere Security Service which guards every Azure Sphere device and brokering trust for device-to-device and device-to-cloud communication through certificate-based authentication.

**What do you dislike about Azure Sphere?**

A threat still prevails as from the IoT side of things as I will be able to connect every single device in an enterprise or every single device in a home to the internet, there’s real risk associated with it .

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Sphere:**

It can simplify our daily needs and use of appliances would be easy and accesseble.
Also one of the key features of the Azure Sphere platform is its secure application deployment service. Each Azure Sphere device has its own unique ID that's stored on the device. We have to register each device you have as part of a product, with its own ID that's managed through the cloud service. And Azure Sphere OS adds layers of protection and ongoing security updates to create a trustworthy platform for new IoT experiences. Passwords can be the weakest link in many security systems so microsoft implemented Certificate-based authentication which eliminates the need for passwords to manage a device.Using Azure sphere Applications are assigned to device groups and automatically deployed, so you can build the deployment process into an existing software development lifecycle, using separate software branches for development and test, with final deployment triggered by a merge to a separate production branch.

**What problems is Azure Sphere solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Azure Sphere’s software delivery model and Visual Studio development tools deliver productivity and dramatically optimize the process of developing and maintaining apps on their devices. We can use all Iot based applicaion and can manage them also from a single console.

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Azure Sphere?**

Azure allows you to have a Cloud Based Active Directory with minimal setup.

**What do you dislike about Azure Sphere?**

I could not use Azure AD authentication on Meraki WiFi.

**What problems is Azure Sphere solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Azure AD allows control over what PC users have access to on their Windows 10 machines.

  ### 21. Testing what Microsoft has for IoT protection in companies.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** M.Sc. Jonathan S. | Maintenance Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Azure Sphere?**

One of the things that stands out the most about this package that Microsoft offers is that it is made up of 3 items (which cannot be obtained separately) that together make up an apparently reliable solution to increase security in the management of companies' IoT . It also highlights the fact that the OS was based on Linux Kernel (That's right, based on what in the market we sometimes consider as its own competition) while making it easily adaptable to devices and having extra layers of protection. . In general lines, the conjunction of both the Sphere operating system, the microprocessor and the Sphere security system, is outlined as a very complete triangulation to provide a solid system that is very secure and includes threats to the goods and electronic devices subject to the IoT framework. of companies

**What do you dislike about Azure Sphere?**

Since it was implemented it has not presented any major inconvenience. Although it is strange that this system is not supported with its W10 IoT operating system, which in the worst case may be worrying that later Microsoft does what it sometimes does with some of its products: stop providing support or discontinue it, just as it has with its mobile devices and Windows Mobile itself. It is also not a good sign that you have not used your W10 IoT for this tool. It remains to wait in time.

**What problems is Azure Sphere solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Until now, the Engineering department has joined the Technology Department of the company, implementing and developing equipment and devices for the optimization of processes regarding the supervision and maintenance of equipment used in cementing and evaluating wells. We are currently making very important decisions to apply technological advance changes to much of our processes, and the implementation of Azure Sphere has allowed us to advance in this area and at the same time "embed" a high number...

  ### 22. Get yourself a highly secured connection for internet.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jazlyn S. | Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Azure Sphere?**

I just love using this cloud platform because it helps me in creating secure internet connection that gains my customer satisfaction just according to the desired products and this helps me to expand my business significantly and quite quickly. It is quite efficient in managing IOT functions and is easily accessible from Azure cloud.

**What do you dislike about Azure Sphere?**

I find that the preview of the software very very clustered and quite congested because of a lot of different features that are sometimes so overwhelming. The security updates comes quite frequently and it is hard to keep up with them. I would really appreciate if connection over the cellular network could be a part of the software and should be supported on Mac platform.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Sphere:**

I would highly recommend it.

**What problems is Azure Sphere solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quite efficient and provide multiple layers of protection against different advanced threats for my devices. Azure provides me with great deployment flexibility and security for my existing equipment it is very helpful to keep me aware of different sites by reporting errors and security updates.

  ### 23. Secure iot

That it is a cloud service. And there would be support from cloud communities

**What do you dislike about Azure Sphere?**

The OS security updates. It is a hassle to keep updated

**What problems is Azure Sphere solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Connected devices for productivity
