Backup and restore critical assets from an integrated cloud-based service

## Azure Reliability Reviews
  ### 1. Azure Protection and Recovery for faster recovery process

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shriya S. | Specialist Programmer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Azure Reliability?**

1. Azure support: My team had faced some issue and accidently deleted the whole resource group. So we had requested for our data recovery from storage account and secrets and with help of azure support we got all the data in our storage account within a day.
2. Azure key vault recovery: If we accidentally delete a key vault then we can easily recover it if soft delete was enable in that key vault (soft delete is generally enable by default in azure key vault)
3. We can easily recover our data in azure cosmos db, azure SQL DB, azure Blob storage, azure key vault etc.

**What do you dislike about Azure Reliability?**

1. At times, in azure if there is a issue or loop hole then hackers can exploit it and azure may inform us a bit late, which can be dangerous.
2. Azure support team at times try to sell their product and suggest a replacement for our third party services.
3. AWS is more prefer than Azure as it is more secure. AWS uses data encryption.
4. Many times it has been observed by my team that azure devOps is slow and not working as required.

**What problems is Azure Reliability solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. Fast and steady recovery of data that was deleted from azure cosmosdb, azure storage account, etc.
2. Azure key vaults are secure and safe, with soft delete enable helps in easy recovery of data.
3. Azure Cosmos db has geo replication option to keep a replica a copy for backup in different region.

  ### 2. Azure protection and recovery is fine

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin M. | C, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Azure Reliability?**

The availability is there for any size recovery environment you may need. External support is plentiful but vendor support isn't my favorite option as it's slow and takes too much time to get to the right person.

**What do you dislike about Azure Reliability?**

The support option is my least favorite part of this platform. If you need adjustments or a larger scale it can take support a while to get back to you. The intergrators service options make this less of an issue.

**What problems is Azure Reliability solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used this for data protection and test recovery environments. When it's resold it normally bundled with enterprise support and engineering time. We have not gained business from offering it.

  ### 3. Better Than Active Directory

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jorge V. | System Admin, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Azure Reliability?**

Azure operates similarly to an on-site Active Directory system without having to purchase and maintain any servers. Additionally, all data is kept in the cloud allowing for easy recovery.

**What do you dislike about Azure Reliability?**

The only downside is if your internet is slow, your Azure portal will be slow. If your internet is down, your access will be limited.

**What problems is Azure Reliability solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Azure allows us to limit users' ability to download unwanted apps and programs. Additionally, we can monitor PCs and keep a running inventory of users and what PC they're using.

  ### 4. Backup and Recovery tool for Azure

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sayanta B. | R, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Azure Reliability?**

The best thing about Azure Protection and Recovery is the quick backup it provides during any crisis or server outrage. It is extremely handy because of the automated backup system. It also recovers all of the data within a few moments. Also with this comes the protection feature, which helps in extermination of threats and attacks beforehand to an Azure environment.

**What do you dislike about Azure Reliability?**

There is nothing to dislike about this product because it is absolutely flawless.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Reliability:**

I highly recommend everyone to use this solution from Microsoft Azure.

**What problems is Azure Reliability solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Azure Protection and Recovery, we don't have to care about data protection and security along with server outrage or failure. In case of failures, it can automatically switch to any nearest availability zone and keeps the server up and running. During a shutdown, it automatically recovers your data which are being backed up that too automatically during an inflow.

  ### 5. Best cloud service

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharmila K. | Senior Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Azure Reliability?**

Azure follows to store and recover specific data protocol. It also uses automation process to recover the data .it is also easy for data replication using some technologies.

**What do you dislike about Azure Reliability?**

It is a costly service to maintain.there are always some hidden costs involved which makes difficult to use for a longer time period.also the stack community support is less .

**What problems is Azure Reliability solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Granular data saving and recover is the benefit I realized through Azure protection and recovery.the speed with which the application can be managed is very effective and efficient

  ### 6. Using Azure Protection & Recovery as Hybrid DRP

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julio Cesar M. | Consultor de aplicaciones, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2021

**What do you like best about Azure Reliability?**

The ease of installation and configuration, the possibility of having the replication in one or several sites

**What do you dislike about Azure Reliability?**

The cost of the solution could be restrictive for some companies

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Reliability:**

If you require a fast and easy option to configure, although somewhat expensive, you can opt for Azure

**What problems is Azure Reliability solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have a database recovery option that had complications to implement on-premise.

Among the benefits were the speed of implementation and the rate of having a solution in the face of data loss

  ### 7. A great solution for VMware users who want a simple to deploy cloud DR solution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Azure Reliability?**

APR is super easy to spin up. Within an hour, I had the on-premise gateway installed and the agent deployed to numerous server hosts. The backup times are lengthy, but the ability to deploy directly to azure in a DR scenario is fantastic. Comparable products that do the exact function cost much more.

**What do you dislike about Azure Reliability?**

When testing the system, I was not impressed with its capabilities to customize backup sets, schedules and recovery scenarios. Its not a perfect solution, but not much is.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Reliability:**

Do a full cost analysis of a third-party DR solution, plus the cost to store that data in the cloud. ADR will likely beat that price and provide more simplicity in your deployment.

**What problems is Azure Reliability solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Initially, we needed a solution to backup our on-premise VMware environment. We have a number of high criticality transactional SQL servers that we don't want to lose any data. Other servers support telephony and life safety systems which require a considerable uptime percentage. Because of its simplicity for deployment, we were able to meet our DR requirements very early.
