# How are DevOps engineers and software developers adopting log monitoring tools for production systems?

In the log monitoring category, three come up most: Datadog, New Relic, and Grafana Labs. The wider list:

Datadog: reviewers install the agent fast and lean on prebuilt dashboards to cover the stack quickly.

New Relic: quick agent setup for basic metrics, though reviewers say NRQL takes time to learn.

Grafana Labs: teams adopt it as a single pane across existing data sources, with a PromQL learning curve.

Prebuilt dashboards probably help tools like Datadog get through the first adoption hurdle, but daily usage usually starts when logs become part of incident investigation. Once engineers instinctively open the platform when something breaks, adoption has really happened. For teams using these tools daily, was alerting, troubleshooting, or dashboarding the workflow that made the platform stick?
