Clean and simple interface. Integrates well for SysAdmins who are familiar with the usual Windows Server Backup (WBADMIN) interface. Provides excellent recoverability of file/folder level data. Provides reasonable recoverability of VMs / full system images.

**What do you dislike about Azure Backup?**

Reporting is limited compared to enterprise solutions like Backup Exec or even smaller names such as Cloudberry. Generally, this is offset by a high level of reliability, so your mileage may vary.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Backup:**

We have great faith that our Azure Backups can be restored from reliably when they run. Be aware that you may be PowerShell'ing your own reporting, especially if you are like us and are anal about monitoring backups for trends, anomalies, etc.

**What problems is Azure Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is a fantastic value for file/folder level backups and a nice basic fallback for more complex virtualized environments. We find that clients who aren't looking for a managed solution are generally fans of Azure Backup's simplicity.

  ### 21. Azure cloud Backup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2018

Quick, Easy, well documented for a Microsoft product. Easy to follow guides. Cheap solution. You can use it be a simple backup copy of local storage or for a complete site replication and failover.
Works great with Cloudberry backup software client.

Dashboard is a bit cluttered but informative.
Domain redundancy and sql backup can be a little tedious but not impossible.
Determining pricing is much easier after talking for sales rep.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Backup:**

Using Cloudberry client software makes backup to the Azure cloud a snap. Dashboard gives excellent reporting of storage used, access rates and monthly billing.
Domain redundancy is excellent. Failover works great if local file server goes down. Hardley misses a beat.

**What problems is Azure Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it as an added layer of backup redundancy combined with local backup procedures for no single point of failure.

  ### 22. Backup copies to the palm of your hand.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael M. | SEO Specialist, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2018

**What do you like best about Azure Backup?**

Microsoft Azure is representative with excellence in storage in the cloud, since it practically offers us a server where we can store any backup which can allow us to restore any file, or recover some deleted documents, also, Azure gives us the facility to incorporate much more with the servers, but with much more basic functions that can be learned to use in a matter of minutes.

**What do you dislike about Azure Backup?**

The difficulty with Azure, is that this platform is not available for other devices, only for PC, this at a certain point does not help the user so much, because it would be better to be able to access the server's cloud, to check any file wherever it is needed. I would, however, recommend that an App be included for other devices, it would be a better user experience.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Backup:**

Increase the use of backup copies, with the ability to store them on a web server, for a better recommendation.

**What problems is Azure Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Microsoft Azure offers reliability when using the servers they provide, providing the user first with a very fast platform, which accelerates the process of constant storage.

  ### 23. Admirable administration, easy to use

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carly E. | Web Developer, Computer & Network Security, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2018

**What do you like best about Azure Backup?**

Speedy and simple to set-up. Backs up all information that you could need and works with Microsoft framework. Empowers you to make enterprise framework and application (for web and devices) arrangements in the cloud inside minutes. The capacity to make formats for sending distinctive administrations, joined with the adaptability of utilizing Azure and powershell makes ceaseless coordination less demanding.

**What do you dislike about Azure Backup?**

At times the backup can be a little slow and takes some time. Cost is high without a doubt, I feel that would be the main con my present organization would have since they are fronting the bill. With that said, I don't have any further cons as of now since I have just been utilizing them for a few months.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Backup:**

Read the installation manual screens carefully and you will be good to go. Installation is fast and your data is being saved to the cloud in no time. With the Azure you can install all of your solutions at unique online service , they have one useful control panel that you can use to control everything online.

**What problems is Azure Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The setup is super simple removing some headache.. It's anything but difficult to configure and reconfigure the Azure connection. What's more, agents are straight forward and easy to setup. There's not much negative to be said. Normally with data and cloud-based software theres a learning curve. Azure makes it too easy where you don't have to know a ton if you want to use it.

  ### 24. Modern backup strategy service

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael T. | Project Manager, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2018

**What do you like best about Azure Backup?**

Azure Backup allows you to have modern approach for backing up your on-premise infrastructure. You bacakups are kept off-site, so even disaster in your datacenter area will not affect your backup storage and you will be able to restore when it will be needed. Solution is very easy to implement and provides all necessary tools to analyze your infrastructure and plan backup solution it most optimal and secure way, keeping your data protected and not ruining your network by great amount of outgoing traffic. You can manage backup and retention policies directly from Azure portal and be sure that you will have several copies of you your backups and not utilizing a great amount of storage. Very easy restore even to another server, you just need to register new server in Recovery Vault. You can configure alerting and notification about availability of protected servers for recovery vault, so you will be informed immediately if any of your resources needs attention, so you will be able to restore from backup in short time if needed

**What do you dislike about Azure Backup?**

Azure Backup can also be used for migration purposes, but if you are migrating to on-premise location it will consume outgoing traffic from Azure, and for migration to Azure you`d better use Site Recovery instead of Backup.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Backup:**

Keep your backups up to date, so you will be able to restore for most recent point of time

**What problems is Azure Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Stable and secure backup solution does not depending on local datacenter.

  ### 25. Backups to cloud

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel E. | Senior Database Administrator, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2018

**What do you like best about Azure Backup?**

Very stable and easy to configure solution, it is very secure and easy to maintain. You don`t have to manage your storage and out of risk of loosing your backups due to storage device failure. Affordable price makes this a successor of traditional backup devices and allows keeping backups of your servers offsite, which makes these even more resilient.

**What do you dislike about Azure Backup?**

Can affect your network, so you`d better schedule your backups outside the business hours. Restore can take a long time and consure a big amount of outbound Azure traffic

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Backup:**

Solution provides ability to restore separate files or disks, try to use this as much as you can, this will save your costs for traffic

**What problems is Azure Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Replacement of legacy tape backup devices

  ### 26. Simple ans secure solution for backing up your infrastructure

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victor R. | DevOps, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2018

**What do you like best about Azure Backup?**

Azure backup work with both physical servers and virtual machines, it is very simple to configure and does not requires any additional hardware for your on-premise infrastructure, it uses Azure BLOB storage as backup location which can provide desired redundancy and availability of your backups. Solution work in pair with Azure Site Recovery, so you need only one service, to have Disaster Recovery for critical systems and backups for systems where significant downtime is affordable. To register server in Recovery Vault you just need to install agent and apply vault key to establish connection with service. To restore server even after it was physically destroyed or replaced with new one, you just need to register it in recovery vault and point it as destination for restore

**What do you dislike about Azure Backup?**

You will probably not need any servers to be restored from backup, but in case you will, restore can utilize a lot of outbound traffic from Azure, that can affect your monthly bill. But it anyways cheaper that dedicated backup hardware in data center, which can also be destroyed by disaster

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Backup:**

Solution is very simple to manage, so you can engage advanced junior\middle level of staff to work with it

**What problems is Azure Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Backup for non-production and not business critical systems

  ### 27. Azure Blob Backup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Azure Backup?**

Works great with sql server. I use the built in backup to backup our sql server to the azure blob storage. Great to have the redundancy.

**What do you dislike about Azure Backup?**

The authentication process is a little anyoing. It’s unclear at points as to where to use login credentials vs generate authentication key. The azure blob explorer was also a little buggy, but has gotten better with time.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Backup:**

It’s a great solution especially for sql server

**What problems is Azure Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy offsite backup. I used this when we had on-premise databases to get my backups in the cloud for disaster recovery. Great and cheap solution compared to a lot of the other options out there.

  ### 28. Modern approarch on Backup device

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sergey D. | Active Directory Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Azure Backup?**

The most great feature that it is Azure Based, you do not need to set up expensive backup hardware and hire proficient staff to maintain it. You backups are stored at location different than your datacenter, that means you can access these even if datacenter will be destroyed by natural disaster. Solution is very easy to use and configure. Just register servers and these are protected, very easy restore process

**What do you dislike about Azure Backup?**

Outbound traffic from Azure is charged, so restoring a lot of servers at on time could be expensive.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Backup:**

If you already have backup hardware in-place, keep using it, but if you will need to upgrade it, consider using cloud solution. It will allow to keep your backups out of your datacenter, which makes these more protected

**What problems is Azure Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saved the costs of backup hardware during IT infrastructure upgrade process

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

This product has never made my team upset because of availability issues. It has almost zero downtime and offers high redundancy in data centers on a large scale.

**What do you dislike about Azure Backup?**

Integration cost and setup cost are too high compared to its competitors. Upfront costs could not be afforded by a startup.

**Recommendations to others considering Azure Backup:**

Provide more self hosting support and lower upfront installation costs

**What problems is Azure Backup solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company stores important client's confidential data which requires high security and availability. With Microsoft Azure, we are able to gain multi level protection and password validation which is satisfying to a great extent.
