## About Axolo
Axolo is a bi-directional Slack & GitHub/GitLab integration. With Axolo, tech teams can collaborate on pull requests seamlessly. Each pull request creates a temporary Slack channel where all information (deployments, pull request checks, and code comments) will be shared. Axolo takes all of the normal back-and-forths on GitHub and Slack to centralize the conversation in ephemeral pull request channels. But this is only step 1! Features: 💭 An ephemeral Slack channel for each pull request: Axolo opens a Slack channel each time one of your collaborators opens a pull request. Only people that should be invited (reviewers & assignees) are invited. ⏰ PRs reminders: Set up Axolo to send daily reminders in stale PRs. 💻 A complete synch for code reviews: Each Github code review comment creates a new Slack thread. Then, the following comments from GitHub or Slack are sent to the other tool. 👀 High-level view on your team's PRs: With team-specific notifications, Axolo will send new pull request notifications in team channels and react upon the status of the PR (awaiting review, work in progress, mergeable, ...). 🤖 Approve pull requests with /lgtm: Developers can use /lgtm to approve a pull request directly in PR channels! 🏀 All your PRs are a command away: Ask /axolo open to show all open PR of your organization, /axolo me for your open PRs, and /axolo team [name of your team] to show all PRs from a specific team. 🕵️‍♂️ Organize your stand-ups with daily PR recap: You can set up Axolo to send daily PR recap to specific channels to organize your stand-ups. ⏳ Dedicated times for code review: Organize your time with code review time slots and let Axolo notify you only when you're available. Save your development sessions from distractions.

## Axolo Reviews
 ### 1. Streamlined PR Management with Excellent Slack Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saachi P. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

Axolo creates a GitHub-synced channel per PR, which has streamlined our communication and collaboration immensely. The single source of truth being Slack has reduced missed notifications and made discussions more approachable and productive. I also appreciate how Axolo minimizes the idiosyncrasies of GitHub by allowing interaction through Slack's smooth, friendly UI. The PR notifications have been reliable, ensuring that fewer of my PRs are missed. I find it really helpful that Axolo asks me which Slack member the new member is when someone joins the GitHub team.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

Sometimes PR notifications get missed. The daily review time did not adapt to the Daylight Saving Time clock change. The daily review also could be made more easy to read.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Axolo to sync our pull request Slack channel with GitHub, creating a channel per PR which streamlines our communication. It enhances transparency and makes Github interactions smoother, ensuring notifications aren't missed and making discussions more productive and enjoyable.

 ### 2. Effortless PR Reviews Within Slack

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ricardo D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

I find Axolo's bidirectional information sync really nice because it allows me to handle pull requests without leaving Slack. It's great for making pull requests more visible and facilitates easier feedback. The ease of not having to switch context from Slack is a huge plus, even though GitHub has a great UI for PR reviews. Also, setting up Axolo was super easy.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

The only thing I could think of is sometimes the bidirectional is slow, but, generally, that was only a problem when I used it for GitLab. So I think GitLab was the issue.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Axolo to make pull requests more visible and easier to give and receive feedback through its tight integration with Slack.

 ### 3. Seamless Slack Notifications, Easy Onboarding

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle H. | Founding Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

I find Axolo very easy to use, which is a big plus for me. It's super easy to onboard new users, making the transition smooth for everyone involved. I also appreciate that it allows folks who don't want to use Slack to easily opt out, which is considerate. The pricing is good as well, making it a well-rounded tool for our needs.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

It truly just works reliably in the background—I can't think of anything I don't like about the product

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Axolo provides real-time feedback in Slack, streamlining communication on GitLab reviews. It's seamless, works well, and is great for onboarding engineers.

 ### 4. Good

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

I like that messages sync between Github and Slack. It makes our communication way easier, as Slack has better communication features than Github. This is used all day, every day by our company, and is very easy to set up.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

Sometimes Axolo creates more than one channel for a single Github Pull Request, which scatters information and is not desirable. I reached out to support about this, and they quickly responded that they will look into it.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack is our primary internal communication tool and offers stronger messaging features. However, important discussions still need to be documented in GitHub, where some team members also prefer to leave comments. This integration syncs Slack and GitHub, allowing both platforms to be used for communication while making Slack the easier, more efficient place for day-to-day conversations.

 ### 5. The Slack integration that Github needs

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

It makes it extremely easy to stay on top of updates for PRs I’ve opened, and to see which reviews are waiting on me. By bringing the conversation into the channel I’m already in all the time, nothing gets lost and it’s much easier to keep track of what needs my attention.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

It is strange that this needs to be a third party integration, this seems like something that should be built into Github itself.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps keep PRs moving and prevents features from getting stuck because reviews are missing or people simply forget about them.

 ### 6. Axolo Gets PRs Merged Faster and Gives Your Team Hours Back

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Allen C. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

Every hour a PR author is blocked from merging a PR, is another hour your team could be getting back. Axolo gets you those hours back.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

Onboarding new teammates is very clunky.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Axolo pulls GH notifications and conversations into Slack threads, speeding up the code review process and unblock PR authors.

 ### 7. Seamlessly Elevates PR Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

I like that Axolo makes PR reviews more chat-friendly, elevating them to the same level as discussions on Slack rather than being hidden in an email inbox. It's been great to work with for collaborative discussions.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

Sometimes the integration can time out and sometimes if the user hasn't connected to GitHub it has a hard time tagging the user the same way it's tagged in Slack.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Axolo to make PR discussions more chat-friendly, elevating PR reviews to the same level as Slack discussions and preventing them from getting buried in emails.

 ### 8. GitHub Comments in Slack: Easier Notifications, Reading, and Replies

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

Very helpful to get comments from github sent in slack - easier to get notified, easier to read, and easier to respond

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

I don't like so much that the messages from the slack channel also get posted in github. I think that there should be a thread for each comment from github, where a response on slack would post back to github, but every message from the slack channel going to github means that any non-concise conversation or discussion makes the github conversation look very messy

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Preventing us having to manually notify people when we have reviewed code and left comments, as we all struggle to follow github notifications we receive via email

 ### 9. Amazing product I enjoy using it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yasser T. | Ai Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

Axolo really streamlines our pull request workflow by bringing everything into Slack. I love how it creates a temporary channel for each PR, so discussions don’t get buried or spread across threads. It keeps reviewers, authors, and even CI notifications in one place, which makes the feedback loop much faster. I’ve noticed fewer delays in code reviews, and the fact that comments sync back to GitHub means we don’t lose anything. It feels like it reduces friction and keeps everyone more engaged with reviews.

Yasser - StackAI

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

That said, there are a few rough edges. Sometimes old PR channels linger in Slack longer than they should, cluttering up the workspace.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Axolo solves the problem of slow and fragmented pull request reviews by centralizing code discussions and notifications directly in Slack.

 ### 10. Effortless PR Integration with Slack and GitHub

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Enrique J. | IT Project Director, Computer Software

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

I love Axolo because it offers ease of use in integration, which stands out for my purposes and speeds up the process of reviewing a pull request. The integration saves us a ton of hours waiting for a review, asking for one, or expecting comments about a coding decision. The initial setup is top-notch, taking less than 10 minutes.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

I think the channel prefix can be improved. The current design adds noise to our channels sidebar.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Axolo creates channels for discussing coding decisions in pull requests, actively notifies of approvals and comments, saving us hours waiting for reviews and feedback.

 ### 11. Effortless GitHub PR Reviews via Slack

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohit Y.

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

I like Axolo for its simple integration and feedback loop, which makes the process smooth for me. I also enjoy the easy Slack feedback and commands that it offers, simplifying communication during code reviews. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy, so getting started was a breeze.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

PR review channel naming can be more user friendly and enable archival by default.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Axolo for GitHub code review. It solves the problem of integrating GitHub PR reviews to Slack, making it easy with a simple integration and feedback loop.

 ### 12. Seamless Slack + GitHub Communication That Keeps Reviews in Sync

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

Love the integrated communication across Slack and Github, I don't have to worry if my reviewers saw that I responded to their comments for example.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

At very busy times it can miss a PR, but it's not too big of a hassle as it happens quite rarely.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Iteration speed during code reviews
Having all communication in one place: not having to Slack my coworker to tell them I've left a review or responded to their comments.

 ### 13. Effortless GitHub Review Management from Slack

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

I like being able to respond and react to GitHub reviews from Slack. The comments sync quickly and it makes it easier to keep track of conversations than standalone comments that can't be replied to inside of GitHub.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

The syncing isn't always perfect. I've had a mismatch between Slack and GitHub before but it is rare. I also wish the comment threads in Slack were easier to track inside of GitHub. Sometimes it can be hard to trace what comments are in response to another comment because there are two threads being discussed at the same time.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easier conversations when discussing pull requests in GitHub.

 ### 14. Seamless GitHub & Slack Integration with Axolo

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Henry D.

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

I use Axolo for integrating Slack and GitHub, and it's seamless with a friendly vibe. It's very easy to set up, and it saves me from having to message my colleagues about changes in GitHub.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

Nothing, it is super quick and easy to use

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Axolo eliminates the need to message colleagues about changes in GitHub, streamlining communication and saving us from copying and pasting links.

 ### 15. Awesome!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Giovanna F. | Head of Data, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

We already had updates being posted to a Slack channel, but it wouldn’t automatically tag reviewers or notify them - - which was a bit annoying - - and you couldn’t reply in the thread and have it sync back to GitLab. Axolo fixes all of that beautifully. When you add someone as a reviewer, they’re dropped into the dedicated Slack channel for that merge request, and any comments made there (even in threads!) are synced right into GitLab (in a very organized way). It’s made our process smoother, faster, and more convenient. Bonus points for being able to approve a merge request straight from Slack with a quick “/lgtm” - - it’s the ✨ little things ✨

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

Can't think of anything at the moment, we've been using it for about 2-3 weeks and it's been absolutely great!

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrating Gitlab with Slack which is the main comms tool we use in the company is awesome - - it has made the process of reviewing merge requests more convenient!

 ### 16. Axolo Streamlines Code Reviews Effortlessly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

Slack integration is key. Having automated PR channels makes it super easy to keep track of what is pending and allows you to do most interactions with code reviews (aside from actually reviewing code) in Slack. The standup feature is nice too to remind the team what the state of PRs is.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

honestly nothing. it does its job well and I can't imagine not using it now.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlining code reviews is extremely important for a fast moving engineering team. Axolo really nails it.

 ### 17. Game changing on code review!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bruno F. | Sr Data Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

It's really easy to setup and start using. Today I use Axolo integrated with Slack and GitLab repos, every time someone in my team opens a merge request we can centralize the discussions on Slack and be more agile on the reviewing process (and deploying, as well).

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

So far I didn't found any "dislike". My dream is connect the Axolo's workflow with Jira (move issues to "in review" or "done). So far didn't encountered a way to do this automatically but I think that there's a woy to do this via Jira <> Slack integration.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Communication while the code reviewing process is happening.

 ### 18. Axolo Review Slack Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diego Sebastian O. | Senior Software Engineer I, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

I really appreciate how well it integrates with Slack channels, making it easy to use in daily workflows.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

Sometimes channels aren’t deleted automatically, it’s happened to me a couple of times, possibly due to a bug or because we ran out of credits

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Axolo helps centralize PR reviews and notifications, making it easier for the team to stay aligned and respond faster to code changes.

 ### 19. Absolutely Loving It So Far—No Complaints Yet

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

Axolo is a very useful tool for pull requests. Its versatile integration with Slack, GitHub, and other communication tools makes it easy to understand and notify reviewers when something happens within the pull request.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

It might be helpful to be able to generate editable code snippets within the tool itself, eliminating the need to access the URL. Otherwise, everything is perfect.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Notification in real time, detail of changes and invite to reviewers to the thread

 ### 20. Super useful for syncing github PRs <> Slack

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Noah G. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

We've had a great experience on our team with Axolo, streamlines our PR workflow because we can see everything in Slack and actually have threads for github PR discussions. Works out of the box, very easy to use and install. We trialed it with our team and after a few months took a poll and everyone loved it and wanted to keep it!

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

If you don't like noise in Slack, Axolo will probably create more, but there are also tons of settings which you can use to curate notifications if you want.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Github PR discussions are fragmented due to lack of support of threads, and being conducted in a separate UI from slack. Axolo syncs from github to slack so you can see everything in one place.

 ### 21. Excelllent application

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sergio H. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

I love Axolo. Axolo has streamlined the communication inside my team. Axolo has improved the code review. Its integration with Slack is a big help.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

I didn't find any dislike. I'd like if Axolo will implement an integration with other tools as Jira.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before we needed to notice any PR or changes in the PR. Now our communication has been streamlined.

 ### 22. excellente tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Romily N. | software engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

fasted and easy to use. Its a very helpfull tool

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

some notifications could be more accurate

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I dont find a problem

 ### 23. Seamless Slack-GitHub Integration Makes Collaboration Effortless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

The best part about Axolo is the Slack and GitHub integration. It makes it easy to work in teams and stay aligned on PRs. I really like being able to work with the QA team directly through Slack in an organized way.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

Emoji reactions don’t always seem to carry over between platforms, so reacting to thins in GitHub do not show up in Slack.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Axolo is solving the disconnect between Slack and GitHub. By bridging Slack and GitHub, it keeps everyone on the team in the loop without constantly switching tools.

 ### 24. Amazing tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Enrique J. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

Help me improve the feedback for my code review.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

None, as long as I used Axolo, it worked flawlessly.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improvement in the automation of feedback from code reviews

 ### 25. Axolo: A Game-Changer for PR Management and Team Collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Henrique G. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

Axolo has transformed our GitHub pull request workflow with its seamless Slack integration. The platform excels at streamlining PR organization and review assignments, making our development process much more efficient. The integration between GitHub and Slack works flawlessly, ensuring our team stays informed and coordinated. The automatic notifications and clear visibility of PR status have significantly improved our team's productivity and communication.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

Initially, we faced some challenges in organizing PR reviewer assignments and establishing a structured review process. However, these early hurdles were overcome as we became more familiar with the platform's features and capabilities. While this wasn't a long-term issue, the learning curve for optimizing reviewer management could be slightly gentler for new teams.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Axolo addresses several critical challenges in our development workflow. First, it solves the problem of PR visibility and tracking by centralizing all PR-related communications in Slack. This integration eliminates the need to constantly switch between GitHub and communication platforms. Second, it streamlines the reviewer assignment process, which was previously a pain point for our team. The automated notifications and clear status updates have significantly reduced PR review delays and improved our team's overall efficiency. Finally, it helps maintain a more organized and structured review process, ensuring that no PRs fall through the cracks.

 ### 26. Simple & convenient

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erik L. | Senior Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

I find it difficult to track GitHub in all of the noise of notifications -- emails, UI notifications, etc. Axolo simplifies this -- new channels created for each PR I'm added to, which shows up in the default section of Slack, so I always know if it's a new PR. Then, I can quickly jump into the PR for a deep review and then follow up conversations directly in Slack once I have context. I pretty much use it multiple times a day to do my work.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

Ancient PRs that are closed sometimes don't automatically archive (ie. 6 + months old). I would like a way to specify a section for all my PR channels to go to.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All the noise of notifications goes away. I don't get GitHub emails anymore or little red dots in the UI, so I can focus on other things.

 ### 27. Axolo opens eyes!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leann H. | Senior Technical Integrations Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

I've been getting eyes on my MRs so much quicker since starting to use Axolo and as an infrequent email checker, can easily see a Slack notification when I've been tagged in an MR. I absolutely love it!

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

I don't love how I'm not sure if the people I'm tagging in my MRs are current users of Axolo. Although I can generally tell when I don't get feedback from someone for a day or two that they are likely not using Axolo..

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When working with developers, who often have their heads down and are laser focused on other tasks, it can be difficult to get eyes on code that I need reviewed. Often after waiting a day or two I'd have to tag all of my reviewers in a Slack message and poke them to get someone on my MR. Now that I'm using Axolo I'm confident they're getting the notifications without feeling like I'm being impatient or pestering anyone. Also much easier to read notes left via Axolo vs trying to locate in an MR.

 ### 28. Axolo works great!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

The best part is being able to leave review comments in threads in slack. The slack interface is much better for messaging than GH, so it's more pleasant to stay there for long PR back-and-forths.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

It's a tiny bit noisy, but it cleans up after itself, so not really an issue

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Faster PR reviews

 ### 29. Makes communication on PRs 1000x smoother

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrien B. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

Axolo has become such a core part of my reviewing workflow that I'm never going back. Installing it is a two click process, and the product just does what it should do, without annoying extra features you can't disable.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

I've been using Axolo for several months now, and so far there's nothing that's been causing issues. It's been simple, fast and reliable.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Built in notifications on github pull requests are slow and email based, which makes review rounds much slower than they need to be. Axolo speeds up everything, and makes the review process much more transparent to the rest of the team. Slack is where communication happens anyway.

 ### 30. PR visibility in Slack, very well executed

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

I love seeing new PRs submitted by teammates and dedicated Slack channels for PRs I'm working on / am assigned to. Super intuitive to respond in Slack and "just works" mirroring over to Github and back to Slack

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

None that I can think of tbh. Free tier is pretty generous with 50 free open PRs and fits most of our teams needs

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Giving visibility into teammates work and progress against PRs, without having to fish around in Github to see everything. Just shows up in Slack, exactly the way I want it to show up

 ### 31. Best slack <> github app out there

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jackson M. | Senior Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

One click automatic slack channels for each PR. Stupid simple to use and free. Fantastic

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

I haven't ran into any real negatives yet

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reduces latency when reviewing PRs, slack is a better communication app than github so we'd prefer to use it.

 ### 32. Really god way to stay in sync with your PRs in a single place

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

Channel creation, rename, and archive are the best three things. Comment syncing is great. We set it up only from GH to Slack so that you get GH updates in Slack but you can still chat in Slack without creating a thousands comment in GitHub.

We use it every day multiple times a day. Easy to setup in Slack.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

Sometimes is hard to understand where messages are coming from. It would be nice to have a different name when syncing messages both ways

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seeing open PRs in Slack and having a place to chat about those PRs

 ### 33. Easy PR visibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cesar M. | Senior Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

Having all the PR status updates in Slack makes indeed life easier.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

Can't think on something that I didn't like... So far all good.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visibility and communication.

 ### 34. Great Slack Integration for team productivity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Theodore H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

Instantly receive updates in Slack regarding your relevant PRs and respond in the same thread!

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

I wish there was a better way to nest the PR channels in a specific Slack folder

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Axolo does a great job getting reviews in front of the reviewer and allowing them to easily traverse the PR and relevant information.

 ### 35. Incredible tool to manage PRs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raymundo C. | Technical Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

Create Slack channels automatically for each PR created. This helps when you should check dozens of PRs by sprint.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

There is not something that I don't like

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my team, we create at least 20 PRs per sprint. Since integrating Axolo, the review workflows have become much more streamlined and have followed a more natural order regarding communication within GitHub. This is because Axolo automatically synchronizes with Slack, making collaboration more efficient.

 ### 36. Great!

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

Improves workflow, efficiency, and speed, even in startups

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

nothing, the product is great and doesnt have any issues

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving all of our problems with having to directly go to Git

 ### 37. Integrates slack and github operations seemlessly

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dellan M. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

I favorite feature is integrating github pull requests to respective slack channels where you can chat and discuss the PR without poluting the github PR conversations. it also sync and notifies about new messages from the PR to the respective channel. once the PR is merge, the channel is archived. pretty sweet.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

So far I haven't gotten any issue worth noting.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asynchronous communication on Github, and PR discussion polution.

 ### 38. Capturing slack code feedback is huuuge

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Doug T. | Principal Engineer - Search, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

The most seamless integration between slack and Github I've seen. I'm really impressed with how easy it is to capture slack discussion on the pull request so its not lost for posterity.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

Not much I dislike about it. It might be nice if you could merge, etc from slack, but otherwise its an amazing product.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

First of all, it keeps you up to date on your Github related work via Slack. So you don't miss PRs, etc. But the fact it also connects your slack and github conversations makes it really easy to use. So you don't lose those slack conversations about code, but instead they get captured to the history of the project.

 ### 39. Axolo helps us work smoother, staying at slack

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nadav N. | Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

It makes my PR experience much better by providing updating(!) status and comments from the team. it's really easy to onboard and we use it constantly, everyday!

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

there's no real way to gather all PR channels to the same group.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Moving between different platforms to get updates about reviews, merges and comments on PRs

 ### 40. Good

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

It is nice to have gh prs in slack and It is easier to communicate

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

it would be better if I could somehow have all slack emojis on github

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps communicate on github prs

 ### 41. No More "I Responded to your comments" messages

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Electronics | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

Axolo speeds up the review process by getting rid of the phone tag we have when going back and forth with review comments. We have been using Axolo for well over a year and use it daily.

Our team mainly works in 2 different repositories on 2 different organizations (thanks to a company merger) and reviews on the one that didn't have axolo set up were way slower and took way more wrangling of reviews to actually do a review until we eventually got Axolo set up on both repositories.

The Axolo team has been very quick to respond anytime we near to reach out to them

There are 2 killer aspects to Axolo that set it apart when we did our initial survey of what was available.

1. It make a channel dedicated to the topic so you know where to go to discuss the changes. Which reduces the times where we have the same conversation in 2 different DMs with reviewers at the same time. And then those conversations are memorialized on github so you could reference them if needed instead of searching all of your slack messages

2. Inline comments making their own thread in Slack where that particular snippet is discussed really helps keep everything straight. and makes it so that you can actually participate in the conversation without having to open github to cross-reference. Having the snippet appear in the thread also really helps out

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

Non-inline comments don't start threads in github, but they can have threads in Slack, so those can make the github page look pretty messy because every Slack thread response become a solo comment in Github. I'm not sure how I would implement it differently though since that's more of a mismatch between Slack and Github than being Axolo's fault

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slow pull request reviews slow down time to getting firmware releases out.

 ### 42. Axolo helps me a lot with code reviews

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Program Development | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

I receive notifications even when a PR has a small change

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

Nothing, at least until now, i don't see any down side, it's even better than the official Github bot for slack since i don't need to leave Slack to comment anything, we can even approve a PR from the slack channel

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Great integration between code review on github and slack channels

 ### 43. Axolo increased our team productivity by a large figure

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicolas T. | Front End Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

Axolo improves greatly the collaboration between tech employees. It creates a frictionless experience between slack and github/gitlab. This soft spot between code review and usual communication is generaly a pain point in most entreprises. The bridge Axolo creates between the two helps me stay organized and focus.
Plus, thanks to the notification received at the end of each deploy I don't waste time by constantly checking github actions.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

The admin dashboard is kind of ugly.
Besides I think they could get inspiration from Google code review's tool to help developer organize their code review in some way.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- keeps very clear what branches are currentmy being worked on
- notify peers when branch is ready for code review
- improve experience for discussion around code review

 ### 44. A must have to increase productivity!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexis F. | Développeur Back-End, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

Easy integration.
Easy implementation.
Easy to use.
I use it every day and it helps me so much with my productivity.
Indeed its Slack integration helps me stay alert on new Pull Request submission. Each new PR creates a new Slack channel and auto invites reviewers to the channel. You can discuss in the Slack channel and all the messages are replicated in the PR. You can't miss information and it really helps being up to date and reactive!

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

There's nothing I dislike about Axolo it rocks!

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Axolo helps us be aware of Pull Requests and stay reactive about it.
You can't miss information!

 ### 47. Great for asynchronous communication

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Axolo?**

I've been using Axolo for nearly a year to manage my team's GitHub pull requests, and it has significantly streamlined our workflow. Axolo excels in tracking live PRs, ensuring that nothing slips through the cracks. One of its standout features is the automated reminder system, which helps maintain review cadence without manual intervention—this is crucial for keeping our projects on schedule.

Additionally, Axolo supports asynchronous communication, which allows our team members to collaborate effectively, even across different time zones. This feature has been invaluable for us, particularly when addressing complex issues that require thoughtful discussion.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

As teams grow, Axolo requires adjustments; for us, moderating the number of reviewers per code review has been key to managing notification volumes.

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Axolo provides slack channels to monitor all active pull requests. This visibility ensures that PRs are not overlooked and helps in prioritizing review tasks effectively. For our team, this means faster turnaround times and more structured workflow management, reducing bottlenecks that can slow down project timelines.

Automated Reviewer Reminders: Keeping the momentum in PR reviews can be challenging, especially with multiple team members involved. Axolo automates the reminder process, nudging reviewers when their input is needed. This feature has minimized delays in feedback and approvals, enhancing our team's efficiency and reducing the time PRs remain open.

Axolo makes life so much easier. I can instantly see how many PRs I've got waiting for reviews, in review or PRs that I need to review. Any comments are visible instantly and I'm notified in Slack. It's a quick click to reply or to dig in further. Even actions like tests & sonarcloud runs are shown.

**What do you dislike about Axolo?**

You'll never want to develop without it again and, rightly, it isn't free!

**What problems is Axolo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- I can instantly see which PRs are in flight
- I can quickly respond to comments and see when somebody has asked a question about some code
