It needs to be updated to 2019 but i love it either way. i believe a lot of the features are now built in other programs such as revit. **What do you dislike about Autodesk Ecotest Analysis?** the lack of updates. as far as i know they havent updated it in a while. but i understand other implementations are important. so i do like that its getting rolled out in the autodesk platform. **Recommendations to others considering Autodesk Ecotest Analysis:** get familiar with the processes and youll be able to understand workflows better. **What problems is Autodesk Ecotest Analysis solving and how is that benefiting you?** having a great deal of knowledge prior to going to the engineers is key. having a good sense of what the design impacts are as you build a model are also extreemely important. ### 9. I used it a lot for urban design projects in early stages to help determine the design, and found that it was easy to use after noodling around with it for a while. Used mostly for wind and solar analysis. **What do you dislike about Autodesk Ecotest Analysis?** There's a learning curve when you first use it, and definitely need to do a few trial and errors before getting the hang of it. The interface isn't the most easy to use but it isn't difficult to figure out. I also found it was best when I went in knowing what info I wanted to get from it. It isn't for going in and discovering while doing. Definitely used as a supplemental tool to other autodesk programs. **Recommendations to others considering Autodesk Ecotest Analysis:** Do some trials and work with it on your own before jumping into using it in a professional setting. It's great but always much easier after having used it on your own. I used it quite a bit doing wind analysis for urban design projects and found it very easy to read and interpret as time went on, but initially found it to be easy to use but harder to interpret and use in projects. **What problems is Autodesk Ecotest Analysis solving and how is that benefiting you?** Gives a more environmentally and location-ally accurate information. Benefits have been that it helps inform environmental decisions in the design process, and can be used in any stage of the design process. ### 10. I think Ecotect is good for basic climate analysis and sun location visualization. **Recommendations to others considering Autodesk Ecotest Analysis:** To use Ecotect for research purpose is recommended as it offer great deal of visual interpretations and presentation. However i only recommend you to engage with the solar and daylighting analysis rather than energy simulation. **What problems is Autodesk Ecotest Analysis solving and how is that benefiting you?** I reccomend this software for energy and lighting analysis. You have to model this inside the software to get the anaysis tools to work.
