I love how easy it is to use, and their customer support is always fantastic. We’ve had no issues with connection or downtime, which keeps everything running smoothly. Our patrons also love the new look of the OPAC and how simple it is to navigate. The features Atriuum offers work really well for our library’s needs.

Honestly, nothing comes to mind. I’ve been working with Atriuum for seven years and have never considered switching. It consistently meets our needs and has been a reliable system for our library.

**What do you like best about Atriuum ILS?**

Atriuum is a reliable, user-friendly library system that makes everyday tasks like cataloging, circulation, reporting, and patron management simple and efficient. Its web-based design allows access from any device, and the modern catalog and mobile app make it easy for patrons to engage with library resources. The system integrates smoothly with eBook platforms and student information systems, reducing extra work for staff. Reporting tools are strong and useful for tracking circulation, inventory, and administrative needs. Regular updates keep the system current, and customer support is consistently responsive and helpful. Overall, Atriuum offers excellent value for schools and small-to-mid-sized libraries, providing a well-rounded solution without unnecessary complexity.

**What do you dislike about Atriuum ILS?**

The reports can be difficult to navigate, but the support offered by Booksytems offsets this negative. If you are new to the library and Atriuum, it can be a steep learning curve.

Recent updates to the help section have made figuring things out on my own easier. Reporting tools make it easier to track circulation, inventory, and administrative data. Overall, Atriuum saves time, reduces complexity, and improves both staff efficiency and the user experience.

**What do you like best about Atriuum ILS?**

Atriuum is a spectacular library automation software that has significantly streamlined our library management processes. One of the features I truly appreciate is how seamlessly it integrates with our student management system. This integration makes accessing student information quick and effortless, while still giving me the autonomy to adjust student records as needed—something that adds a lot of flexibility to my workflow.

The user interface is intuitive, and the software is robust enough to handle everything from cataloging to circulation smoothly. It has made managing our resources and student checkouts much more efficient and reliable. The program contains extra features, but works "like it has common sense" that allows me to easily complete any task I ask it to perform.

What truly sets Atriuum apart, however, is the outstanding customer service. Suzanne Lewis is always personally available to answer any questions I have, and her support has been invaluable. I’ve also attended several workshops she has conducted, which have helped me tremendously in my role as a librarian.

Overall, Atriuum is an outstanding tool that combines power, flexibility, and ease of use, making it an essential part of our library’s daily operations. It is the first program I turn on in the morning and the last I use in the afternoons.

**What do you dislike about Atriuum ILS?**

There are no downsides, but I do have one thing I would like to incorporate. The only enhancement I would love to see in future updates is integration with Renaissance. Being able to view a student’s test records and automatically import their ZPD (Zone of Proximal Development) would be a game-changer, enabling even more tailored support for our students’ reading growth.  I currently have to toggle between the two programs or import the information from a CSV file. I realize that is a lot to hope for because it would require two independent companies to share data.

**What problems is Atriuum ILS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the problem of not only checking in and out books, but also managing my student data.  I am a numbers person, and I know with Atriuum, my data is accurate and secure.  I also love being able to import almost any information I need through CSV files.

**What do you like best about Atriuum ILS?**

It is very intuitive and easy to use. New staff are up and running in no time!
My second favorite thing, as the manager of the tech side of our ILS, is that I can use RegEx in my reports. This makes it very powerful for getting information (and also for making the occasional mass-edit of our data).
I also love that it gets updated frequently and meaningfully. Book Systems is always making improvements to an already great product. Our last ILS hadn't changed anything in years.
Switching to Atriuum was painless.

**What do you dislike about Atriuum ILS?**

It is not the most visually appealing: there are some menus that are just plain text links all lined up and it takes a few extra moments to find what I want every time. Fortunately, this is mostly a problem for less common tasks. Common tasks have much friendlier buttons and icons.

**What problems is Atriuum ILS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was much more cost effective than our previous ILS and does a lot more, all while listening to us and making improvements all the time.
They have made cleaning up our data much easier.

Not only is the software for the ILS impressive, but the customer service and IT response is phenomenal!!

**What do you dislike about Atriuum ILS?**

If I have to say anything negative, it would be that occasionally required software downloads for applications, like the receipt printer, do not want to behave with staff workstations and require IT or staff to review and change settings.

**What problems is Atriuum ILS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Atriuum ILS improves cataloging speed, integration with MeLCat and Libby's online catalogs, and provides an app through Librista to allow patrons to easily manage their accounts. All of this frees up staff time and allows for patrons to have a streamlined experience.

**What do you like best about Atriuum ILS?**

I love the customer support and my salesman/vendor, Bruce Price, is amazing. Any time I have a question, they get me to the appropriate tech person in no time.  Uploading records and maintaining the database is super easy. The themes for the OPAC are always a hit.

**What do you dislike about Atriuum ILS?**

Patron picture upload can be a little sketchy - I usually end up calling a tech person to walk me through it. They are so very helpful each time I call.

**What problems is Atriuum ILS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping us on track with overdues and the notices that we send out to the student advisors and parents. Plus help with determining the age of the collection and what is to be considered for weeding.

**What do you like best about Atriuum ILS?**

Home Screen is easy to use for my staff and myself.  The implementation process was very informative and easy to guide us through the steps.  If I had any questions, I called and received my answer the same day.  Customer support was very helpful .  There are so many great features when using Atriuum .  I like the statistical reports, adding or editing a new patron, and when cataloging, the process is very easy.  The integration process was very easy.  I liked the timeline.  This way I knew where we were in the steps on becoming live.  Patrons and staff both are liking the mobile app.  They can look at their account, put a reserve on a title, put a hold on a book or look up a title to see if we have it.  The patrons can use Atriuum anytime and often.  They are able to see their history, etc.

**What do you dislike about Atriuum ILS?**

I have not really found a dislike when using Atriuum.  The only thing I have found is the reports are a little hard to use.

It is helping us maintain our ILS with easy and total control.

Any time I have had a problem with something I was trying to do and didn't know how to do it, they were there to help me out. When I have seen them at a conference and spoke to them about an issue I was having, Mrs. Susan would not let me walk away until she seen my issues were fixed. The people are very friendly and very willing to help. The system is easy to use and easy to understand. I highly recommend Atrium to anyone that has a library.

The most helpful thing about this system is how direct/user friendly all of the features are especially for a new librarian with limited experience.

I feel like a lot of other schools use Destiney products so sometimes it is hard to find answers on youtube for really niche things or ask other librarians in my area for advice.

It is easy to use and benefits me directly as a way to keep track of my library as a management system. It is easy to use and my students are able to use it easily.

**What do you like best about Atriuum ILS?**

I have used Atriuum every day for over 12 years, and I really like using it. When I first started using Atriuum, I had to teach myself and it was easy to implement. Atriuum is user friendly and everything is organized by tabs that you can open to find the specific topic you are looking for. The support is also easy to use and they always get back to you quickly. Atriuum also integrates seamlessly with the other programs that our school is using.

**What do you dislike about Atriuum ILS?**

The one thing that I would like to see added is the feature for Administrators to make certain fields mandatory when cataloging a record. This would be helpful when you have Paralibrarians cataloging.

Atriuum allows us to manage 22 libraries in our school district. All the features make it a benefit and easy to use as an administrator.

So far I haven't seen anything I don't like!

Atriuum makes everything easier. Patron usage is much easier to explain and they catch on faster. The many options have helped the staff in running reports needed to more efficiently run our library. Easier cataloging has been a HUGE help for our cataloger. We also love that you can search donated books by the Donor or by the Person it was given in Memory of! This feature is one we've wanted for years!
Their quick response when support is needed is off the charts and always spot on!

The inputting of student information can be hard and tedious.

The Inventory system is a great at keeping track of our books.

To simplify this task, we recommend exporting your student data from your Student Information System (SIS). Atriuum is compatible with any SIS that can export data in a .csv file format (either comma or tab-delimited). This exported data can then be easily imported into Atriuum. 

Additionally, you can set up automated nightly imports of student data, which can save you a significant amount of time and reduce the hassle of manual data entry. If your school uses PowerSchool SIS, you can also purchase our PowerSchool API to import student data directly from PowerSchool into Atriuum.

I absolutely love how I can create different themes for the students to view each month.  I love how the rotation generates the most checked out books that the students are checking out frequently.   It's just a great program!

The customer service is helpful, tech and any issues I have! The OPAC is great.

**What do you dislike about Atriuum ILS?**

his company needs to offer free training every year or every other year on its updates to current subscribers. In person or Zoom meetings are needed at least every other year. PD PD PD for librarians is rare, and for you to provide this would be a great benefit.

**What problems is Atriuum ILS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Downloading Marc records from the provided data bases is an excellent time saver. I appreciate the email notices to students when they have a late item. I enjoy having the choices for the OPAC interfaces and I would like more colors/choices for the librarian's desktop. They help me so much!

**What do you like best about Atriuum ILS?**

The system support has been amazing. Any queston I have had has been answered with ease or with a clear path to help to tech support or someone who specializes in the area in question. Getting connected with knowledgable people is so important when learning the system. The tutorials are also helpful.

I love the ease of adding new books either by entering the isbn number or by searching the database. 

The check in/check out process are very simple for our circulation assistance to learn.

**What do you dislike about Atriuum ILS?**

Getting to the right section to change things within the system is sometimes cumbersome as there are so many labels for each section and once you get into the section there are a lot of lines per subject. For example: the settings for the receipt printer are buried in three layers of clicks before you get to the subject needed and if you've gone the wrong direction you have to back out and click through all of the layers again. I am not sure the solution, but I prefer to be able to figure things out on my own than to call for help and the system does not seem to be very intuitive. I understand the struggle of making one system fit thousands of libraries so I'll just call for help when needed...

I am so new to using this product that I do not feel I can answer this question effectively.

**What do you like best about Atriuum ILS?**

I have been using Atriuum  for various years after using 2 other systems at different jobs.  I think it is super easy, and especially like the new upgrades, makes life much easier, and volunteers and patrons really like the new feature to find out what is available at the library instead of googling other books etc.  Catalog and online versions are very nice and clean and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Atriuum ILS?**

Some older volunteers take a while to understand the flow, but that is understandable, as they have never catalogued a book before.  It takes a few tries to get familiarized with it.

The new feature with listing all the authors books and showing which are in the collection is very helpful.

It is so easy to figure out.  I have had systems that were so confusing that I just wanted to do so much by hand.  
Atriuum was so easy to implement.  As an elementary librarian of over 700 students, I frequently check out 150-200 books a day, so I need something that is capable of keeping up with me.  It was so much more easy to integrate than my former one.  This system is fast for catalogueing.  Keep track of records has never been so simple and quick.  Inventory is a snap, condsidering you don't have to have your shelves in perfect Dewey order.   I love that I can send emails to teachers remind students of overdue books.  Atriuum also has wonderful customer support.  My representative is always available and has up to date inforamtion to questions that I may have.  I would not have any other system!

**What do you like best about Atriuum ILS?**

I have been using Atriuum for over twenty years at my school library.  It is the most user friendly software for libraries available.  My students love the kid-friendly OPAC with fun designs that can set to automatically change with the seasons.  I use Atriuum's customizable toobar at the top to  make frequent jobs a snap.  It is easy for me to access reports, and I can  change the way they are sorted or add columns of information I need.  Importing marc records is simple.  Best of all, the tech support is not outsourced.  The customer service is handled right there in their office with a professional and courteous staff who know the program inside and out.  They always treat me like I'm a priority even though we are a small school library.

**What do you dislike about Atriuum ILS?**

I don't have any complaints about this software or about Book Systems, Inc.

They have useful updates.  They have saved me a lot of time spent adding new patrons by linking my program with PowerSchool.

I absolutely love using Atrium ILS! It can do so much, but yet it is pretty simple to learn how to use.  It has truly made my job easier. I have student helpers and the ease of use allows me to easily teach them how to use it. I love all the different reports I am able to run, but it makes it even better that I am able to customize them to fit my individual needs. 
The customer support is one of the best I've seen. I can not say enough great things about their customer support! Anytime I have ever contacted them, they reply quickly. They are very friendly and knowledgeable and have always been able to fix any issues I may have had.
I highly recommend Atrium ILS. You will not find a better management system for your library!

Most of the time if I do call, rather than email, the technicians are busy and have to get back with me, but it has always been within 24 hours, so I can't really complain about that.  I really don't have anyting I dislike.

**What do you like best about Atriuum ILS?**

I love the ease of the program. It has all of the bells and whisltles anyone could ever want , but still remains super easy to learn to use and to navigate. I can create my own custom reports in the blink of an eye and that makes my job so much easier. Last year, we switched from our own server to having Atriuum host our data and that has been amazing. Atriuum is linked to our Powerschools and data flows seamlessly from one to the other. It's updated daily to reflect when students enroll or withdraw and our students are managed without our tech people at our school having to do anything. I am ready to check out books on my first day of school with students becasue of this. Best of all, their customer service is outstanding. When you call them, you get personalized service. You can call their office and talk to an actual human being. They know you are when you call and they remember your school and situation. I'm always thankful for the hands-on service they provide from our sales reps to the technicians that you deal with when you have to  place a service call for technical help. They are friendly and always helpful, from the hardest question to the simplest. I'm so grateful that we chose their company years go. They provided us with top of the line software then and continue to do so now. I've worked in two different school systems and two different libraries, elementary and middle school, and this product has served us so well in both school systems and both types of libraries. Of all of the programs I've ever used in schools, I can honestly say this one is my very favorite because it alwasys works and the company stands behind their project 100%!

**What do you dislike about Atriuum ILS?**

The only downside is sometimes when you do need technical help, the technician will have to schedule a service call instead of having someone on the phone with you immediately. That being said, I haven't had to schedule a service call in about three years because this program just works, so that really isn't a problem for me at all. Since we switched to having them host our data, we have had zero issues, from my school or any of our other libraries in our school system.

Atriuum ILS has eliminated our need to have our tech director import our student data into our library management system. Instead of it being done wrong and students ending up in the wrong classes or even grades and it taking him weeks to get our data imported so we can check out books to our students, with Atriuum ILS, we have cut out the middle man. They host our data. It works seamlessly with Powerschools and our student data is ready to go on the first day of school. This alone has been a gamechanger for the schools in our system. This makes my job easier because I don't spend days at the beginning of school checking data to make sure my students are imported correctly. It saves me so much valuable time.

We especially like the web based advantage of being able to access it anywhere and anytime to service our patrons.  Even when our physical books were recently destroyed in a fire, because our catalog was stored offsite, we were able to reconstruct and easily order replacements using the excellent reports feature.  Our patrons love the Librista app because they can search the catalog while on the go and reserve books anytime.  In 12 years we have had very few problems and none that were not resolved very quickly.

**What do you like best about Atriuum ILS?**

We have been with Atriuum since 2013 and have enjoyed the system very much.  The initial transition was trouble free and included training, lots of Q&A and attention from the team at Atriuum.  The support team is always available by phone or email for any questions, needs and concerns.
The OPAC view is clean, friendly and easy for anyone to use. We love to calendar the themes to display each month or holiday. Adding the Overdrive tab on a search was a great addition so we can promote our other eBook options.
We have enjoyed a constant, internet-based product that is never “down”.  We are able to use the site across all devices in house and even offer new cards and checkouts during outreach programs on mobile devices. Librista app has also been gaining popularity with our patrons.  A digital library card is priceless!
The Reporting options are extensive.   A library often needs to report on many types of information and Atriuum’s options are abundant enough to fulfill the reporting requirements.
Looking ahead, Atriuum consistently evaluates library needs for the future, regularly offers upgrades within the program and works diligently to make libraries aware of changes and enhancements to the program.
Sulphur Springs Public Library gives Atriuum 5 stars on customer service, a high quality program and the practicality of a user friendly product for patrons and library workers. Thanks!

I appreciate the reports.  They are exactly what I need to report to the State and the Library board.

**What do you like best about Atriuum ILS?**

Customer support is top notch at all points.  All inquiries are treated as important by administrative and marketing staff members and are answered quickly and efficiently . It is also very easy to get in contact with technical support staff and they work quickly to provide either a remote fix, or understandable information on how the issue can be resolved by the user themselves.

I am especially impressed by the respect with which the technical support staff treats user suggestions for changes or adjustments in the system.  Over the years of using Atriuum, I have noticed that suggestions that I ( and other customers, no doubt) have made about one detail or another that might improve the user experience have actually been incorporated into updated versions. It is very gratifying to have a software provider listen that well.   

The Atriuum ILS is straightforward and easy to use once the software has been learned.  Most of the operations are transparent and intuitive for trained professional staff and relatively easy to teach to library volunteers using the technical parts of the system.  Additionally, we have found that most library patrons who have any familiarity with  library ILS systems have few problems learning to navigate the Atriuum  system. The variety of features that come with the system make it adaptable for most users. 

The conversion from our previous system to Atriuum was moderately painless, due mainly to the great assistance we received from sales and technical support staff. I have never regretted selecting Atriuum as our provider.

**What do you dislike about Atriuum ILS?**

The support center is busy and sometimes it is necessary to wait for a callback before you can get assistance.  That said, they always respond to calls for assistance.

The ability to resource the cataloging records of other institutions to apply to our own cataloging process;
Checking and correcting technical records is relatively easy for staff;
Jacket images make it easier for staff and patrons to find materials on the shelf;

I feel like it is fairly intuitive and easy system to navigate. I also really appreciate how customizable it can be. It is nice that almost every aspect can be customized. The rare occasions I have needed assistance, the customer service and tech support have been fantastic with very quick responses. We use Atriuum daily at our library and I have observed other staff have been able to learn the system quickly.

Sometimes it is difficult to navigate on another staff member's login when I am trying to show them how to do something. Because the system is so customizable and we're all creatures of habit, it can sometimes be challenging when faced with an alternative interface. Never a major problem but a minor inconvienience.

I really like the quilt look in the kids' catalog.  I also like how easy it is to use the system on the librarian side.  Patrons seem to like using it, and we have not had any problems.  The community features for us to display our programs are very helpful and seem to be bringing more attention to our programming.  Customer support has been good.  Once set up- our patrons did not have much trouble adjusting to the newness of using it. I like the customization on the staff side so I can quickly go to the tabs I use most frequently without having to search for what I need.

**What do you dislike about Atriuum ILS?**

I would like to see AR levels and points listed directly on the results page without having to click on the individual title.

**What problems is Atriuum ILS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is much easier to see which location our materials are at and reserve them so we can quickly transport them to the other location.  Also, renewing and getting between screens is very easy and requires fewer steps than our previous system.  This has resulted in faster training of new people.

We have used Atriuum at our small library for many years. We upgraded from Concourse. It's a great system for us. What do we like best? It's very user friendly and Book Systems makes it even easier because they are quick to assist if there are ever any problems. We've had next to no problems in all the years we've used this platform.

There are so many options and possible ways to create reports and it can get a little overwhelming..but Book Systems is always quick to help so that makes it easier.

Anytime I've had issues setting up classes, they have always been super helpful to help get these issues resolved in a timely manner.

The only part that I dislike about Atriuum is the help section.   It pulls many different topics when trying to find directions for how to do a certain task.  However, I will say that I've called Atriuum and asked specifically how to do something and they've walked me through the steps.

**What do you like best about Atriuum ILS?**

The best part of Atriuum has been the customer service offered by Book Systems.  I am also so impressed with the user friendly interface - due to bad weather we had to delay our second day of training and we could still easily use it for daily operation.  And transfering to them and integrating everything we use has been seamless.

Nothing yet!  Our patrons and staff are very happy.

**What do you like best about Atriuum ILS?**

The Atriuum Integrated Library System has been a cost-effective, easy-to-use, and reliable product for our library since we switched to it in 2015. It has proven to be a great tool for a library of our size. There are more expensive ILS options out there that may have more or enhanced features, however, we find that Atriuum works extremely well for a library of our size serving a community of approximately 14,000 people. The hosting and maintenance have been easy and consistent. Technical support and sales are very responsive to questions and issues. They are easy to connect with via phone or email. Atriuum covers all the features that we need to see for a library of our size and there are optional modules/services you can subscribe to that will enhance your services or increase options if they are of use to your library. Our library is open 7 days a week so Atriuum is in frequent use every day for a variety of tasks from adding new materials, managing materials, checking items in and out, and helping patrons discover what we have in our collections. The recent up to a new version of the OPAC called Gallery completely updated the somewhat dated design and layout and looks excellent. Atriuum is happy to help with questions on how to use or implement features, how to run reports or create custom reports, and how to configure and setup items to work best with your workflow. For areas where we have suggestions or would like to see new features they take enchancement requests and prioritize them based on demand. There are regular updates supported by release notes to highlight new and updated features and fixes.

**What do you dislike about Atriuum ILS?**

Most of my concerns about Atriuum would be small feature changes, convenience items, or updates to some features such as the self-checkout module. Most of these items would be things that would make Atriuum work a little better with our library's workflow. As more libraries transition to being fine free, we do feel that some of the management of overdue and lost items could do with updating. We would like for there to be a simpler way for the system to be able to automatically block accounts that have items that were more than a specific number of days overdue. Under the old system with fines it was easy to set fine amount, fine limits and account maximums. As we've done away with the fine portion of the billing process some more/easier options here would be nice. However, Atriuum has been happy to provide some suggestions of ways to make it work for our workflow as best we can, and take enhancement requests for consideration in future updates.

Atriuum provides an effective solution for manging our library collections, resources, and the circulation of library materials.

I have used others.  It is just as good and for a better price.  The reports and records are great.  Customer Support is the best!

**What do you like best about Atriuum ILS?**

Our library system is new to Atriuum. We went live on 12/1/23. The staff really appreciated the in person training. This training help with transitioning from one ILS to another. Atriuum is easy to use and, as director, I like that the staff have found the transition relatively painless. Our previous system was not the easiest to move over. There were no delays and the system was up and running on time. The public have had nothing but positive comments about the online catalog. Cataloging has also been an easy transition.  Parents and staff like the kids online catalog. 

Our library system is part of a consortia, Atriuum has been able to handle our consortia needs easily. There has been some adjustment to the unified catalog that was unexpected but not really an issue. Customer support has been great to work with. They have gotten back to most of our requests within a 24-hour period. Support keeps us informed of the status of the request if it is something that will take time to get an answer. 

As new users of Atriuum, I have been extremely pleased from the initial contact through implementation, training and their ongoing support. Everyone we have talked to has been pleasant and knowledgeable.

**What do you dislike about Atriuum ILS?**

So far there are very few 'dislikes'. Anything that has come up as a problem, when presented to tech support, we have been satisfied with the answer/solution. Ask us in a year. 

The only problem that our staff have pointed out is some of the school library functions are annoying for us as a public library.

**What problems is Atriuum ILS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Atriuum has helped with several transition issues. We have had some authentication issues but when realized the issues were quickly reviewed. solution found and the fix put in place. At the moment we do not have a problem that is being worked on. Most of our issues were around the implementation process; these are no longer issues.

**What do you like best about Atriuum ILS?**

Atriuum ILS has been extremely easy to navigate as a new user.  Would strongly recommend to any school or public library system in need of a management program. We use this daily for our entire county and it is easily connected to Booktracks for our textbook management as well.  Customer service is always a phone call away if needed as well.

**What do you dislike about Atriuum ILS?**

For me there are a lot of tabs that don't seem relivent to my personal position and use.  Would simplify things if there were less options.

Atriuum ILS is a benefit to our library as we are able to easily add and manage our library collection.

**What do you like best about Atriuum ILS?**

Atriuum was implemented in our library about seven years ago. The Book System staff was so helpful and made the transistion so easy for all of our staff. Atriuum is so user friendly, both to staff and patrons.  During COVID, patrons were able to reserve books online and we were able to put the books to have no contact pick up for patrons.  It was amazing, we were able to provide materials to patrons in a safe way. I have loved Atriuum since we started using it, but COVID showed us how truly valuable having this system in place was.

**What do you dislike about Atriuum ILS?**

So far, there really is not anything I dislike about Atriuum.

**What problems is Atriuum ILS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our previous ILS did not offer all of the patron access that Atriuum does. Our patrons love the Librista app and all the function it provides for them, including renewing and reserving materials, and the ability to make lists and watchlists.
