Ruby on Rails review by Guy E.
"Good for prototyping, terrible for scalability: There is a wealth of documentation and community support out there for getting up to speed with Ruby on Rails (RoR) quickly. Most of the ideas you can think of for a new application already have gems / plugins / tutorials that show you exactly how to get what you want without writing a lot of code. In many cases, you can write some code that is your best guess as to how something should work, and it will cover 80% of the cases you need to handle, thus giving you a minimally viable product (MVP) you can bring to market quickly."

"the perfect plugin for iterating with tables: When I discovered datatables, now a couple of years ago, I was amazed! It allows you to create iterazinones in the tables, in a simple and complete way. You can feed txt files, json or simply html tables, perhaps extrapolated with server-side programming language, and he creates tables with a search engine included, with the possibility of sorting, you can insert buttons and program them to do what you want you. And not only that: there are many features, all present and explained with examples on the official website, which I still have to implement. Depending on your needs, you will find the right solution."

  10. jQuery UI is a curated set of user interface interactions, effects, widgets, and themes built on top of the jQuery JavaScript Library.

JQuery UI review by Austin T.
"Good plugin for adding common UI elements to a web site or web app: On the jQuery UI site, you can create a custom build for your own purposes depending on what components and features you actually need. So if you just need a modal pop up window, you can include just that feature and not have the bloat of the rest of the package. While there are front-end frameworks that are slowly introducing some of the components that are found in jQuery, the majority of them are not. For a website or app that needs to include a modern user interface, jQuery UI is a useful tool."

WOW Slider review by Luis T.
" Ingenuity and creativity, is the only thing you will need: One of the main reasons to use the wow slider, is the advantage of having a code generator that adapts to the most immediate needs, presenting images natively on a website is necessary to reduce load times and optimize the code compression. By using pre-designed themes, we can accelerate the construction of demos for clients, which allows a better layout, which translates into high conversion rates. Highlight aspects such as importing images natively in the program is a plus, most other products do not allow such benefits, the export of code without embedded maras or hidden libraries is another virtue that can be obtained."

"Easiest way to build a clean JAX-RS REST API - and any other Java web service of your choice: Ability to dynamically generate client proxies on-demand at runtime, by providing the appropriate API (controller) interface class Annotated interface concept allows you to define a common API module (set of lightweight, annotated (e.g. fully JAX-RS) interfaces) and base your server and client on it, leading to a very clean design Ability to plug in desired serialization providers (e.g. Jackson JSON Provider) Interceptors, e.g. for automatically converting HTTP error responses into Java exceptions For JAX-RS APIs, ability to leverage all the familiar JAX-RS server and client semantics (e.g. WebClient, builder-style request and response operations)"

It provides flexibility to users to build an applications that targets all major browsers by leveraging the Adobe Flash Player and JavaScript. Apache Flex SDK allows its users to write their codes in a highly re-usable manner and could be easily be deployed on any major platform. Moreover, Apache Flex consistently deploys apps to the respective application stores thus it reduces the time spent on the making of such native applications."

"Decent Lightweight CSS Framework: Pure.CSS is a good framework when you're looking for something lightweight to work with and quickly get started with that doesn't come with too many predefined options/styles. I also like that it's modular so you don't have to embed the whole framework into your project keeping light. Pure.CSS also has styles for almost every element, a well structured grid layout, perfect to build almost everything. I also like that it offers a CDN, again, it's module so you can just pull the styles you need."

  38. Apache TinkerPop is a graph computing framework for both graph databases (OLTP) and graph analytic systems (OLAP).

Apache TinkerPop review by Olimar P.
"Solve problems with Graphs ?: Apache TinkerPop: Graph theory is a branch of discrete mathematics that allows solving problems involving nodes and their relationships, such as: the shortest way to reach a place or find a needle in a haystack ... simplifying, of course. Apach TinkerPop offers a framework that allows to abstract the mathematical complexities of this type of problems to make life easier for the programmer. Making use of its benefits, the user can recreate nodes, relationships, their respective properties and search operations and complex calculations, implementing the predefined classes that come with the solution. The abstraction layer, provided, allows different tests with different APIs, before choosing the processor and the BD that best suits our requirements, facilitates the scale horizontally. The same code can be used from simple solutions to implementations of the world of Big Data with Spark or Hadoop, whose details are well documented in the available online referrals. TinkerPop is an open source project, distributed under the commercial friendly Apache2 license, with its own Gremlin Graph Traversal Machine and Language, which allows to empower the solution of complex problems of this branch of discrete mathematics TinkerPop, makes graph theory as simple as a children's game with Gremlins."

Strongloop provides scaffolding for your projects. With the Strongloop Loopback tool you can build you data models and API end points with a few simple commands. This massively speeds up your workflow and allows you to focus on getting to market. Being able to generate code that is easy to read and manage allows me to integrate solid security right from the get go. My models just work out of the box, i cant stress enough how cool this product is. Oh and did i mention it auto documents your API for you!! And makes it available via a Html page with built int examples and tools for your API users to run tests. Awesome."
