For example, using an asterisk when searching a part number if you want to do a broader search on a part family is helpful. Having approvals and phase-gate reviews accessible from a single platform significantly improves visibility and control. There is limited functionality for tracking activities from the production and implementation side. Currently, additional tools such as SAP or BAAN are required to manage ERP-related execution and manufacturing progress. I still think it's very expensive, and Arena is adding lots of features I don't use. I wish there was a barebones version that costs half as much as what it does currently per license, that didnt do "Quality" and "Audits" and "Training". The most helpful thing about Arena is not having to use physical paper and signatures to approve changes, and people can approve wherever they are even if they are on a trip. I like that its web based and you dont need to install any special software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that it can be used to generate sequential part numbers and, from there, can generate a BOM. I've had no performance issues with this and there are plenty of support options. Arena integrates well with Solidworks. I haven't had a chance to try any of the AI / Intelligence features yet.
