You can run the program on a computer to a handheld device such as your iPhone. **What do you dislike about ArcGIS Enterprise?** I have had issues with the program crashing, deleting data, and my map dataset failing to download. From basics of just creating the maps to showcasing all your users on a dashboard what the power of GIS is. Moreover, if you are really into Software development you can add your own custom GP (which you won't get in AGOL) services, SOE services, can process high volume of data via spatio-temporal datasets, can allow you to add live stream data and if you are really into Machine learning can also let you do predictive analysis. But overall you can expect good things out of this software along with good technical support (only if you can afford premium :p) **What do you dislike about ArcGIS Enterprise?** ArcGIS Enterprise although customizable, doesn't go with that much of a flow with custom scripts anything open source and ESRI support would not help you. However, the worst issue is Pricing!! It's way too pricey. Infra+ a proper IT team which knows networking+ a GIS team who knows how to get the best out of this product. This product is not for every other GIS user (you need high skilled personnel in all the above-mentioned options to manage this behemoth of a product) **What problems is ArcGIS Enterprise solving and how is that benefiting you?** ArcGIS Enterprise has a lot of Pros it's a multi-tier application where you can have your users fetching data from mobile to showcasing it on Webmaps and then crunching numbers to show it to your stakeholders. Sometimes there's a disconnect between IT and GIS admins on using Esri vocab, but eventually it works out, but IT still doesn't fully understand GIS, other than it's a system that takes much server resources. **What problems is ArcGIS Enterprise solving and how is that benefiting you?** Displaying maps and analysis. ### 43. Enterprise works well for my field data collection. **What do you dislike about ArcGIS Enterprise?** I don't personally have any downsides to discuss at this moment. The reviewer received either a gift card or a donation made to a charity of their choice in exchange for writing this review. **Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2018 **What do you like best about ArcGIS Enterprise?** The kinks have slowly been worked out since I started using enterprise at v10.3 (wasn't called enterprise back then) and as of 10.6 I feel that my user experience nearly matches that of ArcGIS Online. I like that the platform can be pieced together with only the components you need, and that despite cautions against running a base deployment on a single machine, for a small number of users (<10) I have had great success doing so. I highly recommend deploying to Azure or AWS as the software can take advantage of many of the services native to these two environments **What do you dislike about ArcGIS Enterprise?** I was unhappy with the "Azure Cloud Builder" setup experience initially (at v10.5) primarily due to lack of thorough documentation at the time. It has gotten better, but for those non-tech savvy users deploying for the first time, I would still recommend you manually implement your base deployment so you understand where all the moving parts are, even if you deploy to AWS or Azure. Chef is a far better deployment solution even in the cloud, as with a bit more work you can make your site fit your needs exactly **Recommendations to others considering ArcGIS Enterprise:** This is an "Enterprise" system and requires "Enterprise" infrastructure to run reliably. Make sure you plan your deployment carefully and follow recommendations from the community and best practices published by the industry when designing your system. Inevitably it has bugs and some of those may take time to fix, particularly with cutting edge features, so be patient and start slowly **What problems is ArcGIS Enterprise solving and how is that benefiting you?** My main goals are to 1) coordinate field data collection, 2) improve ease of use for non-GIS savvy users and 3) display public content on the web ### 50. The services afford the ability to desseminate data more effectively thorughout desktop adn web applications. **What do you dislike about ArcGIS Enterprise?** Configuration can be difficult even when updating with the new Enteprise Builder tools. We have found that the only way to get the best upgrade is to build from scratch with saved configurations. **What problems is ArcGIS Enterprise solving and how is that benefiting you?** ArcGiS Enterprise is assisting the organization in solving countless problems such as identification of gas loss to shipping logistics.
